  1. You’re right with Ian Kendall. He represented the Lancashire County Schools F.A. at Under 15 level in 1962/3. Stuart Metcalfe did the same in 1965/6.
  2. I saw Ted McDougall playing for Bournemouth in the 1970/71 season against Cambridge Utd at the Abbey Stadium. He was being touted as a future superstar and went to ManUre in 1972. He scored 259 goals in 542 appearances for a host of clubs and country. He didn’t make it at Liverpool due to a combination of Ian St John, Roger Hunt and Tony Hateley ahead of him.
  3. Patti Page - (How Much Is) That Doggie In The Window?
  4. I remember well following the Reserves during the 1966/7 season, which we won. It was a good way to ease the pain of relegation the season before.
  5. There’s no doubt Utd will go in hard and try to knock us off our stride. I’m not sure we have the players to match their physicality or, if things are not going their way, the shithousery of the likes of McBurnie. We will need to be firing on all cylinders and have a strong referee if we are going to win this one. COYB
  6. Very emotional listening to the Hibs fans singing that. Proclaim Music - Like A Bird
  7. Percy Faith & His Orchestra - Theme From A Summer Place
  8. Very sad news. The BBC have just reported his death and ran a story of his battle against his illness and the foundation he set up. Nice touch.
  9. Strictly speaking, the answer to number 1 should be Woolwich Arsenal. The club didn’t change to The Arsenal until 1914. That’s just me being pedantic because I got that one wrong 🤣
  10. Gladys Knight & The Pips - Midnight Train To Georgia
  11. 1) Crystal Palace 2) Mansfield Town 3) Rovers 4)Hartlepool. 5) Notts County. 6) Port Vale. 7) Hampden Park 8) Queen Of The South 9) Shrewsbury Town. 10) QPR. 11) Arbroath
  12. Credence Clearwater Revival - Who’ll Stop The Rain
