If we are selling Raya to bring in Joe Hart ...............
Jesus Christ we are on for the Brexit 11

Sam Gallagher and Ben Brereton
Huge gamble here. Can we afford this style of purchase?
Fits the overall direction of the club's transfer policy: young, British and potential. However, this is a huge risk to have so much money in two players when the more sensible strategy would be to spread that over several positions.

Decent money for somebody of his current ability. We can and hopefully will get better for less.
They are paying for what he can be rather than what he is. If he can fulfil his potential will we deeply regret this

Selling Raya is madness. I have a bias for academy products but still think we would be letting him go early when he has bags of potential

I'm drunk and Rovers still havent signed anyone.
Give me Keith 'The God' Andrews at this point.
Also keep Raya ffs

To save others the trouble of scrolling and reading through this tripe, here's the latest:
We've had no news from India following Mowbray's trip there, Conway's going and other than that we haven't signed or sold anybody. Only 70 days until the transfer window shuts...
Has there been any idea/leak of what the message from Venkys was?

I think that despite our lack of depth in CM we need to sell Evans and Smallwood quickly and look to buy 3 CMs. Two CMs who are first teamers and a covering player
In defences we need at least two depending on our budget. Priorities are a another CB and LB. Nyambe might have some potential due to his age but Bell has shown he isnt up for this league IMO.
Having Chapman fit again will be like a new signing on the wing but we still need 1 forward to add a bit of depth. Graham is getting older and an injury to him leaves us knackered.
We need to hope we keep hold of Dack for another year. Although saying that I can't see an obvious destination for him apart from the relegated Prem Clubs spending the cash to go right by up, Huddersfield?.

What was the goal like?

Really impressive so far, 2-0 up
Both centre backs and Chapman looking great. Will be pushing on into the first team next season.

Craig Conway is too old, was a cracking player a few seasons ago but the fact we are using him now is purely due to our poor squad management and transfers

Williams and Conway should have been shifted last year.
Mowbray is far too sentimental to the League 1 team that took us up. Be fucking ruthless, if they are not up to it ship them out

Mowbray out I am afraid. But the problem remains higher up than him

The fact that we are even playing Conway at his age is a sign of the poor squad management we have at the moment, and the horrendously ineffective January window.
Edit: Right, which other player do I need to slag off to get the second

Those subs are vile.
Hope Mowbry has a plan there because it looks like we just gave in

We are Blackburn Rovers back the team the club and each and every player who dons the shirt (exceptions were Andrews and Lowe?)
Danny Murphy and Bradley Orr make Andrews and Lowe look like club legends.

It feels like this window totally ignores the signing of Brereton
That probably tells you all you need to know about The managers view of him right now
Weirdest transfer the club has made in the last few years.

If we do get Assombalonga then we are aiming for promotion. That is the only scenario where it really doesn't matter if we pay him £40,000 a week. That salary is so small compared to the premier league money promotion generates.
I would be surprised if Venkys were taking that gamble though. Realistically we can aim for the play offs, automatic promotion is too far a gap.
There is the chance that the club are assuming Dack will be sold in summer and this is the replacement purchase with the hope that if we get promoted we obviously keep them both.

Assombalonga has liked Chapmans tweet about joining Rovers. That is as far as my transfer scoops go.............
Good as signed then imo.
Welcome Britt

Chapman and Gallagher would be great signings. Not too much cost, young and loads of upside.
Assombalonga is by the far the best player we have been linked to and would change our season's aim to a playoff push this year. Still a bit dubious about the move due to the large cost and wages involved.

Stop panicking
How many losses until we reach acceptable panicking?

The team has been broken since those shocking loses to Preston and Wigan.

Sack Mowbry now. Shit transfers, shit tactics and shit substitutions!!!

What the hell was he playing at???

I have a really good feeling about Brereton. Given how young and hungry our squad is combined with the good training facilities we have, our club must be one of the best places for players to develop. If we can keep this group together and develop them we will have a bloody good team.

Maybe we were just mistaken. When they mentioned getting players from abroad, they actually meant outside of Middlesbrough
