Didn’t Madonna say Waggot was on his way to the North East this morning to tie things up?

Has any one seen him round Ewood or Brockhall this morning?

We’ve learnt he watches the pennies so he’s currently travelling up on horse and cart as we speak. May arrive by Friday lunchtime.....

  2. Haha this board is comedy gold at times. Venkys get crapped on for not investing adequately (quite rightly) but then when the cash is stumped up we get told that we should be doing a much slower build! Others are saying we should only be signing players that go straight into the first 11 but then when one of those is rumoured to join they say “how could we possibly afford him”. It’s like spinning around in a circle of negativity at times. Let’s just dream for once and get a good nights sleep.

Sorry, i have no idea just got told that it's 70% done and Waggott is going over to Newcastle tomorrow for a meeting about it.

Therefore, if anyone sees Waggott at Ewood tomorrow then I may be wrong!

Fee agreed? Not a clue. Loan? Not a clue.

That implies meeting an agent to me or somebody from Middlesbrough.

He’s a striker, not a Dack replacement. The idea of them two playing together is pretty exciting.

He’s quick, good technically and a great finisher.

We’d need hold up play less. Teams would be suicidal to leave their own half with his and Armstrong’s pace!

    Not happening.

Does sound too good to be true for Rovers doesn’t it!

  5. Only been supporting since the 09/10 season and only 18 so unfortunately I don’t really remember the legends mentioned above. But in my 10 seasons I would have to say:

    Best performance

4 goal Yakubu in a 4 - 2 win over Swansea in the 11/12 season or King hat trick in a 4 - 1 win over Stoke in the cup

    Worst performance

Duffy in back to back defeats. 3 - 0 at Wigan and 2 - 1 at Cardiff a few days later. Scored 3 own goals, got himself sent off and ‘forgot’ to wear the Jack Walker remembrance black armband. Shortly after he ran off to Brighton.......

  6. Following on from the great thread earlier on about the best and worst performances you’ve seen in a Rovers I thought it’d be good to outline our favourite 5 and worst 5 games (and their dates) while we’ve supported Rovers. I’m only 18 and my first season ticket was for the 09/10 season so mine read as the following:

    Favourite 5

    1. Rovers 3 - 2 Burnley             18th October 2009

    2. Man Utd 2 - 3 Rovers            31st December 2011

    3. Rovers 4 - 1 Stoke                 14th February 2015

    4. Liverpool 0 - 0 Rovers           8th March 2015

    5. Doncaster 0 - 1 Rovers         24th April 2018

    Worst 5

    1. Man Utd 7 - 1 Rovers             27th November 2010

    2. Arsenal 7 - 1 Rovers               4th February 2012

    3. Tottenham 2 - 0 Rovers         29th April 2012

    4. Rovers 1 - 2 Burnley               9th March 2014

    5. Wigan 3 - 0 Rovers                 13th August 2016

  7. Come on lads, let’s get an AFTV rendition up and running with some of the regular forum contributors after home and away games. It would be great fun!

I wonder if we could find anyone to host such a thing (someone who goes to most if not all the matches) and get involved with the guys at Rovershat, LT and the Rovers Facebook group. Think it could bring attention to the club and bring more traffic to this site if BRFCS run it on their channel.

  8. How dare you enjoy yourself Dacky. He really aggravated his injury bending down, in fact why was he wearing jeans, he could have injured himself putting them on! Dacky, you made us concede 4 goals today by enjoying yourself and we ought to sack you for gross misconduct. Forget your appearance in the family stand against Brentford, that doesn’t matter. You’re a well payed person and so you shouldn’t be allowed to go round to a friends house. You should also be made to kneel down on a confession blanket and confess to Stuart all of your evil sins. What a disgrace of a man.

  9. My take on it:

Thought that for the first 10 minutes, Bristol had the better of it, and had a couple of chances to take the lead. We then scored a real freak goal in all honesty, direct from a corner. After that I thought Bristol were shaken, and we should have capitalised on 2 or 3 good situations. I’m thinking about Palmer hitting the bar, Armstrong scuffing that shot and Bennett cocking up a 3 on 3. Bristol didn’t really lay a glove on us until just before half time when the referee gives a silly free-kick. Obviously the result is an equaliser and we go into half time a bit unlucky to be only level. First 10 minutes of the second period we looked a bit lost and Bristol went 2 - 1 up after a period of dominance. That resulted in Mogga ditching the “2 and a half attackers” rule to try and get back into the game. This left the defence horribly exposed and we then concede the third and fourth goals trying to get back into the game. 4 - 1 flattered Bristol in the end but we got taught a harsh lesson at this level - we must take our chances!

Raya 6/10 - A couple of good saves as usual but I thought could have done better for their third goal, but there could have been a deflection.

Nyambe 7/10 - One of the better performers. Was left horribly exposed by Bennett all game and was unlucky to concede the free kick for their first.

Mulgrew 6/10 - Left exposed but didn’t really make any glaring errors. Scored a goal let’s not forget!

Lenihan 5/10 - Exposed again but should have done better for their second goal.

Bell 5/10 - Couple of good offensive moments but generally very poor today.

Smallwood 4/10 - Did he find any of our players with a pass in the second half?

Evans 5/10 - Busy in the first half but contributed to the exposed defense in the second half. Didn’t reach the heights of previous weeks.

Palmer 7/10 - Was busy down the left and did the hard work for his big chance, unlucky to hit the bar.

Bennett 4/10 - Had an absolute stinker today.

Graham 6/10 - Didn’t get any chances today but tried to put himself around.

Armstrong 5/10 - Missed his big chance. Didn’t look fit to me.

Thought Brereton was unlucky not to score right at the very end, would have been nice for him to get off the mark. Think going forward Reed has to replace Smallwood and we need Dack back sharpish. One of those days where if we had preserved a 2 - 1 scoreline we would’ve been angry that we showed no ambition. Today we showed naivety of this division and got a big slap on the arse for it. Think it gives us all a reality check that we are far from the dogs bollocks and need to keep going. Fans are most vital to give teams lifts at the low points. As Tony says let’s take this on the chin and move on. Villa will be smarting as well from yesterday so it will be an intriguing game that’s for sure. COYB!

  10. I really don’t understand this obsession with footballers personal lives. As long as a player performs on the pitch it should be none of our business what players do off the field, and quite frankly I couldn’t give a sh!t. Some people on here need to get themselves off their moral high horses. I see nobody mentions the fact that when we were playing Brentford, Dack turned up to the game to support his team mates, and then made an appearance in the family stand and met all the kids there. People can do as they please in their own time and mention of pay on here just makes you all sound rather envious to me.
