  1. Didn't see that One of New Order's best albums in your avatar Gav
  2. Massively improved player under Bielsa's management I've received some stick for claiming Phillips will play for England one day
  3. I seem to recall Dallas scoring in our 2-1 victory at Ewood Park in an evening match the season you were relegated
  4. Possession has been higher than that in the majority of our games Main point is the scoreline as you say
  5. We do knock it about well Tom but we were nowhere near our usual fluent selves yesterday due to the unbalance of our team & massive credit to Rovers who pressed us well & stopped us winning 50/50 balls. Our goal was special, I counted 13 passes from the back before Klich tucked it away, couldn't see it coming tbh You have a decent side there who could go on to surprise several teams, no reason why you shouldn't be looking at a top six finish as the championship is wide open this season
  6. Roofe returned yesterday & was on fire until he incurred an injury. Bielsa started him on the wing to accommodate Tyler Roberts who has done ok during Roofe's absence, big mistake as he should have played him up front from the onset We paid £7m for Patrick Bamford who is out injured until Christmas Hernandez out most creative player should have started from the off too.
  7. Saiz - great dink of a ball for our goal, lots of running about & skill on the ball with no end product, our moves generally come to nothing due to his slack passes, also unlike Klich one of our better players yesterday Saiz can't shoot
  8. Phillips (the one with a pineapple on his head) my favourite player kept Dack quiet
  9. Worst performance of the season I personally didn't like our team selection or the way we lined-up There was no need to play one player out of their natural position let alone four A recipe for a disaster & so it was proven ! Rovers were the better team & deserved their victory Armstrong ran us ragged, looks a decent winger Good luck for the rest of the season lads
  10. Well said Tom You could invite our coach load to a pub or a party & there would be no problem whatsoever Our supporters club are welcomed at various country pubs/eating places around the country on our away travels
  11. Because for the first time in the last umpteenth years we have spent big money on a signing, the manager/coach who is the most important man at any club . I believe Bielsa is on 50k/60k salary a week
  12. I don't know so I just have to take his opinion & hope he's being honest with us I've been following Leeds for 54 years home & away & I've seen some ugly scenes not only from our fans but many other clubs supporters over the years Haven't witnessed too much bother during the noughties
  13. No problem Good to hear you being loyal to Mowbray
  14. Both Rovers & Leeds have done better than I expected
  15. Darren we are not all like that & I'm sorry you had to experience such horrible behaviour
  16. As the game is now with minimum physical contact players are encouraged to go down at will deliberately stopping the game. It's cheating the fans imo.
  17. Apart from Douglas & Klich we are virtually the same team as last season Christainsen fell out with Klich who is a quality midfielder only using him for 45 minutes in a championship match v Cardiff in 2017/18 Improvement under Bielsa Fitness - every player are as fit as a butchers dog Passing/movement/possession - improved 70% Style of play - attack-minded Discipline - improved significantly particularly with the likes of Saiz & Alioski Training - Players in work at 8am, two sessions in the morning, lunch, a siesta/rest-time then another session late afternoon, players finish their day at 6pm Good habits - players clean up the away dressing-rooms as Bielsa expects them to leave the facilities in the same clean/tidy condition as when they entered them before the game Bielsa is teaching young affluent men discipline/standards & how to behave & show respect in their glamorous footballing lives
  18. Birmingham are a horrible team to play against, we gave them soft two goals & after 30 minutes they killed the game off with every aggravating tactic in the book. Time-wasting with players falling over deliberately stopping play as they feigned injuries, we were on a break twice with men advantage & the referee stopped the game , The rules are a game should only be stopped if a player has a head injury or serious leg-break. Goal-kicks & throw-ins taking an age, each defender taking it in turns to commit fouls, four of them booked but two of them on yellows should gone as they committed poor challenges when already on yellows, cynical play from Monk's troops. The ref never really got hold of the shenanigans making it a scrappy stop-start game, however the officials gave eight minutes of added-on time for their antics Brum have drawn 8 of their 12 games which says it all Sounds like sour grapes from me but as a fan I don't want to see players feigning injuries , it doesn't happen in Rugby League, a sport football could learn a lot from!
  19. Hi Jack, you make some very good points We have probably the best manager in the championship in Bielsa & he is our main hope of achieving promotion to the premiership Last season when we fell away we had two inept coaches who were unable to get the best out of their squad over a sustained period This is the first time in fifteen years where I go into every match feeling confident that we can gain a victory or at least get something out of a game all down to Bielsa with his shrewd management & style of football I'd take a draw even though I think we'll win especially with Hernandez, Roofe & Berardi all available to play for the first time in nearly two months. We'll miss Barry Douglas on the left side but my main concern is if Pontus Jansson doesn't play due to his wife giving birth to their baby, Jansson has been immense in the last nine games, a 10/10 performance v Brentford. I've never given a player maximum marks in a very long time but his performance was faultless whilst all around him were having a off-day. Should be a good game
