They are in the competition cos of money and UEFA Fear for big European clubs forming a new Euro super league. That the real issue not over quality..

I havent see any CL football during the week for around 3 or 4 years now.

What channel it is on as no barring on me watching it. It could be on itv or BBC and I still wouldnt watch it. I have no passion or desire to watch it anymore.

You are correct I dont have BT Sport and I wouldnt pay for it. But neither do you so dont get on your high horse

Well I can say you missed some cracking matches last season Chris.

The City Spurs game was probably the best match of the season.

I dont have BT sport either (or Sky sports) but most pubs do.

Perhaps watching the top level players forces us to consider how poor our own team really is and then go over the reasons why and how we got here.

This journey could be too painful for some whilst others have already made it to the other side.

It's not far off 50/50. I share SO MANY of your views, I don't agree with a lot of what's on here, but these are people's opinions, and to say that they're the minority, idiots or don't know what they're talking about is a little unfair. Your opinion is your opinion, and theirs is theirs.

    substitute the headings....

blue = season ticket holders 8600

    red = boycotters 8000

yellow = occasional walk ons fair game for the Waggott Tax

Why is our fan base split like this ?

    Venkys.

Modern day Rovers is defined by them so you shouldn't really be surprised about the reaction when you poke at the old wounds and find a load of infected puss oozes out.

No I'm not the one getting carried away. A "Mowbray Out" thread started after Charlton was getting carried away, as was the "Wagner in" comment on this thread earlier this morning (I appreciate that neither of those were you).

Yes 7 points every 6 games would leave us 12 points back after 24 games IF we don't improve our points-to-games ratio and IF whoever's in 6th place after 24 games has the same points-to-games ratio that Fulham have now. But I very much doubt though that either of those ifs will become reality; this league is too unpredictable to draw that conclusion based on a 6 game sample.

so if for the sake of discussion, we all agree with your wisdom, what do you feel is a fair number of games or time to wait before judging Tony's performance against the top 6 target ?

  4. Anyone know how Waggott is getting on attracting another 1400 adult season ticket sales ?

After this ridiculous and pointless idea has failed.... what will be their next innovative idea for increasing attendances ?

Where in their alphabetical list is "listening to the ideas of fans" ?

Entry to the Competition is free BUT is dependent upon the entrant having bought an Adult Season Ticket.
The Competition will be open to those who have already purchased their Adult Season Ticket and to those who purchase their Adult Season Ticket prior to the 16th September 2019.  Closing date for the competition will be 17:00 on 16th September 2019.  After this date no further entries will be allowed.
Only one entry is permitted for each purchase of an Adult Season Ticket.
The winner will be chosen by a live, random draw from all entries received by the closing date, and verified by the Club and or its agent, during the game against Luton Town FC on 28th September 2019.
The live, random draw occurring is dependent upon the Club achieving the target of selling 10,000 Adult Season Tickets for the 2019-20 EFL Championship campaign.

  5. End of month 1 progress report

Mowbray (Bowyer mk2) now has only 4 MUST WIN games to save his job, before the "judge after 10 game" barometer gets reset to the "judge at Xmas" baramoter.

Fortunately we already have Samuel and Chapman (LycaNewSigning) lined up for the January Window.

    Top 6....

How is the season ticket drive going ? When is the draw for the 10 grand ?

We scored plenty last season with none

We are playing a new system with "nobody down the middle".

Slight flaw... the goals are down the middle.

Thats possibly why we are struggling to score and after about 6 games had about...6 shots on target.

Maybe Tony dreamt this new system and was unsure if it was a dream or genius premonition.

Not everyone wants music being play loud tho. People like to talk and watch the game on the tv.

Playing music before a game doesnt get me more.up for the game or have any baring on my support for the team

    Point proven.

    Replace "people" with "I"

So any thoughts on attendances ?

I don’t think so arbito, BB2 and BB3 definitely still full of Rovers fans, however large swathes of Blackburn, particularly the BB1 area has changed massively since the mid 90s and won’t house anywhere near the amount of Rovers fans it did then.

True but so many dont attend for a variety of reasons. I hardly know anyone who still goes (including myself) and each has their own personal reasons or straw which broke their back.

Oxford game showed they are still here and still love "Our Rovers" but the club failed to follow it up and get them back.

It is nothing to do with the BAME community as far as I can see.

Plenty of Rovers fans to fill Ewood but they are just ignoring or ripping off the fans which they already have.

  9. I doubt the volume of the music contributes to the attendance figure.

The very fact there is a discussion about it partly explains why ewood is a desolate sterile environment.

Next we will have fans complaining to the stewards that the away supporters are too noisy or they swore and upset the children.
