Personally only concerned by signings and the way we are playing come August, so I’m not one to get worried or concerned by the soundbites of a man interviewed every other day.

Remaining in the pram until the end of July.

    In Tony we trust.

Excited about the 5 new first team players who are better than our third division players.

Bouncing through the Championship via the playoffs. Nice trip to Wembley.

Going to be a fantastic season.

Manager Talk. All managers come out and state targets. ..and all should be taken with a pinch of salt .

15-16 clubs will all be spouting the same ambitions for 8 places . If Mowbray came out and stated mid table fans would be up in arms about lack of ambition ..season ticket sales would falter (even more !) and yet when he states top 8 fans will slate him for not reaching that target . "But Mowbray said top eight …??"

Damned if he does damned if he doesn't  but no different from other managers up n down the country. Take it with a pinch of salt and as fans work out yourself just where we SHOULD be hitting this season.

so you are saying he is deliberately telling lies via the LT to sell season tickets.

Doesn't seem a sound plan from a man who has so much integrity. Unlikely imo.

If he says top 8 then I suggest he believes that. In turn so do a good number of fans. Lets hope he has the tools to achieve it.

I am NOT expecting promotion this season.

I AM expecting the play offs as a minimum.

I like Hugill, he's a big, strong mobile front man suited to being up there on his own. He's probably only a 15 goal a season man though at best. In a similar mould to Sam Gallagher. I'd imagine he's have to take a massive pay cut to come to Rovers so I can't see it unless it's on loan.

Mowbray said we are playing 2 up front this season (so Ben can run the channels and dribble).

So that means Ben plus another up top.

20 goals each and a hatful from an exciting Rothwell / Dack midfield.

    On our way back !

Of course that was more Mowbray nonsense and simply won't happen.

  4. "My hope would be that by Christmas if we’re in mid-table and not top of the league then you’re not clamouring for a new manager because I’m trying to be realistic"

OK this is getting ridiculous now.

It has to be a joke right ?

You might as well Fuck Off now Tony and let us get a proper manager with ambition.

The minimum expectation this season is the play offs !!!!!

Although you don't want to encourage people not to turn up if they can't be arsed but many games get jerked about these days so surely the committed fan is entitled to something back for missing out !

so only fans who have STs are committed fans.... ?

although they are so committed they can't be arsed to go yet deserve something back ?

What are you talking about man ?!

Our most committed fans are those who go to all the away games paying lots of money in the process yet refusing to go to Ewood whilst the Chicken Farmers reside in office.

Little bit of pressure put on Mowbray I thought. No hiding behind ‘Well club x have parachute money’. ‘Sunderland get 30,000 gates’ and so on. Quite right too.

There has to be real pressure on him this season Matty.

He had his free pass last season.

At the end of the day we were 3 points outside the play offs and then went into freefall. Firmly at Tony's doorstep that. Flash the free pass.

Minimum expectation this season is the play offs. No excuses.

  7. Fair play to Waggott for good (on the face of it honest) communication and thorough explanation of the process in India.

If it's true, it has to be positive that the owners were asking about THE BLIP.

I will still wait to see the evidence in the transfer market but my ST money is in my pocket ready to purchase.

    Over to you Tony.

    Inspire us please.

Its also because he "doesn't put himself about", can't head it, doesn't seem to have much of a shot on him and couldn't trap a bag of cement. If he does turn it round his nickname will be Lazarus.

And he is weak as piss and falls over at the brush of a shoulder.

Lazarus needs 6 goals in the first 2 months or he simply ain't a Championship quality striker.

How on earth are we a better option than the clubs they are currently at?

Said months ago that we will not be signing ready made first 11 signings, and stick by that.

The team that lines up on the opening day next season will be...

Raya, Nyambe, Lenihan, Williams, Bell, Bennett, Travis, Evans, Rothwell, Dack, Graham. With a few new lads on the bench who will be waiting there turn for the next 6 months.

He can't start with that side.

He is playing a highly technical side this season with 2 up front so Ben can run the channels and dribble.

Personally speaking, that side won't be far off the mark.

    Chapman - Lyca new signing

    Samuel - Lyca new signing

Ben B - been brilliant in training - Lyca new signing

Ben G - getting there - come Jan will be... Lyca new signing

The window hasn’t even opened yet and your assumption that’s all we are going to do is a ridiculous overreaction.

At least give it till end of July before you join the pitchfork brigade

It can be described as a premature overreaction OK

I will get back into my pram as well…. until the end of July

I am keeping my ST money safely under the pram mattress until then. Fair enough ?

As you were Tony.... we trust your plan and judgement.

  11. new GK - Leutwiler

new defender - he will buy one to replace Downing.

new midfielder - we have plenty on long term contracts so not expecting anything.

new winger - Chapman and Conway (mix of youth and experience we need to get out of this "men's league").

new striker - Samuel (this window's "like a new signing") & Gladwin (already being saved as January's "like a new signing").

WHAT A TOTAL BAG OF SHIT TONY !

  12. Hasn't Mowbray said that Conway plays a big part off the field helping the youngsters and keeping them grounded ?

Good pro regardless of level of ability and if we really are stabilised and on the up, then I dare say Mowbray will cite Conway as a someone who has helped the process. It's greater than 90 minutes on the pitch every week.

Having said that when he came on against Norwich it was evident by his play that he is a level above a lot of the others (like Bell) . Just a bit old now. That comes to all of us I am afraid.

    3-0 win today

Trouble with that is clubs have to generate a portion of their own income for the crackpot FFP rules and that wipes out about a third of what Rovers generate themselves before the BOI or VH group subsidies.

    It's a tightrope.

I hope they certainly repeat the stunt with the kids again maybe 4 times in the coming season.

They could aim to reopen the top tier of the BBE by Xmas with a proper plan. No point unless it's filled with additional fans (not sucked from other parts of the ground).

    Great Video.

OK put the kids out but everybody involved in staging the match (security, ground staff, medics, stewards, bar staff etc etc also need paying plus back pay)

I imagine that excuse won't wash and they will be told to play behind closed doors or even at the training ground.

Supporters are not necessary for the game to be played.

    Just ask Steve Waggott

  15. In the past, the tried and tested way to shift additional STs was the marquee signing.

Excited and inspired fans buy STs and shirts. FACT

I am not sure how increasing prices to watch Ben run round like a headless chicken in a dead stadium with 20 THOUSAND EMPTY SEATS is a well thought plan.

Perhaps they have a dedicated team in place (young lads sat at the back of the building) who are brainstorming ideas of how to increase attendances.

Total commitment to the Blackburn Rovers supporters....

Gaffer, I think we could introduce 4, 6 & 10 game flexi STs for all those fans who can only get to a few games with work or where they live. It would get them into the ground and probably a few would get the bug and buy full STs the following year. At least it's worth a try ?

Stupid idea lad. Carry on like that and you will get demoted to the scouting team.

Club in receivership still manages to get their season tickets out (with 17-21 concession) before us...

The words.... "The club has listened to feedback from supporters"

Never will that be said by Waggott.

Fixed matchday price as well £20. No walk on tax. Pay on the turnstile. How dare they make it easy for their fans to return to their club.

    https://www.blackpoolfc.co.uk/tickets/season-tickets/

They also have flexi tickets for those who cannot commit to get to all the games.... funny I remember a good few on here making such a sensible suggestion.

    https://www.blackpoolfc.co.uk/tickets/flexi-tickets/

I was reading last week on their ST page which has since been updated but they also get 2 x 10% vouchers for the club shop and 2 x bring a friend for free vouchers.

Fantastic ideas. All been mentioned on here BECAUSE THEY ARE SENSIBLE WHEN YOU HAVE 20 THOUSAND EMPTY SEATS but ignored by the idiots running OUR CLUB.

We await the news from Ewood, due mid April, with baited breath.
