  1. He mentions parachute payments as if the only clubs that we're failing to compete with are your West Broms and Bournemouths, when the reality is we're getting beaten by Blackpool and throwing 2-0 leads away against Luton at home.

He isn't capable of having a team of 11 better players beat a team of 11 worse players... on a consistent enough basis, it's simple, that is the problem and we've witnessed it far too often.

Mowbray should have been fired well over a year ago and the fact that he's still here is simply a reflection of how dysfunctional the club is.

  2. How can the manager think we were going to win that 0-1? I've never seen a game more obviously going to end 1 or 2 nil to the home side. If we can see it why can't he??? Rovers were all over the place and getting run ragged in midfield.

Absolutely shambolic performance with a decent enough subs bench but no plan B. A change of shape was very visibly needed. Terrible manager and more terrible form - similar to the end of last season. How are we still here??

If we'd have won that match 1-0 it would have been completely undeserved. I'd have still been embarrassed by the poor passing, the lack of movement and chances created, and the inability to control any part of that game.

How about some honesty from Mowbray, instead of shaping another squad of players that are allowed to underperform?

I expected some anger after that display.

Message to the owners: Make some changes now, show an interest and get the fans back through the gates.

I think that's quite harsh. Both of those people you refer to in such a derogatory way gave up their time tonight, for free, to get involved with a live show for the benefit of the supports and they were really great.

For what its worth, you only have to look at the reaction to the whole Rich vs Sam Gallagher debacle that unfolded where he was scolded by the club and the players for daring to say he hadn't done that well, to see that them pushing harder wouldn't really get us anywhere.

It isn't harsh at all and I'm sure they were good for that but they have an opportunity during their day job to get the majority fan feeling across to the management team and that isn't happening time after time. I've seen enough to know some very obvious and uncomfortable questions are avoided.

This is working out perfectly to say: "We tried everything we could" - Blackburn Rovers, September 1, 2021

Hate to say I told you so. My opinions on this club are strong, pessimistic and entirely accurate. It is all too predictable.

Today we've spent money for the first time all summer, on a left back. Let that sink in.

How does this club put a strategy together for promotion out of this league and execute it? Is it a 15 year plan?

The board and manager have to go.

  5. Are we the only club in England that photographs loan players with a pen in their hand? Is that the norm? I feel like the club is trying to imitate the feeling of a permanent signing for our benefit. 😂

Just get some players to actually sign some worthwhile contracts at the club and stop trying to trick the Facebook fanbase into thinking the ink at Ewood does get used 🤣

  6. All of this would be fine if we combined it with some shrewd permanent signings in the (300k - 900k range). I doubt any Rovers fans are expecting millions to be spent but just a handful of signings to show that the club is still active and investing in it's own future would be nice... I'm presuming Mowbray didn't expect to be in a job this summer and the transfer activity does have a look of that.

The Ayala one had all the markings of a classic Mowbray/Rovers transfer saga.

He was linked early doors last summer. Free agent after leaving Boro. Rumours we were letting him use Brockhall for keeping fit. Should be an easy one to get done if you really want him.

Goes quiet for weeks, rumours it isn't happening and he's picked a move to Saudi/Spain instead.

Then right at the back end of the window it all goes through, multi-year expensive contract and no doubt a signing on fee to go with it.

    Hmmmm.

I can bet you he didn't have an injury in those two months.

This summer should have started by sacking the manager and making the club a more attractive proposition. I do not see Obafemi joining, or anyone on a permanent basis that has options elsewhere. Give this 3 months and all the fans will have turned.

I'll go back to this. The rest of the fanbase (Facebook) need to realise the depth of damage caused by managerial and ownership shortcomings. I'm not saying Obafemi was the answer but the reality is it's going to be difficult to attract good players to the club.

Them turning up v Oxford wouldn't have been a good idea at all it would've been like just turning up to see the Queen.

It's the tough times they should be here and face any music that might come their way. Brazen it out along with keeping up the funding would go further towards a bit of acceptance than just turning up for a good day.

They'd be every bit as bad as the fair weather fans doing that. They need to present more of a 'we're all in it together' image.

No doubt about it, any passionate owners would have been there to show their delight. They aren't interested and do the bare minimum needed.

The fans are out there and will bring revenue through the door but things have to be done to the standard set throughout our history. That should be the minimum and it isn’t happening.

A statement from the owners would be nice.

When did the fans last hear from them? The silence and disconnect they've created wouldn't be acceptable in any other walks of life. Why is it OK here?

Life, love and excellence needs bringing back to Rovers. I don't see Mowbray, Venus or Waggott bringing that and it isn't Pickering's fault. My message to fans still inside Ewood this season would be to take it out on the owners and management, not the players.

Maybe they do read the forum 🤣
