9 points off the play-offs now (albeit we have one game in hand on sixth).
You're better off checking who the manager is, if it's still Mowbray then you know we don't have a chance.

This article is pretty damning from the increasingly brazen Sharpe (he’ll be getting his lanyard taken away).
Some highlights -
- Haven’t scored a header from a corner since 2019
- One headed goal all season
- Fewest goals from set pieces in the division.
Certainly points to poor coaching.
That's exactly what it is.

Dig it up!!

I think it is harsh to criticise the club simply for the game being called off - I bet it won't be the last fixture to be affected today - but it is reasonable to criticise them for the general state of the pitch, which is poor.
There's nothing embarrassing about a game being called off in shit weather, and calling it off early is the right thing to do.
It's a new low in recent times.

Do I recall we have an issue with some sort of tanks under the pitch that can’t empty when the river is full extrapolating the issue?
No we have an issue in Pune.

It will be a different feel after one bobbles over Kaminski's foot on Tuesday night. We have billionaire owners today, the state of the pitch, the fact it's been allowed to get to this and the length of time it will take for them to replace it is a direct reflection of where Rovers are on their list of priorities.
I doubt it will happen any time soon, although I look forward to the club proving me wrong.

Total incompetence by the owners.
Maintaining the facilities and playing surface is the least you come to expect at Championship level with billionaire owners;
and the management team that is too scared to push for the standards to be maintained you should not be in the positions you are.
Good luck to the players on Tuesday, they deserve better. I won't be tuning in. If you don't feel like running the club properly I don't feel like supporting it properly.

How on earth did Daniel Ayala manage to get a 3 year contract? Are the owners not realising their lack of investment up front is costing them.
Spend now in moderation, to save and make money long term. It’s not a difficult business model.

I thought Bradley Johnson weighed in with the worst half of football by a Centre midfielder in a rovers shirt since Jason Lowe. Seems to have gone unnoticed.
He should be nowhere near the starting 11
He's past it. Offers very little going forward or defensively imo. I'm not sure why he is making the starting 11.
Then again John Obi Mikel made it look easy enough.

More than likely 10 points off the playoffs now. They are over. Even if we were to get in, how would you win them with this guy in charge?

I struggle with the Buckley not a footballer comments. He's definitely one of our brighter prospects, with good technical ability and can weight a pass very well. If he could learn to shoot I'd be happy enough.

Could see Douglas loan ending if they spend on a permanent left back to be fair.
That would be excellent news!

The only reason I understand for not sacking him is the lack of an obvious replacement.

He has lost the fans, something that most club owners respond to naturally by sacking the manger. Not ours.

Got to go.
Time for a manager with defensive contacts (coaches and players).

Today was a good example of our league troubles and it's largely because we have a completely one dimensional manager, and a restricted budget. Just like our reserve keeper and seemingly unusable centre back - you get what you pay for, Mowbray was cheap and we've got everything we can out of him.
It's no good saying you were simply unable to break down a side a division lower. You should be able to, you have to be able to and if you can't you must be made accountable for why your team can't. He is now repeatedly saying "we were unable to break them down" yet approaches every fixture or style the same way.
He is the reason we're not getting results against teams that are worse than ours. It's not down to bad luck and sadly it will continue in the league with or without new defenders.
I like the guy and wanted him to take us up but he isn't capable. The failures this season are down to Mowbray and the owners. One of them must take responsibility and make a change.

Tony Mowbray Discussion

He now needs to stop talking to the media, we've had two left backs all season. We are short of defensive cover either because you (Tony) failed to sign any defenders last summer and fit ones this summer OR the owner's didn't back you enough. Choose one and walk away or get the owners to back you with some permanent signings.
