(+xx) represents the number of season tickets sold since the previous estimate (usually 24 hours). 159 unavailable seats in W01 are not saleable and therefore excluded from the estimate. A seat is marked as unavailable for up to 28 minutes when added to the basket. It is not possible to exclude these from the estimate. ~2,256 unavailable seats are reserved for last season's non-renewers until 30th June. These are excluded from the estimate until visibility of true seat availability returns.

  3. I very much doubt Steve Waggott is taking his sales figures from our estimates. 🤭 The club will have it's own accurate figures. This is just an experiment to see how close we get to the final tally. It could be completely off the mark. I don't think it will be wildly different, but we'll see. Some of the figures stated confuse me, though. Although I think the estimate is thereabouts, when Waggott states that we've got 600 new season ticket holders... Well... My assumptions suggest it's more. Much more. But I'm having a 🍺 or two this aft and won't rack my brain over it too much.

  7. Loyalty scheme renewals from 17th-30th June aren't included in my estimates because I would have to assume either all ~2,256 of them have renewed, or all ~2,256 haven't renewed. I've gone with the latter because it would only serve to disappoint later if I didn't. After 30th June, I should get true visibility of those ~2,256 seats that have been held for non-renwers. I expect it will give a boost to my estimates thereafter, but whether that's in the tens, hundreds, or thousands, remains to be seen. In the meantime, it seems we're selling an average of 11 new season tickets per day, although the last two days of sales have been virtually non-existent.

  11. All 543 front row seats are now showing their true availability on the seat map. That will boost tonight's figures because I've cautiously excluded all of them so far.
  12. Season Ticket Estimate Latest*: 7,205 (+15) *Excludes season ticket renewals between 17th-30th June. Previous Updates Saturday 18th June 2022: 7,190 (+108) Friday 17th June 2022: 7,082 (+8) Thursday 16th June 2022: 7,074 (+39) Wednesday 15th June 2022: 7,035 (first count) Notes The count is an estimate based on the number of unavailable seats in all saleable blocks in the ticket seat map. The (+xx) figure represents the number of tickets sold since yesterday based on the two estimates. Until 1st July, consider this figure as brand new season tickets holders (see point 5). When a seat is added to the basket, it is marked as unavailable for up to 28 minutes. A small number of these will inevitably be included in the count, even if the purchase isn't completed. This behaviour will likely be consistent on a daily basis during the count, and whilst unavoidable, it shouldn't affect the gist of the estimates. There are 159 non-saleable seats in W01, and 543 front row seats which are presumed reserved for wheelchair users and carers, of which it is not possible to determine how many have been sold as season tickets. A total of 702 is therefore deducted from the amount of unavailable seats. It is assumed that 2,256 of all unavailable seats are currently reserved for last season's ticket holders who haven't yet renewed. It is not possible to view how many of these 2,256 have renewed because all of them will remain as "unavailable" until 30th June whether they have been renewed or not. 2,256 will therefore be deducted from the running figures until the loyalty scheme ends on 30th June, after which all seats should have an accurate status. This will likely boost the figures in the first available count after the loyalty scheme ends. Finally, remember that this is just an estimate. I will stand to be corrected when official sales figures are released.
  13. Most likely, yes, but it could also be someone renewing their season ticket during the loyalty scheme, but moving to a different seat. I don't think that'll be a common occurrence. These complications will disappear after the loyalty scheme ends in a couple of weeks, after which there should be a boost in my figures when I've included those renewers. Trying to keep it all simple but as accurate as possible with all of these factors. It's not a straightforward case of "all unavailable seats is the amount of season tickets sold", but from what we know so far, I don't think the estimate is far off (and will be slightly under, if anything). We'll know how good or bad the estimate is when we get some real figures in a month or three.
  14. Great. Thanks for your help with this. Hidden my previous post to save confusion because it's no longer relevant.
  15. 6,995 on 18th September's FF minutes, wasn't it? The LT actually stated 7,500, and you mentioned to me that the final figure was 7,300. Where did that 7.300 come from? I'd assume some later FF minutes. It's not a huge deal, I guess, because I don't think my estimate is that far off the mark, but it'd be nice to offset my estimate on Friday with the figure Waggott was referring to. Was it 6,995? 7,300? 7,500?
  16. As reminder, we were only approaching 6,000 season ticket sales before last season's opener against Swansea City.
  17. The issue is because forums is missing from the URL. The links are currently trying to go to: https://www.brfcs.com/?app=core&module=system&controller=content&do=find&content_class=forums_Topic&content_id=35421&content_commentid=2335475 But they need to go to: https://www.brfcs.com/forums/?app=core&module=system&controller=content&do=find&content_class=forums_Topic&content_id=35421&content_commentid=2335475 It might have happened when the website home page was set to /magazine but could be wrong.

  19. The number discrepancy in N05 has settled since last night. I think the club might have made some sort of error and changed around 58 seats from unavailable to available since the system came back online yesterday. No other discrepancies from what I can see. I can continue posting numbers in the meantime. Steve Waggott is right that the number of new season ticket holders is encouraging. A few thousand if I'm not mistaken.
  20. I think the club are playing around with the seat map. We certainly can't be 50 down on where we were last night. I think I will have to leave this until 1st July when the loyalty scheme is over because I think it's messing up the figures. So the count I had before the loyalty scheme was 7,072. We'll resume play on 1st July and compare.
  21. Season Tickets Update Slightly complicated update. I'll annotate as briefly as I can. First off, its worth remembering that I've calculated 712 of the seats classed as "unavailable" as seats that aren't sold as season tickets. This includes front rows of each of the three stands, and a block of seats in W01 closest to the Darwen End. At 10.30am this morning, the count stood at 7,072 season tickets sold (+8 on last night). At some point in the afternoon, the system was taken offline. When it came back online, the count stood at 9,467. I believe around 2,395 seats were set as unavailable during the system downtime, followed by the news of the loyalty scheme being reinstated until 30th June. In other words, around 2,395 season ticket holders from last season hadn't renewed at this point in time. With that out of the way, those 2,395 unavailable seats are going to remain "unavailable" until 1st July, so I can't include that chunk in my calculations. Until 1st July, any figures I give will basically be the 7,072 I counted this morning, plus any new season ticket holders. From 1st July, we'll be able to see how many of that 2,395 have been sold, and the figures will be back to being a full reflection of how many sold (based on my calculated estimates, of course) Now, bear with me while I check a few things, because I'm getting 7,014 in tonight's count, which is -50 compared to last night.
  22. Were they "taken" before the system went offline earlier? My numbers still might mean something, by the way, because there are around 2,400 ST holders from last season that haven't renewed. But I think you should be able to contact the club to check if your seats are still available.
  23. Well something certainly happened when they took it offline. Unavailable seats now stand at 9,467. I reckon they've made all last season's season ticket seats that haven't been renewed as "unavailable" when they took it offline. Something afoot with an offer of some kind, perhaps?
  24. Got my maths slightly incorrect. I meant close to 9,000, not 10,0000. We've sold 7,064 as of last night. The previous night's count was 7,025. If we assume an average of 39 season tickets sold per day, that would equate to another 1,716 sold before the season starts, i.e., a total of 8,780. Of course, it might not work out like that. Could be more. Could be less. Pay day at the end of June and July might make a big difference. Or they might not. Weekends might see barely any sold. And so on. Well... I'll keep doing this, as it only takes a few minutes to do after a bit more refactoring last night. We'll see how far off the mark it is when the official figures come out, and maybe learn any fine tuning needed for next summer.
