Because if they don't bother with the academy anymore they won't need a floodlit pitch! I have also heard that they are stopping the education system that is currently set up with Moorland School (another must have for Cat A academy) So no floodlight pictch, no education = no Cat 1 Academy anymore.

It was not mentioned at all to the local residents, someone who lives on Brockhall happened to come across the applications on ribblevalley planning so looks like they were trying to keep it quiet from them as well for now.

The residents of Brockhall Village and surrounding area have formed a comittee to oppose both the planning applications and are already in talks with Councillor Atkinson and MP Nigel Evans.
