I don't want to loan van hecke, after chasing him for so long on a permanent deal. Plus if we bought hyam I would rather we loaned in van den berg because he is a very solid CB at this level and can also cover RB Then if Phillips goes out on loan then caulker on a cheap free for a year or two makes sense, especially if we go 3 at the back

Hirst no thankyou, he's a league 1 player at best If we are now back in front in the race for van hecke, does that mean no caulker? Because it won't be van hecke, caulker and hyam, unless we now know Phillips is going and Carter out on loan If we did get van hecke and hyam we would have one of the best defences in the league
