Only half heard it but I think Talksport linked Diaz with Leeds.

I have made my mind up, he's poor. Not being as bad as usual doesn't make him good all of a sudden.
He got forward once and ran the ball out.
You should have said earlier, it was pointless even having the conversation.

I'm not a Pickering fan. Still feel he's a weak link but he did ok last night. Had a lot of help keeping Bowler quiet though.
If you're only managing to give him an OK for last night, it's probably fair to say you've already made your mind up.

Then just a LB and we probably ok.
Styles who can also operate in midfield.
Came off last night saying how well Pickering had played, but he can't be expected to play every game all season, we could do with some cover.

That's down to Mowbray alienating Nyambe and the players probably having no faith in him
Ah well, he's at Wigan now.
Time to move on, the future looks bright.

If they won't sign, they won't sign.
As it is, it's looking like a good move anyway.

Thought like at Swansea we struck at a really important time with pretty much our first proper opportunity which knocked them. Always worried at 1-0 that something will land for them or ricochet off someone in the penalty area so would have been nice to finish them off.
Worried the referee was going to do us over too. I see we were back onto adding time for throw ins and corners which never seems to happen when we are chasing a game (Stoke) but does when we are holding a lead (WBA. Blackpool).
Things are looking a bit healthier with the squad now, as despite the inevitable September Ayala injury occurring we have Hyam and Carter who were sold, composed and faultless with hopefully Scott Wharton back very soon too. Midfield looking more competitive with the rising star of Adam Wharton going to take some stopping.
Lowlife Sky 'journos' trying their best to deflect attention away from our good win and performance and shine the spotlight onto transfer 'rumours' that they create. They really have no interest in the game or match and instead are just trying desperately to whip everyone up into a frenzy so they tune into their ghastly TV programme tomorrow.
Would be lovely to rebound from the 3 defeats with back to back wins on Saturday against another Ewood problem in Bristol City.
My only, and only criticism is us sticking the ball in the net. It could have cost us tonight with multiple good chances to double the lead missed. Fortunately not a problem in the end but could have been left to rue it big time.
Pickering was important as anyone tonight, probably won us the game with how he kept Bowler so quiet.

How the fuck mowbray's has led us to the situation of losing players for nowt. One of many of his eff ups. Complete negligence to tying down players like Brereton Nyambe Lenihan. He was more interested In tying down his pension
They left under the new regime, they couldn't get them to sign a contract either.

When Bowler is as ineffective as that, you know your left back has had a great game.

Thank you.
I know st Anne's Road was looking earlier and you can park on the Premoer Inn just off there for 4 quid
Ta, that's another option.

Anyone recommend somewhere decent to park for our designated driver? I know various places in Blackpool but never driven specifically for football....
I'm doing same as last time I went in league 1.
End of m55 and head for the airport. As you approach the airport, there's a right turn, St Anne's Road. It leads right up to the ground, and there was free parking in the side streets. We drove right up to the ground then doubled back and parked as close as poss.
It's a few years back obviously, but I'm doing the same and hope it's still as it was.

Maybe, just maybe, losing out on Svdb is a handy conclusion for Rovers.
Having secured the Hyam signing, which apparently came available since the deal with Liverpool was arranged, it could be that he's surplus to requirements now.
If we chase another centre half I'd say we still wanted him. If not, I'd say it's a nice end to it, and keeps the peace with Liverpool.

Brittain, Szmodics and Hyam, have replaced the Fun Boy 3.
Van den Berg replaces Van Hecke on loan.
Wharton and Morton to step in/up to replace Johnson and Davenport.
Hopefully Brereton stays with Hirst(?) giving us options up front, replacing Khadra.
We're getting to the point where the squad is ready to hopefully push on from last season.

Smart arse reply but the stats don't back it up.
Eight out of the starting eleven were here last year and Phillips was also at the Club but not used due to his age. You could also argue he's only currently in the side through necessity rather than choice due to Mowbray and Waggott failing to tie down Lenihan and relying so heavily last season on a loanee (JPVH)
Only two of the starting line up JDT signings, Szmodics and Morton.
You could also argue that since Mowbray supposedly massively underachieved last season, after being 2nd at Christmas, that we should be coasting into the play offs at least this season.
The cherry picking of "facts" in this argument is mad, I just wish people would leave it and look forward.

Just don't get the Hedges love in, he buzzes about and adds energy, but when the ball goes to him everything usually breaks down.
Average at best, and I think that's being fairly kind.
Going back to the QPR game, when you're the only player trying to do something creative, and it doesn't come off, it looks like you're the only player losing the ball.
He definitely gets the others playing, as he did yesterday, his absence has been overlooked.

Players like Buckley aren't blameless as well. That's the worst performance I've seen from the guy. Wharton showed what a proper midfielder should do.
I don't know how you can possibly blame JDT for the shambles of yesteryear. We're reaping what TM and co have sown, as well as terrible leadership in the boardroom.
Some positives are that Adam Wharton looks a fantastic player, he didn't put a foot wrong. If he'd only been on from the beginning.
Hedges looks as if he's continuing his form from the first few games.
The penny seemed to have finally dropped with JDT that Rankin Costelloe, Buckley and Pickering either aren't pulling their weight or aren't cut out for the team. All three rightly subbed. Also that Dack is better playing behind the front man.
I hope the penny has also dropped now that Wharton is an excellent player. He was everywhere. Supporting the wide players, defending, challenging in midfield and putting some nice balls through for the attackers. More of this please.
Sell Brereton asap, spend the money on a good centre forward to replace Armstrong, a good winger to replace BBD, a defender and a fullback. We don't need any more central midfielders.
In the second half I thought Rovers were brilliant. We were just missing a goalscorer in front of Dack.
We need Scott Wharton back. Phillips did well but Ayala was was immense today and at times was covering for both fullbacks.
You can't on one hand blame the poor performance first half on Mowbray, then say that we were brilliant 2nd half due to the performances of Hedges and Wharton, 2 players here under Mowbray,it just doesn't add up.
The transfer market and loan system are there to be used, there are no excuses needed, nor would Tomasson want them.
That first half was down to the players and the manager, no excuses.
With a few back from injury and a few new faces, we'll be looking stronger on Friday morning, hopefully.

Three proper first team players left, the rest are just fluff.
The loan players who left were always leaving, the word loan gives it away.
Supposedly there's a healthy budget to recruit players and the loan market is open to the new regime, as it was last season.
"it isn't a rebuild, it's a renovation",Tomasson's own words.
The base is there, the recruitment side is there, the coaching side and facilities are there, including a brilliant academy, and supposedly the finances are there.
Tomasson and Broughton don't have any excuses, nor would they want them.

Its the amount of negativity. People have different opinion’s, that’s the beauty of a forum. What baffles me is people writing GB off already.
I agree, it seems obvious that the best chance of signing the quality we need will come in the last week.
I don't know why people who don't know what is going on behind the scenes, automatically assume it's going badly.
Let's judge him a week on Thursday.

It's a long, long season, we need quality players in, not players for the sake of it.
There will be quality available at the end of the window, Broughton eluded to it himself when he said he would comment after the window closes, only then can we judge him.

Maybe keep an eye open for a Ryan Hedges clone, the last 2 performances can't just be coincidence.
As for Broughton, it's a long long season , judge him a week on Monday.

Fulham and Bournemouth were stronger than anything in the Championship this season, it's a lot more even this time around with those two gone.
We're definitely capable of getting a result on Saturday, Gallagher is vital at both ends of the pitch.

Then why is he always talking about the ‘project’? What he’s saying in interviews directly contradicts this, so I struggle to see how you can come to this assumption unless you think he’s bullshitting the press about the ‘project’.
I heard an interview earlier, on radio Lancs, when he described it as "a journey".
Pick the bones out of that one.

When you say 'poor team selection', you mean a complete lack of squad depth, right?
Gallagher was knackered on Sunday. Hedges was clearly very tired. It's just a shame our backups are Dolan, Vale and Markanday (who's injured AGAIN I believe?).
Two games a week with this squad is brutal.
No, that isn't what I meant.
Don't tell me Reading have a deeper squad than we have. I'm sure Tomasson will be considering that to leave both out at once was probably a mistake, he is allowed to make one or two.
Transfer Window - COMPLETE. Where’s Gregg?
