I just don't think what you've been told adds up,I've learned that in 15 years,to not take anything at face value. If someone had enough will and enough money to buy Rovers and Venkys were willing sellers, there's not a chance would it be blocked by Pasha.
-
It would be more feasible that they have said it simply isn't for sale and he is relaying the message. Or, like you say, if Venkys have left it to him to vet any approach. But if they are looking to sell and a serious approach was made, it's my opinion it would be above Pasha.
-
If you had the millions needed to buy a football club, you would more than likely be talking directly to the owners themselves. If you were serious about buying it, and had the necessary clout, you would not be lied to by one man and it not get back to the owners. Obviously I don't know, but common sense tells me that the chances of a serious buyer being told no by Pasha without the owners' knowledge, and then the owners subsequently not finding out when someone on here supposedly knows is fairly remote.

Not feasible, in my opinion
-
It isn't difficult to work out.
-
If the approach is true, then either they weren't serious about buying, or Venkys weren't for selling.

The January 2026 Transfer Window

I've no doubt it happens, I'd very much doubt Rovers loan out even their younger players and just say do whatever you want with him, let alone one which supposedly cost £9 million. -

That was what I was asking, it just seems like one of those rumours that is put out there, then 6 pages later becomes fact. it may well be true, having said that, for me lit's only really a problem if he doesn't earn his place -

That came from Norway, and I don't believe it or disbelieve it, I'd much rather we got him for free. I'm simply asking the question where it came from ? -

I know what you mean, it looks to me having watched him the grand total of once, that they see Jorgensen on the right, Cleary on the left and Gudjonson middle, with Ohashi wherever. It would appear to be a plan, who knows ? -

Of the 2,I'd choose Pickering every time, but Cashin played well yesterday and he's staying in on that form. Not really buying the has to play story, especially after being dropped at Swansea after his terrible debut. -
He didn't, he said not prepared to pay the "going rate" for Championship players, which I took as fees. Take your point though, fair comment.
-
The amount wasn't the point really, it was Rev asking why Rovers won't spend money on Championship players. The problem is, everyone wants them to spend money on players, then when they (supposedly) do, nobody believes it anyway because it doesn't fit the narrative. It's all a bit of a pointless conversation.
-
That's why I quoted their end. Let's spin it on it's head, Bodo say undisclosed and Rovers say £3 million?
-
Tin hat on for this one, but according to the Norwegian end, they paid £3 million for Jorgensen. Does money have to be spent on a Lyndon Dykes for it to be acknowledged ?
-
What a strange reply, you ask me why they won't spend money, then when I answer what they would say, you laugh🤷
-
What they'd tell you is, that isn't the plan,as well you know.
-
Oh, I'd wish they'd go tomorrow. If someone has the money and the will to take us on they can step forward this week. They can see the situation, there is literally nothing stopping them making an approach, that's if someone hasn't done so already, and has been turned down.
-
Don't see it that way whatsoever, but there you go. It may well have worked with other owners, but it's the difference between wanting to and having to.
-
All part of the same issue, the problem is Venkys aren't a distressed seller, which then influences any approach from a potential buyer. If someone comes in now, I'd be confident that they had the funds and will required. If Venkys were forced to just get rid of the club, I'd be extremely worried about any potential takeover. As I said the other week, the club doesn't have to be put up for sale for someone to buy it, a takeover in that situation would be much more preferable.
-
I genuinely don't know the answer to this, but how wealthy were the owners of the clubs which have been recently taken over? To me there are 2 main reasons that clubs are sold, either the owners want to sell or they have to sell. I don't see Venkys falling into either category, certainly not the second one.

If the table doesn't lie, there aren't many better than Watford.
-
Final ball or not, he gets us up the pitch and generally makes the other team restart from a defensive position and allows Rovers to reset. It will be important as the relegation battle plays out.
-
Aye, good time to play them, that'll be it. It was a much better time for them to be playing us.
