You've either misunderstood or you're deliberately being awkward. How many players have we lost for nothing? If a player isn't going to sign ,or the manager doesn't want him, then he should be sold if there's a decent fee involved. As opposed to losing them for nothing, which has been the way for some time. If bringing £6/7 million in rather than nothing isn't good news, you'll need to explain.

Not a phrase I've ever used, but hasn't Travis been one of the "rubber dinghy men" for the past few seasons? In fact captain of the rubber dinghy. it's football, it happens, it's totally detached from "real" life. Bullying? Come on, get a grip,it's as cut throat as it gets. The days of pinning colours to the mast for any player are well gone. I'll wish him well, thank him for his efforts and move on, probably won't even give him a second thought when we kick off on Saturday. The good news here is that the club might actually be starting to work more "normally". Cashing in on both Britain and Travis who wouldn't sign contracts is a welcome change of direction.
