  1. His prediliction to doing that beggars belief, he has displayed that particular failing time and again since he came from Feyenoord. The sooner Hughes makes a rule where every time Emerton does that during a match he has to train all the next day with his nob out the better!

I heard that it was training with his shorts off that made him start doing it in the first place. He was watching out for a tackle from behind... ;)

  2. Fulham were poor, but you've still got to beat sides like them.

Subs should have come on earlier IMO. Give 'em a decent run out. Peter on for 10 mins before he touched the ball, I think, and he only came on after 80 mins!

Foul on MGP not given, Savage lunges in to rescue the situation and gets booked. If the first foul was given Robbie wouldn't have needed to lunge in. (Although probably didn't need to lunge in anyway...)

Bentley excellent even though kicked black and blue. He's not some fancy dan with good touches and no heart. Ref should have given him more protection.

Boa Morte anonymous. Usually a thorn in our sides. One of the dirtiest players I've ever seen (dives, flicks elbows, two footed challenges) but the press make out he's a skillful, cultured player! In any event he might as well have not played yesterday. Have his legs gone? I heard Fulham were happy to listen to offers on him and I thought that was daft as he was one of their big players, but having seen him (not seen him?) Saturday I can see why they would take bids!

    Ref - Clueless AGAIN.

  3. When we tried to sign him he said it was too cold in Lancashire.

There's a thing called the urban heat island effecct with cities potentially being a few degrees celsius higher in temperature than outlying areas. Even the laws of ohysics are against us ;)

Sorry! Don't known what I did there!

  4. personally, i'm not convinced by Peter. His temperament seems suspect, and he does not really impose himself on the game anyway. the only bright spark is that he does seem more willing to take his man on than MGP but that's about it.

for the spurs game, i think he'll start, but i'd rather see bentley shifted to the left and gally given a start on the right.

Gally played on the left for Stoke, didn't he?

Why disrupt Bentley, who's playing well, by playing him out of position?

  5. Hi is anyone else on here worried by the lack of pace we have in our team all the top teams in this league have pace somewhere in their side and we don't have any thats why it takes us so long to get the ball forward and we have to try and thread little through balls into the front men and it allows the oppistion to get men behind the ball what are your thoughts on this subject.

Adam, you might not know when to use a full stop, but you're right about our lack of pace.

    ;-)

  6. Speaking about the truth, DB won't come to blackburn. I don't think Victoria will allow it to happen... I am not living in England but I have heard that the living style in Blackburn is not like London. So I don't think Victoria will like it. (sorry if I am wrong)

But it is very great if he come to us. Hey guy, he will score a lot of freekicks. It is important.

    and boost the gate...

I don't think any of the team actually live in Blackburn. He would live in the subrbs of Manchester like he did before.

I really can't see this happening, though. There's nothing in those articles to say that he'd come to Blackburn. All just smoke and mirrors, probably not even that...

  7. There was one interview a couple of years ago with a fellow Rovers player when Tugay could be heard in the background doing farmyard impressions .

May be best to leave him be ...

I was going to mention that. Moo-ing ISTR! If it's that memorable when he's mooing during another interview he must _very_ rarely show himself to the media.(Except on the pitch where he lets actions speak louder than cows, I mean words)

  8. (Wrong thread, sorry, but I can't find that thread whinging about the ticket office)

I was on hold for half an hour today trying to get ticket for a friend for tomorrow. Counted down from being 15th in the queue. When I got down to being next it cut me off saying the service sought was busy. Couldn't they have said that half an hour earlier? Why go through the charade of a queue?

  9. I went to the Cambridge game too. Well, I say I went, I took the train down and as the frost was so bad the train couldn't go at normal speed. I got into Cambridge half way through the 1st half and got into the ground 5 mins before half time. (The game was called off at half time!)

Nobody I know got to that game on time. The stand must have been empty up until 5 mins before it got called off!

  10. What strengths? All he does is;Runs around alot like a headless chicken,Always two yards of the pace,Waves his arms around a lot and is flat-footed................

Watch his flick ons. The only man in the world who can flick the ball on...for himself. Imagine him playing up front by himself and doing this. The blokes a genius...

He may be ungainly but give the lad a chance. He'll come good. He did a good job for us, albeit as a bit of a shock tactic at times. Seemed really popular in the dressing room, too.

  11. Chat with a mate in the pub last night about Rovers crowds and he came up with an idea I've never heard before.

Have the Rovers players actually spend some time in Blackburn. ISTR seeing Kevin Gallagher shopping in Tescos, Colin Hendry out having a few beers etc. If you see the players around town you relate to them more, partly contributing to the popularity of Dunn, Duff etc.

    Good idea or not?
