City will go down - mark my words.
I doubt it at the moment, but I did put a Chelsea champions/Manchester City relegation bet on earlier this season. I agree that they are probably too strong at home.

Cool eye trick.
A mathematical blind date.

i completely agree; looking at the replay, the dive was ridiculous and almost comic. From his position, he could well have had lashed the ball at goal anyway.
You can tell the players don't practice diving in training! Everytime one of them has a brain fade and decides to dive, they end up doing a terrible job of it.

This Reading crowd want blood.
-
Good decicion by Poll there to pay it our way just outside the Reading box.
He's had an unusually good day.
Bentley!!! VRRRRROOOOOOOMMMM!!!
-
Neill with an excellent cross (I'm not a fan but he is trying, so lay off him).
To the person who asked: Reading fans were booing Neill in the first half after he was given a free kick. Can't speak for Rovers fans at the game. You have to ask them.
-
Well done Benni. You deserve it.
GOAL. Take that!
-
Oh dear. Didn't actually see the second goal so I can't say that is offside or not (I'll take it that it wasn't). The first and third were, though.
-
They actually deserved that goal. That's the frustrating thing.

Hit the woodwork for Reading. It's seems inevitable that they will score... They are hammering away at us like there is no tomorrow.
-
Get in there. Finish top of the group. Not deserved but who cares. Roll on Saturday.
I always remember the performance and result at Tottenham last season in times like this to fight off that nagging guilt.

Great player Lucas
Finally a positive post from Jim. Only took you 4400 or so posts.
Well played that man Lucas Neill!!!
-
Lucas Neill sticks it up our arses.
-
He "needs time to adapt to English football" - Great meanwhile he is ruining our season with game after game of poor performances... If he is a true professional he wouldnt need a year to get used to being somewhere... Go home Nonda, your not wanted here!
Stuart Pearce: Foreign players not given enough time, instant success demanded.
Give the lad a year. If he is not any good by the end of the season then that is every reason to ship him out.
In the meantime he deserves his chances at impressing and a bit of support, along with the rest of the players in the squad.

Savage is my choice, at least until Nelsen comes back. They both put in 100% everytime. Ooijer would be a fine choice too.
-
obviously it was just me and few hundred sat around me in the bbe who, for the first three seasons, thought Niell was a clumbsy leg breaker who couldn't pass a ball from a - b.
Taking a note out of BuckyRover's book, Guus Hiddink employed Neill to take the ball out of defence for Australia at the World Cup.
Edit: Saying that he apparently fed a brilliant ball to Matt Derbyshire to put in through for a very good chance just now.

Am I going to be alone in the chat again?
I never go into chat anymore because I'm sick of finding goals scored before the radio has announced it. It got on my nerves in the end.

Rovers 1 - 0 Nancy

One thing I have noticed is that refs do loads of favours for the so called top 4, Chelsea,Man u, Arsenal and Liverpool. There have been some diabolical decisions made.
Surprise!
I am tipping us for a loss (the first I've done all season, I think). 3-1 Reading's way.

You haven't looked hard enough. SI Games aren't the best communicators these days.

Mark Hughes is supposed to be having a meeting with the referees boss at Brockhall sometime soon. Does anybody know when? Also I hope MH is allowed to discuss freely what his concerns are without getting pulled up for his opinions. The ability to show TV clips of the various contentious decisions with a free discussion on each one would also be good, but will it be allowed to happen?
I don't know if this is the meeting or not, but he did mention a two hour chat with Keith Hackett on Radio Rovers and mentioned it again in this article.
"I had a chat with (referees' chief) Keith Hackett for a couple of hours this week."
-
Things are bad when people are actually trying to get onto Radio Rovers. Usually it's only the bloke from the USA.

Hughes is the manager, and I'm sure the last time I heard, the manager makes decisions in the football department at this club.
As the case should be.
