  1. The big news for me tonight is that it looks like amoruso will be taking penalties next season (if we get one)

Ist match, 1st goalscorer, 33-1 Amoruso, get £20 on !

Why does it look like that?

Fergie will take the Penalties next year, but like you say we'll probably never get one.

I don't think Ferguson is going anywhere near a penalty if we get one after the two he missed in one game for Rangers.

    Probably will be Amoruso.

And what about the hatful of others he scored?

  2. ''Dont get me wrong I would love Cole to stay at Rovers but he has dissed the name of BRFC not just with Souness but with the whole damned set up.''

Cole has NEVER 'dissed' the name of BRFC or the set up, thats bull Roverite to be honest.

He did actually. He was very critical of the training setup, and rightly so at first.

  3. LIGHT HEARTED BREAK************

When I told my 5 year old Coles not a Rover no more he said wheres he gone,I said looks fulham. He said daddy can I shout for him when he plays manchester.

1/2 hour later I heard singing to the cole tune ...when he gets the ball he scores a goal johnny johnny stead ...the when he gets the ball he hits the post andy pandy cole.

    made me chuckle anyway biggrin.gif

    thumbs-up.gif Quality

We seem to lose a decent player every close season and lets face it Coles not up there with Duff or Shearer.

    Life goes on.

I'll remain an Andy Cole fan, except of course when we play Fulham. At the end of the day he got to the stage where he couldn't work with his boss, I've been in the same boat, either I walked or clouted him.

    *Woulda said Cole.

Odd formation, we finally get a left winger and we play him on the right?

Oh I see, Dean Saunders wants to? mad.gif

  5. The whole situation is typical of rovers, particularly under Souness. We've taken 5 steps forward and then about 20 back.

A couple of good signings and everyones looking forward to the new season. After this whole situation with Cole blew up, I'd say the majority aren't looking forward to the new season at all now.

Now the timing of all this is another issue. Surely if we knew Cole was gonna leave AND wanted a replacement we'd have slapped Cole on the transfer list WEEKS ago to give us enough time for a sale and the purchase of his replacement, wouldn't we? Now to me this indicates either we aren't looking to replace him, or the slimey @#/?s have waited till the paying public have splashed out on their ST's and we'll rush a new signing in. Either way it stinks to high heaven.

A strikeforce of Stead/Gally/Dickov is destined for Div 1. I'm not bothering to even include Jansen or Yorke as they're finished. Stead did thrive off the space Cole created for him, of that I have no doubt.

    Yours faithfully,

    A truly ###### off roverite mad.gifmad.gifmad.gif

  6. Cole will not go Fulham, from the horses mouth.  He'll finish his top flight career at Rovers and either drop a division or retire after seeing his contract out.

Funnily enough he speaks very highly of Dean Saunders too  ohmy.gif

The most shocking part of this story is that Ossydave knows a talking horse.

Funnily enough I once spoke to Ruud VN too, what an arrogant clown mad.gif

  7. Who's to say attendances haven't improved in relative terms over the last 10 seasons anyway?

Three of the first four gates in 1994 to watch Hendry Shearer Le Saux Sutton et al (who finished 2nd in 1993/4)

    Leicester 21050

    Coventry 21657

Aston Villa 22694 (at this point seven games in we must have been top)

Inbetween was a 26,500 gate for the visit of Everton

Part of the reason we have a decent(ish) average attendance is due to the fact we give away fans such big allocations. The likes of Leicester, Coventry & Villa didn't fill theirs, Eveton more than likely did.....

  8. Typical Merseyside, living in the past with a chip on its shoulder. Scousers Against The World is their motto; no wonder Liverpool has been in decline for years and its population leaving in droves.

Ha ha ha...read it all now. biggrin.gif

What year is blackburn the capital of culture, and what else are you famous for?

Just bitter lad...oooohhh, taste that lemon.

Famous for featuring in THAT Beatles song? One would have thought they were so proud of Merseyside they'd sing only about you.

Taste the lemon? Is THAT the reason for your hilarious (not) MUNICH chants aimed at the Mancs year after year after year?!?!? Believe it or not there's no worldwide conspiracy against you oh so cheeky scouse boys.

    Grow up you clown.
