v Coventry City (a) - 18/10/25 - 15:00 KO

Everything points to a pasting really doesn't it..... Type of game we somehow win against all odds, then lose 12 in a row after it 🤣 This fixture and the ones following look grim, you'd have to say quite bizarrely/worryingly that Sheff Utd looks about the most winnable.....we won't win it mind. -
If he did, he deserved it. Jesus christ the amount of money they earn a bit of criticism shouldn't be an issue. Obviously there's a line and racism etc is a different thing entirely but he was abysmal the other night.

Disappointed not to come away with a win after a decent last half hour or so. Prior to that it was dire. Good job Cantwell has a good head of hair as he must feel like pulling the lot out as he plays forward and his options are nonexistent, he’s clearly on a different level to those around him. Gudjohnsen has some way to go to not go down as a complete dud, missing an absolute sitter and doing little else all game. Kargbo looked to get a shot in the arm after his well taken goal although should have had at least 1 more. I admit I rolled my eyes when De Neve came on but he too played well, maybe partly as he was running at tired legs. Morishita a million miles from the apparent live wire he was against Watford, not sure what’s going on there. Defence did ok, Ribeiro the pick of the bunch and played some good balls in the attacking 3rd. Much like Swansea midweek, Stoke weren’t great either. Can only hope we’re still in a period of new players gelling because if we don’t improve we’re gonna be around the bottom 3 all season. There were at least a few positives from today, I struggled for any midweek apart from maybe Alebiosu. -

Not sure a pre game postponement would save much embarrassment though either. They'll want it to go ahead, desperately, so they can say "see our pitch and dogshit drainage can cope with rain". I watched midweek via the club broadcast and the amount of times they mentioned how we'd been impacted by the postponement was ridiculous, like we'd been really hard done to. The usual attitude from within the rotten club that we're never at fault, ever. -

Much worse where? I've been up since 6am and changed my mind multiple times whether it'll be on or not, it's inconsistent! At 6am I'd say definitely off, right now I'm not so sure as it's mainly the wind making itself known. Maybe it'll help blow some surface water off the pitch in some mother nature hairdryer effect 🥲 -

They've done a matchday tweet of Tronstad in the pissing down rain, what more could you possibly want 😳 -

They'll be setting off a lot closer to 10 than 11 I would have thought unless they're planning on just watching the second half.....M6 on a Saturday in this grim weather? -

I know, like I say it's not exactly a credible source and there was always a very strong chance the Ipswich game was off so probably just a speculative tweet to appear ITK like so many on there. It's grim as hell out there at present and wouldn't like to try and kick a ball in that wind either! -

Some bloke on twitter insisting the game is off....doesn't exactly seem like the greatest source in the world, BUT looking back he said similar for the Ipswich game. -

No he isn't injured, told his other half is in labour so I suppose we can forgive him. -

He should do, Elliott if you see this post this line up before they do, although they'd probably change it just to be dicks 🤣 Toth Alebiosu Miller Wharton Pickering Trounstad Hickman Morishita Hedges Ribeiro Gudjohnsen -

Lancashire Telegraph BANNED.

The LET should just let rip now to be fair, no need to hold back, go to town on the club, post stories they were previously afraid to, put the fuckers to the sword! Would be bitterly disappointed if they just rolled over and accepted this decision.- 353 replies

Ossydave replied to Polky's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I've actually been expecting this for years now, always been under the impression the LET were afraid of it happening. The only surprising thing really is that its happened now when the stuff they post usually lacks substance and they're never particularly critical. Of course the reason it's happened now is down to 1 man and 1 man only, Rudy. -

Well its pretty concerning that it's only September and we've already fallen victim to the rain. Granted it pissed down a LOT that afternoon but there's bound to be nervousness now every time it rains when we're at home. Away fans will look on anxiously before travelling depending on the forecast. It shouldn't really be like this, but it is, and there's no solution in sight. Derby must be breathing a sigh of relief though as large elements of our fans are now directing hatred towards Ipswich instead....you'd think they'd left a tap on somewhere. -

Can't believe the mass outrage online, it was always gonna be a full replay but a lot of people were obviously expecting different. So many possible repercussions down the line not just for us/Ipswich but other teams too. Imagine if a couple of our key players got season ending injuries in the rematch. I doubt we've heard the last of it given how close the championship has been in recent seasons.... -

Who actually said the decision would be today? I know I read it somewhere, but I've read that many posts/opinions/articles now I've lost all track of where I read things and complete bullshit and fact are seamlessly merging into one 🤷♂️ -

There's numerous clubs right next to rivers? Rotherham, Forest, Fulham to name a few. Or did you mean specifically the drainage part as I have no idea with regards to drainage at other clubs? -
v Ipswich Town (h) - 20/9/25
Ossydave replied to Herbie6590's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
It's 100% gonna be replayed in full, sorry to upset anyone clinging onto the idea of a 10 minute game 11 v 10. The biggest complication really is the red card. Suppose you could in theory make Greaves leave the field at the same time again but very hard to imagine that happening. If you're the EFL you're not gonna be very sympathetic. "Ah tinpot Rovers again blaming that pesky river for a postponement lol, full replay it is". Then leaves potential ramifications further down the line. If they won the replayed game and pipped someone to automatic promotion by a point thats not gonna really sit well with the team missing out. I'd like to think we're not embroiled in a close relegation battle come the end of the season but can't rule it out either. -

I get it, but when a road is covered in puddles you adapt and avoid them, for 10 minutes the players on the pitch could have coped I believe. 90 minutes absolutely not, 45 minutes also no, it was 10 minutes though just play hoofball for a bit. -
v Ipswich Town (h) - 20/9/25
Ossydave replied to Herbie6590's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Sorry what? A blind man could have taken the decision not to pass it through the biggest puddle on the pitch. If that's the logic being applied then no wonder it got called off 🤷 -

That's the clip I watched, he's literally aiming for the puddle 🤣 when I first saw him doing it I thought bloody hell that's bad, but couldn't see the puddle from my angle -

Just watched an alternate angle of the ref coming out to attempt to roll/bounce the ball, and yes it was grim. But the tit picked literally the worst part of the entire pitch 🤔 -
