These scenes simply cannot be serious surely? 😂 A half empty stadium will never be able to create ‘scenes’ -

Similar to Nyambe was in that respect, although at least he's got a goal to his name now! When you have his pace you tend to 'get away' with clumsiness a little bit as you can recover from mistakes. Agree on the final ball though, some are rather erratic and the main reason he's not quite at Brittain standards. You'd argue a decent coaching setup could improve that aspect of his game, here, not so sure. -

I dare say both Toth and Alebiosu will be our next player sales....possibly Cantwell too. As we know, much like with Brittain last season, any player having a solid season will be sold. Didn't watch yesterday for the first time in a while as car shopping took priority and I was that deflated after midweek. Maybe I should do it more often 🤔 -
Valérien Ismaël: Blackburn Rovers Head Coach

Can't even begin to imagine who Rudy would bring in to replace VI. Almost certainly wouldn't be English, unlikely to even have any experience of managing in England. Some dud who got a Belgian team promoted from the 9th tier one season maybe? I still want him to go like, sick of the site of him. -

Awful comments on Gueye and whilst I don't completely disagree as he's not amazing, it's a dickhead trick voicing his opinion like that in public. Gueye probably more than anyone at the club is a confidence player, treating him like that makes an average/poor player even less useful! VI is clearly a stubborn wanker and came up with the ridiculous concept of Hedges and Kargo up top as a result. I can't see many, if any of the players liking VI and I strongly suspect we'd see improvement in certain individuals performances if he went. Of course there's the argument they're well paid and owe it to the fans but ultimately its a job to them and nobody at all performs their best if they think their manager is a twat in any form of employment. -

His record is horrific, his whole appointment was widely frowned upon and he hasn't proven anyone wrong. The players whilst in many cases are limited in ability, are playing with absolutely zero confidence and the manager 100% holds responsibilityfor that. Yuki for example despite his goal tonight is a shell of his former self, even Morishita looks like he's had any positivity stamped out of him. These players are not playing for VI, they are not buying into his plan, whatever that may be. They don't like him, that must is obvious. Unpopular opinion maybe but we'd benefit from a Mowbray type now. Not saying specifically him but a similar manager who can put an arm round some of them and make them believe in themselves again. -

That was looking like another decent performance without scoring that was gonna be punished first chance the opposition had. Fair play Toth keeping us in at and a bit of fortune for the goal, that was deffo a shot from De Neve. Hopefully the goal breeds a bit of confidence into us now in front of goal 🤞 -

De Neve probably deserves a start as he's looked half decent last few appearances. Please, just score first then we're at least in with a chance.. -

Do you think? Do you really think VI was appointed because he was the best man for the job? They needed someone willing to work under a crackpot regime and not ask many questions, the requirement really was someone who's career had either stagnated or was on a downward trajectory. Essentially VI needed us probably more than we needed him! Even if he got sacked now his excuse would just be "yeah they got rid of any decent players, it's not really my fault ☹️" so he may save a bit of face. I'm quite staggered that there's still people out there that think 'the powers that be' actually want the best for this football club! As for the game, pffft, probably start really well and on the front foot, without scoring. Concede just before half time and the game fizzles out to another loss. Difficult to see any other outcome. The only way we get anything, even a draw, is clearly to score first. -

Everything points to a pasting really doesn't it..... Type of game we somehow win against all odds, then lose 12 in a row after it 🤣 This fixture and the ones following look grim, you'd have to say quite bizarrely/worryingly that Sheff Utd looks about the most winnable.....we won't win it mind. -
If he did, he deserved it. Jesus christ the amount of money they earn a bit of criticism shouldn't be an issue. Obviously there's a line and racism etc is a different thing entirely but he was abysmal the other night.

Disappointed not to come away with a win after a decent last half hour or so. Prior to that it was dire. Good job Cantwell has a good head of hair as he must feel like pulling the lot out as he plays forward and his options are nonexistent, he’s clearly on a different level to those around him. Gudjohnsen has some way to go to not go down as a complete dud, missing an absolute sitter and doing little else all game. Kargbo looked to get a shot in the arm after his well taken goal although should have had at least 1 more. I admit I rolled my eyes when De Neve came on but he too played well, maybe partly as he was running at tired legs. Morishita a million miles from the apparent live wire he was against Watford, not sure what’s going on there. Defence did ok, Ribeiro the pick of the bunch and played some good balls in the attacking 3rd. Much like Swansea midweek, Stoke weren’t great either. Can only hope we’re still in a period of new players gelling because if we don’t improve we’re gonna be around the bottom 3 all season. There were at least a few positives from today, I struggled for any midweek apart from maybe Alebiosu. -

Not sure a pre game postponement would save much embarrassment though either. They'll want it to go ahead, desperately, so they can say "see our pitch and dogshit drainage can cope with rain". I watched midweek via the club broadcast and the amount of times they mentioned how we'd been impacted by the postponement was ridiculous, like we'd been really hard done to. The usual attitude from within the rotten club that we're never at fault, ever. -

Much worse where? I've been up since 6am and changed my mind multiple times whether it'll be on or not, it's inconsistent! At 6am I'd say definitely off, right now I'm not so sure as it's mainly the wind making itself known. Maybe it'll help blow some surface water off the pitch in some mother nature hairdryer effect 🥲 -

I know, like I say it's not exactly a credible source and there was always a very strong chance the Ipswich game was off so probably just a speculative tweet to appear ITK like so many on there. It's grim as hell out there at present and wouldn't like to try and kick a ball in that wind either! -

Some bloke on twitter insisting the game is off....doesn't exactly seem like the greatest source in the world, BUT looking back he said similar for the Ipswich game. -

The LET should just let rip now to be fair, no need to hold back, go to town on the club, post stories they were previously afraid to, put the fuckers to the sword! Would be bitterly disappointed if they just rolled over and accepted this decision.- 405 replies

Ossydave replied to Polky's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I've actually been expecting this for years now, always been under the impression the LET were afraid of it happening. The only surprising thing really is that its happened now when the stuff they post usually lacks substance and they're never particularly critical. Of course the reason it's happened now is down to 1 man and 1 man only, Rudy. -

Well its pretty concerning that it's only September and we've already fallen victim to the rain. Granted it pissed down a LOT that afternoon but there's bound to be nervousness now every time it rains when we're at home. Away fans will look on anxiously before travelling depending on the forecast. It shouldn't really be like this, but it is, and there's no solution in sight. Derby must be breathing a sigh of relief though as large elements of our fans are now directing hatred towards Ipswich instead....you'd think they'd left a tap on somewhere.
