  1. Easily one of the worst games off football I've watched in years. Positives - well its another clean sheet I guess? After that, I'm struggling. Henriksson I was quite excited to see when we signed him but he's abysmal. Ohashi I'm starting to think has a drink problem or something he's that clueless sometimes, although looks decent on occasion. They were marginally worse than us, but that's understandable when they didn't spend a penny in summer whereas we actively recruited/spent. Granted the 3 most expensive ones weren't playing tonight (alarming Tavares is one of them, Henriksson is 4th too). Also, wtf are we doing with Tyion? Is he injured? It's hard to believe he isn't better than Henriksson of not?
  2. They'll contain customer (fan) information. It will however be an extremely simple process, most probably a simple txt file that's imported. It could, and usually would be automated though and shouldn't require any manual efforts at all really. I suspect our IT department, like most aspects of the club is not fit for purpose, probably a couple of inexperienced/under qualified members of staff.
  3. Imagine a fair few have fucked it off anyway now and made alternate plans. I'm working so wouldn't be going anyway, if I was free I WOULD have been tempted though after an enjoyable day out at Boro.
  4. I've been meandering towards what I suppose is a 'natural boycott' for a while now. My home attendance gets less each season (haven't been once this season). I may go to the Wrexham game in fairness to catch up with a few lads. The latest call to protest hasn't altered my perspective at all really, but I dare say it will nudge a few others to my way of thinking. To put things in context, I was a ST holder for over 20 years (I'm a 44 year old bastard now), I still had one for a number of season under the Venky rats. Within that time I came to hate home games, it started as a chore, particularly night games, but came to a point where I was questioning why the fuck I was doing it. Life also progressed, the kids grew up, work got busier (sometimes work 7 days straight), priorities changed. Previously I've missed weddings, birthdays and other things to attend, ive nearly lost a job queing for Celtic away tickets and doing a sickie on the day of the game after being declined AL, now? Not a bloody chance. I've missed watching 1 game all season (last week), I was near Penrith miles from civilisation though, my hand was forced! I'm going on Boxing Day as it's tradition and looking forward to it if I'm honest. Had it been at home it would have been a reluctant trudge to the ground. Would my perspective change if our owners changed? 100% yes. I don't demand glory, I ain't a glory hunter, I've stood on a crumbling Blackburn End step, I've watched on the Riverside hill with my dad when times were hard. All i want is owners that care and a fan base pulling collectively in 1 direction. I would buy a season ticket no questions asked, even if I inevitably missed half the games through other commitments. Until then, I continue as is I guess. Will still fit a few more away games in this season, in the new year I won't attend Ewood again I don't think, barring a big cup tie against them twats up the road......
  5. I've been to Boro loads of times and we're unbeaten within that time, a number of occasions we've been in dreadful form leading up to the game too. We just have a very odd knack of coming away with at least a point there! I'm going to this one as well, can't miss a boxing day game no matter how apathetic I currently feel towards the club. Despite the record there this will be bloody tough, I think they've only lost to the league leaders at home thus season? We'll just have to hope the footballing gods are kind to us and we nick a 1-0 win, you'd definitely take a 1-1 though.
  6. Off up the lakes on Friday for the weekend, hopefully won't have a signal so I can't even keep tabs in the shite unfolding at Ewood. Hate early kick offs to start with but on a grim day in December, Millwall will also have a paltry following it'll look like the "boycott" is in full flow. Positives? Can't really think of any, weather looks OK/dryish up to now, suppose that's one.
  7. Well it should be a relatively decent atmosphere which the players have mentioned now multiple times helps them, so let's hope we nab a win. Our form is much better than theirs on paper although we're drawing too many, and that often leads to relegation worries. Ribeiro has looked very rusty lately, but he will do after bot being featured very often so hopefully he perks up a bit today. They've failed to score in 6 of their last 8 games now so it's obvious where their weakness lies, of course we do have a habit of helping teams out in such circumstances so don't rule put a 3 nil home win. In the interest of optimism 2-1 away win with a Gudjohnsen brace, we're capable of it but certainly need an improvement on Oxford....
  8. I tell you what put it in perspective for me..... National league Rochdale have started corrective work on their pitch due to issues, fair play to them. As a result they'll have to play a few games at Accy Stanley. League 2 Accy Stanley, who played 90 mins and extra time at weekend can accommodate their own games plus a few extra. Anyone fairly local will know Stanley had pitch issues for a while, I think they blamed run off from the coppice when it rained. League 2 Stanley FIXED their pitch issues and hey presto are now in a position where their pitch is MUCH better than ours. So there you have it, national league and league 2 clubs putting us to shame.
  9. Yeah its absolutely rancid out there, worse than Saturday was for sure.
  10. 2pm is probably the worst possible time to do an inspection if you want the game to be on, that's pretty much around when it's forecast to stop. I understand why that's the designated time, but I'd be very surprised if its on. Hours later it would probably be fine like....
  11. How far do you think Oxford is? 🤣
  12. Well its a bit of a coincidence it's 2 teams with good followings it's happened against, they'll probably bring half the amount to the rearranged one in a Tuesday night but yes it's surely extra money....
  13. There's probably a few kids in Sheffield getting a couple less Christmas presents because their dad pissed money away on a wasted trip to Blackburn. Genuinely feel for them. I know fans of various teams and they list Ewood as one of their top away days, I suspect opinions are fast changing.
  14. I expected a bit of a revival from the Owls following the Chansiri seats getting ripped out etc but it hasn’t materialised, yet Will the further points deduction up the eff you EFL mentality and spur them on? They really have nothing to lose and go into every game needing to at least try and win, which may slightly work in our favour rather than playing a team happy to sit back. Questionable subs and game management our biggest issue lately, not even going down the ref blaming road it’s pathetic, regardless of some shite decisions. Another 1-1 draw probably the most likely result although no use to either team, so we have to hope we can somehow fathom a 2-1 win.
  15. Can only hope the perhaps slightly unfair postponement gives us an added edge to correct the home form. Ipswich a bit erratic away from home, quite capable of a 4-1 pumping but also lost to Oxford as well. In theory it may work in our favour that they'll come and have a go and allow us to counter. 2-1 home win although literally nothing would surprise me.
  16. Regardless of backing, ambition or ‘upward momentum’ the point remains, it’s Wrexham we’re playing tomorrow. We’ve beat numerous teams within 1 point of them along with teams above them away from home this season. Like any game in this league it will be tough but it’s honestly no wonder the players look to escape this type of misery, which I’m pretty sure won’t be on show in Wales tomorrow.
  17. People on here seem to be creaming themselves over Wrexham in a similar way they were about Preston before that game too. Easiest win for Preston all season blah blah blah. I wouldn’t like to call it but they’ve not been battering teams or indeed scoring many goals. 6 goals in the last 5 games, 3 of which came against Coventry. Should be going into every game thinking we can get a result especially against bloody Wrexham. 2-1 away win, Hyam OG and Gudjohnsen.
  18. Said on the Preston thread post game Tronstad hobbled off with the physio at his side so I was expecting this news. 1 step forward, 4 back again, he’s a huge miss, just like Toth was and Wharton. Carter I don’t even factor in as he’s injured more than he’s available by some distance.
  19. Their away form is actually pretty good, only losing 1 of the last 5 in a narrow defeat to Derby. Hopefully we'll be a bit fresher with the extra days rest, they earnt it after running their socks off Friday night. Plenty of time to work on set pieces again in training too, it would be nice to make it a regular thing being so effective on them. Very tough one to call and 2-1 either way I reckon, let's just hope it's in our favour 😀
  20. I know and I’m not criticising either those that attend and create little atmosphere or indeed those who choose not to attend, but the point remains that it’s a pretty crappy place to play. Ultimately we all know the main reason of course, the wankers in Pune.
  21. You could tell in Millers post match interview he was hinting at the poor crowds and atmosphere contributing to the poor home form and it’s hard to disagree
  22. I was thinking last night why does Yuki get twatted so much, he's always in the wars. I would absolutely hate to play against him though, he doesn't give you a minutes peace all night it's relentless. Pretty sure he gets a stray elbow or a late challenge as a direct result! Morishita to a lesser extent was similar last night, I think being in the same team as Yuki is helping him adapt too, I don't think we've seen anything like the best of him just yet.
  23. Baradji looked on that evidence that he might be the man to come and pick the ball up and start an attack, which we really need especially without Cantwell (although VI alluded to him not being far off). I don't wish to be negative after the result and second half performance but we were pretty clueless first 30 just tapping it round sideways and backwards, the outlet was Alebiosu or nothing really. It fills you with no confidence doing that and there was a number of times we could have come unstuck. It's partly the reason the home form isn't great also.
  24. Don't wanna panic anyone but Tronstad looked to be limping off at the end of those celebration videos accompanied by the physio 🥲
  25. Did someone say we had a new set piece coach? 🥰 Danny Ventre earning his wage in that evidence, 2 beautiful set piece goals.
