  1. He was on the same shortlist as Hill, so yes it probably did come down to money....although Hill didn't turn out too bad, shame his stay was cut short.
  2. We tried for him last window, not sure why interest died off though.
  3. It wasn't through lack of effort that Grabbi flopped though. Ennis on the other hand turned up out of shape, and has never really got up to speed. Annoying as there probably is some ability there if he wasn't such a lazy shite. It's mad when you compare the levels of fitness on show from Szmodics every week compared to him.
  4. No. He seems fairly savvy sorting contracts out, but we're yet to see much in the way of getting players over the line, especially when other clubs are interested. Wahlstedt being the obvious exception on that front. I wonder if Adam is at Selhurst tonight watching on. That's not going to get finalised till tomorrow earliest now I presume, not much time left and past experience doesn't bode well....
  5. I agree, would be a good signing. Celtic allegedly interested in him too though, guessing he may end up there.
  6. I've just worked 7 days in a row so it's my weekend now, on that basis I'm going tomorrow 🍻
  7. Are you new to this circus? It's exactly the sort of thing we'd do under this regime. Wharton will be sold at 10:30pm on deadline day too and we'll shrug our shoulders saying it was too late to spend that money. Then it'll disappear by summer.
  8. Has anyone else heard the ticket office closes at 5pm Monday on police advice? Not seen it mentioned.....
  9. True but if you're given the option of someone who might be rubbish, or nobody at all, you kind of have to take a punt.
  10. Can't recall JB ever getting anything right with his 'exclusives' so I wouldn't hold your breath 🤷‍♂️
  11. I remember the new Hull owner being introduced to their fans before we played them the other season. They've been on an upwards trajectory ever since. Imagine, competent fucking owners.
  12. Been like that for a while, surprised they don't scrub it off when people are on the ground tours. Thinking about it, that must probably be where we're supposed to draw the tactics for defending a corner, no wonder we're so fucking awful at it 🤣
  13. Yeah quite surprising when most of our fan base got wound up by Mowbrays love for playing Benno 🤣
  14. Involved on the football side as backroom staff, not people in the public eye, don't be ridiculous I'm not going to start posting names of people on here 🤣
  15. There's still many fans who just come out with the "who would want to buy us?" line on repeat. These people have become brainwashed to think we NEED the twats in Pune. Even Southend recently managed to find a buyer, they're making signings and renewing contracts etc now.
  16. I don't think he speaks very highly of the club, so I doubt it
  17. Half of our backroom staff are actively looking for new jobs, it's no secret. That won't include Benson or Lowe though, they'll be getting paid top whack for doing relatively little. Which is probably partly why the rest are looking to leave.
  18. Qpr won 2-0 today, imagine that. 2 goals and a clean sheet. I'm sorry but if you think we're staying up you're very ambitious, I've not seen free fall like this in many, many years
  19. Why do people keep saying not this year? The defence is the worst in the league, we can't buy a win! What are people actually clinging to that makes them think we'll stay up? Grayed there is poor teams below us but they've beat us or took point off us!
  20. JDT is doing Bradley Johnson false 9 moves at the minute I'm afraid, he's basically given up. Get rid or we will go down, I'm absolutely certain of it.
  21. Yep, and I think that's hitting home for many at the moment. Perhaps the biggest frustration I have though is that any form of protest is a waste of time when the wankers have no interest in the fans, let alone actually attending Ewood.
  22. You're absolutely right, I've got multiple season ticket holders mates who are already saying no to next season as things stand. There comes a point where people say enough is enough, this is stupid, this is a waste of money, this provides absolutely zero enjoyment. That's pretty much where I'm at the moment too and I have to say, I never felt like this during the Kean era. There was always hope that things could get better eventually back then. Right now, I'm not so sure.....
  23. As much as we need Gallagher and JRC back playing, I really hope neither is being rushed back through sheer desperation. If Sam is playing how he's usually asked to play his fitness needs to be right up there. That said, it'll be interesting to see how having Pears, Gally and JRC back influences the performance/result. I think Adam Wharton needs dropping for Garrett today, we need a bit more bite and battling qualities in midfield, make no mistake this is a relegation clash. Wharton has been well off the boil this season, making mistakes that Morton got slated for last season. Another assist for him last night is see.... Conditions are going to make for an ugly game, but winning ugly is something we desperately need to do right now. Huddersfields last win was the pasting they gave us, that'll be fresh in their minds, they have QPR and Sheff Weds next up so will be keen for points in their next few.
  24. Beale is getting some right grief off Sunderland fans, wanting him gone already after what a month in charge? A narrow 1 nil loss to Hull, I mean its better than our current predicament getting pasted every week 🥲
