  1. I don't think Leo has played any under 21 games, Eastham and Hilton have played the few games this season. He's being judged on training and 2 games where he didn't have THAT much to do. Must be hard for a keeper to make a massive impact in training. Assuming he plays in the cup at Chelsea, you'd expect he's fairly busy that night. Frustrating for the fans but I think it'll be a waiting game on this one.....
  2. Whilst I'm not his biggest fan on the pitch, it's worth bearing in mind he's been through some really challenging times as a young lad, losing his best friend etc. We don't know the full picture but hopefully he is back smiling soon, whatever the issue may be.
  3. Nothing to fear really, Chelsea have been far from amazing this season so far and not sure how 'up for it' they'll be. Should be a decent following too as with West Ham last season 👍 At least 4 prem teams will exit the cup too which should be another incentive to get through to the quarters.....
  4. Something clearly wrong with Dolan. They felt the need to say he's not involved cos he's ill tonight, not sure I believe that. Is he pissed off because he's seen the stick he's getting on socials from the fans? Sulking about his contract issues? Either way I'm happy for him to stay away from the first team.
  5. He does it a lot, its a weird trait more accustomed to continental keepers. Its got no place in the championship and he's got away with it countless times before. You can't even blame the defence for not picking their player up, he could have punched it a metre either side and would have got away with again, but it's basically an assist.
  6. The thing is Gav, there would be absolute outrage amongst our fans if he got benched. He needs a bit of time out if you ask me, maybe give Buckley a run out. Oh 😕
  7. I'm not saying Wharton is a bad player, just that he shouldn't escape criticism, which he is for the most part. He used to skip round challenges and be calm on the ball, never giving it away. Lately he will cost us more goals than he will assist.
  8. I can live with that, I'd rather not be on Sky. Preston have already been promoted apparently so they won't bother showing their games.
  9. When you have no confidence in the goalkeeper behind you, it's an issue and will affect performance. JDT sounds like he rates Hill, suspect he will play before Wharton if he does ok in the cup.
  10. I'm surprised sky aren't tapping us up to get more games on, yet. Our games must be fantastic for a neutral this season! So tough to take the result after the second half fight back, I've seen many Ipswich fans saying we're the best team they played, recurring theme ain't it? I must admit the first half was absolutely terrible though. We need Wahlstedt to play decent against Cardiff so he gets the nod against Leicester don't we? Pears made some good saves yesterday but it's just not enough, if you want to punch so much take up boxing lad (probably do better than Joyce last night). Also, Adam Wharton is getting off very very lightly for me. Granted he's a young un but he's making the mistakes week in, week out that Morton got grief for last season. Let's see what tronstad offers in the cup.....
  11. I wonder how many stewards he's actually got on for the game? Can't imagine it would be too difficult if someone wanted to get in the Blackburn end with a Waggott Out banner. Away from this place I never used to see his name getting mentioned much, its definitely being banded about more and more though on various socials. I honestly don't know how you people who've met with him can calmly sit in the same room, breathing the same air.
  12. He had 3 or 4 players behind him at that point, including his goalkeeper who should 100% be letting him know that Clarke IS there!
  13. You can't really fault Ipswich's record in competitive football matches, 1 narrow defeat to Leeds in around 30 games?! Very, very hard to see us getting anything here I'm afraid - unless of course everything clicks into place and we convert a few early chances. I mean its surely going to happen sooner or later right? I think its time for Leo to start in goal but I still expect JDT to ask him to prove his worth vs Cardiff in the cup first. Hopefully Siggy gets the last 30 mins, but again he might need to put a shift in Vs Cardiff first. I'm gonna go for a perhaps slightly ambitions 1-1 draw. Early goal for Moran cancelled out with a late, late Hirst equaliser......
  14. The plan as I see it, is to fly out the traps like mad men, get a few goals then reduce the tempo. However. When the goals don't come we have an issue! Obviously can't maintain that tempo for 90 minutes, I don't believe we ever plan to though. JDT and the team need to learn how to adapt and adjust the game plan if the goals don't come in the first 30. When we lost games early last season we were dreadful, utterly dreadful. So much so I wasn't sure JDT was the one. In the games we've lost this season I don't think we've even been that bad at all for the most part. Also believe we'll give someone an absolute pumping in a game when we're a little more fortunate in front of goal.
  15. Great coverage from the club on last nights game....not seen a thing since the lineup. Appreciate we had a first team game but surely we had someone covering it FFS. Looks like Sigurdsson played 75 minutes so hopefully not too far from 1st team involvement.
  16. Not ideal having your 2 midfielders in yellows is it. Wharton needs hooking for JRC I think. Possibly even Trav for Garrett too. Mowbray will have them diving all over the place looking for a red now
  17. Yeah, fair point. He did utter his famous "let's see" words too 🙄
  18. No but Mowbray was alluding to him at least making the bench if you listen to his comments earlier in the week.
  19. Sigurdsson, Tronstad and Gilsenan all starting tonight 👍
  20. I'm amazed people still trust the Met office to get the weather bang on.......
  21. He was as good as gone if Slot had left Feyenoord by all accounts. Judging by how they're playing at the moment (17 goals scored in their last 3 in the league!) - I imagine he'll be getting more attention soon. He swerved Spurs but more lucrative jobs will arrive I bet......
  22. He really is becoming a crock Gallagher, 28 years old and injured every other week. Doesn't bode well for the later stages of his career.
  23. We don't ship goals for fun at home tbh, Preston aside last season but the less said about that one the better.
