  1. No I know, it would never happen anyway I’d just love to see the reaction. A good manager can overcome laziness and bad attitudes as well, done it countless times in my own managerial career šŸ˜‰
  2. I agree, people are getting carried away. They're still favourites with the bookies by some distance, for a reason. A few weeks ago they thought they just needed to turn up to win though, it's nice for them to be feeling the pressure a bit more. The owners of both clubs can also influence the general mood in the final 2 days of the transfer window as well. Ours have previous for completely fucking things up as we know, another disaster would make us very despondent on Saturday. Likewise if Pace keeps flogging everyone they're the same, although I do expect them to make a few decent signings....
  3. As there seems to be complete and utter turmoil down the road, could we not put together a ridiculous loan offer for Manuel Benson? They seem to be accepting all offers at present and have confirmed he will leave in some way, shape or form šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø I know it's not gonna happen but it would send them into THE biggest meltdown known to man and you'd have to fear for the safety of Pace's wife 🤣
  4. It's basic merchandising. I've worked in supply chain for many years and if the stock isn't available during peak trade periods serious questions are asked, ultimately heads roll. Merchandising clothing is pretty easy too, we have 2 main sales windows to capture as many as possible- A- when it first goes on sale before the season/before folk go on holiday. B- as Matty mentions, the festive period for gifting. If we have some left over so what? They'd easily sell at a discount which is better than having lost sales. All the kids at my daughters football training wear replica tops to train in, if we're getting rid of old stock at a tenner a pop I'd buy multiple.
  5. Nixons wording says we're prepared to buy him, but have offered a loan deal as well. Then goes on to mention him being on a decent salary which as always would be a problem for us. I can see other teams waiting in the wings for when we fail to sign him.
  6. Looked to just be baby sizes available when I was in there yesterday. Annoying as wanted one for my daughter who's 4, neither away or 3rd had any stock in infant sizes. I think November is the next drop of stock, by which time people aren't really wearing short sleeves.....
  7. Nathan 🦜 Jones reckoning talks between Park and Cantwell are at an advanced stage. So I can only assume Nixon has tweeted words to that effect......
  8. A poll on what?
  9. Can only hope a few of those players had half an eye on Saturday, because they certainly didn't seem with it tonight. Disappointed to lose but some over reactions on here, as always.
  10. The fact they included Owen and Beckham give it away a bit..
  11. Can anyone confirm tickets are available to collect now? Just dawned on me I need to do so at some point....
  12. Not sure his age is the sticking point. Conor Bradley and Quansah are only 21, as is Harvey Elliott, Gravenberch 22. They'll play them if they're good enough.....
  13. Ah fair enough I've only just woke up so thought it was Nixon only story. Not overly against it, back up players being loans makes sense for us, not so much for the clubs loaning them out though....
  14. The Beck story may well just be a speculative punt from Nixon tbh. We've got a track record of loaning youngsters from Liverpool and seem to do so pretty much every window, LB is a position we're looking to strengthen, so it would add up. Personally I liked Chrisene last season, but he wasn't being considered ahead of Pickering either so I don't think his first team place is under threat. He does always pick up knocks though.
  15. Travers would be a superb signing, the fella he's trying to oust, Neto, was superb at times today
  16. Asking and getting are 2 different things though. I could ask Kelly Brook nicely for a handjob, doesn't mean I'd get it.
  17. The Ruddy obsession means he's obviously after an experienced keeper, which I understand but theres surely better options, also makes Rushworth unlikely....
  18. They'll get nothing like that for him, again though, not what we need regardless
  19. Because he literally signed a new contract last year?
  20. 3.5m? No way Wigan can demand that sort of fee if the player expresses an interest in leaving. Not really what we need anyway....
  21. Dear oh dear they seem to be in absolute meltdown the twats down the road it's brilliant 🤣 Seeing comments about a fire sale, Pace out, no chance of promotion etc etc after the team they fielded yesterday and the result. I must admit I was fearing the worst but the last week has massively changed things. I'd still take a draw like šŸ‘
  22. Probably an unpopular opinion but I thought Pears played quite well yesterday 🤷 Certainly the save at 0-0 was excellent. We gave them far more chances than I would have liked but Eustace openly admits that's how it will be with the way he wants us to play. I'd definitely be starting Gueye next week to cause some havoc, I think he'll absolutely thrive on the cauldron of hate he's a huge personality you can already tell, he's off his tits.
  23. Carter is vital and it's worrying when he picks up injuries as we're left with 2 experienced yet sluggish centre halves. Could probably cope today without him but next week would be a nightmare.
  24. Really? Expected double that for a newly promoted team
