  1. Yeah you could tell on his face he knew he'd dropped a bollock. Very poor game and they should be behind.
  2. Starting here for Espanyol if anyone cares its on premier sports 2, 8 mins in. Gonna give it a watch.
  3. To an extent I do agree, but, he can’t keep turning to ageing players, the likes of Batth and Weimann and expect the same output every season. Neither have had good reviews and they don’t rate Sanderson at all, he’s had horror reviews. Beck I really liked but he’s often injured, Liverpool know this, he is unlikely to make it there as a result. Their best signings IMO haven’t been the ones from us, Morris is a good un and BBD will do well I think, their main injured signing seems a bizarre odd risk.
  4. There’s more to it than a bit of routine maintenance I believe. I think there’s some legal/fire safety related work required with regards to the stands. I can’t quite remember the deadline we have to complete the work but it’s expensive, well over a million to complete it. I’ll ask my contact for more detail when I see him but it’s not optional work I know that.
  5. Fully agree on this, personally couldn’t give a shiny shite about Derby. A lad in one of the group chats I am in said it was a dilemma the other night on whether he wanted Burnley or Derby to lose I mean wtf? Burnley to lose every game they play at every level regardless of opponent, it’s that simple. Eustace has been well backed for what it’s worth, he really needs to achieve now or he will come under pressure. I do however believe a fair few of the players signed are average, I’d much prefer their current attacking options to ours though unless Gudjohnsen ends up like his old man.
  6. Yep I called it not long ago 🤣
  7. They'll have to hurry through a Gudjohnsen unveiling video today, maybe a few hilarious Rudy shops at Iceland type gags to appease the fans 😕
  8. In fairness, how many new signings, across all the leagues have set the world on fire a few games in? Ekitike has done well, Grealish I guess, probably forgot a few but overall not many yet.....
  9. Smit came on and has done absolutely fuck all. What an enjoyable watch though, great atmosphere and GAE pushing for the equaliser which they've just bagged
  10. Smit is on the bench for GAE here, might flick it on second half if he comes in as this Leeds game is shite. Although it suggests nothing is happening as we'd never get him flown over on easyjet and signed now
  11. Gueye has gone worse. I honestly think VI might have told him to stop dicking about as much and he's subsequently suffered as a result as he appears to have dipped in confidence. He's never been amazing but at the minute looks a complete lost cause.
  12. I've been in the same boat for a while now. We'll never turn our backs on football but it's not the beautiful game it was, in my eyes anyway. I hate the prem I really do, but ultimately that's what we all need to strive for in this league. On today's game,I think the finish by Sergeant just summed it up. Great strike and one our attackers look unlikely to be able to execute! Showed some spirit in that second half but poor finishes, poor passes and poor officiating all contributed to 0 points. Ryo looks decent but I do worry he will have nobody to cross to like when he skipped past his man. A decent striker transforms this team, Norwich were no better but ultimately go home with 3 points....
  13. Jordan Rhodes at Ewood today...... Said he'd be around a lot more this season soon (can only presume there's a coaching role being offered?)
  14. 100% true, I don't post things on here unless I'm sure on the credibility, like I say though if people wish to doubt things it's no skin off my nose. This part is purely opinion but I firmly believe Pasha has seen the pressure mount and he's been asked, "do tell me Suhail, can you detail a bit more about what you actually do at the club?". He has panicked and now wants to be seen to be making decisions and influencing things. This will go 1 of 2 ways, he'll make some ridiculous decisions that will impact us in a negative manner (most likely) OR he might sanction a move for an 8m pound striker!
  15. If you don't wish to believe it I'm absolutely fine with it, got as far as sorting his 'exit message' apparently.
  16. Leonard was all set to go, its Pasha that's pulled the plug, wants more 💰
  17. I follow it a bit purely for betting purposes (fantastic for over 2.5 goals bets). It's pretty much similar to premier league 2 level where the reserves play, so yes a significant difference in quality to the top flight. A number of teams reserves actually play in it.
  18. That's the stupid thing about it, added to the fact he's now put one of their best players out of position making him far less effective (Bruno) to accommodate them. No way he lasts till Christmas, he'll be extremely lucky to see Halloween in fact, unless they apply Chaddy logic and lie in their bed 🤣 Not ideal timing to be playing the twats up the road like, they'll fancy a draw at least against United now 😕
  19. The Browne link just seems like Nixon being mischievous. He's not as daft as he looks, he knows that would wind Preston fans up so he's thrown the grenade and ran. It gets people talking, it makes him relevant.....
  20. I think the question we asked many times was "why is David Lowe still here?" So it makes a change someone asking where he is now. New managers in any organisation or team quite often suss out who the hangers on are pretty quickly, people who've been there years doing very little and usually on a decent wedge too. Seen it myself many times!
  21. I've heard bits that have originated from her previously (indirectly, I've never spoke to her in my life). Definitely nothing to do with that BRFC privy account no.
  22. Pretty sure the source of a lot of our transfer leaks has now left the club (the one who's so glad to 'get out') discussed on this thread, hence our recent signings have been kept under wraps a lot more.....
  23. The downgrade argument is a bit ridiculous at this stage. Need at least 10 games to even entertain making that call. Of course the players brought in MIGHT turn out to be, but people are talking with absolute certainty about players they either haven't seen play or have seen a couple of times. Mcloughlin a slight exception but he's done pretty well up to now (better than the bloke he replaced at Derby). I'll admit I'm concerned about DeNeve but can't completely write him off, yet. Miller/Alebiosu have the biggest boots to fill as Brittain set a very high bar. Travis, time will tell on that one. Didn't want him to leave but there wasn't a huge queue waiting to sign him. Pretty much universally liked by our fans due to his length of service and work ethic. The thing we will miss most though is his shit housery, not sure any of the new signings bring that? Dolan divides opinion. Again would have liked him to stay but nobody can argue he was remarkably inconsistent and he doesn't leave a 20 goal void that can't potentially be filled. Weimann, happy for him to move on. He did a job but was creaking and will spend a fair chunk of this season sidelined, already getting stick from Derby fans. Batth as it stands you would label McLoughlin a slight upgrade but it's very early days. Buckley and JRC, sorry but neither will be missed. I wouldn't describe the window as exciting, but I'd rather have unknown gambles than guarantees plodders like Woodrow!
  24. Needs doing this week if it's a goer, with the window closing 7pm on Monday or I wouldn't have confidence in them getting it done on time. Hang on, I wonder if they realise it closes at 7 🥲 if one of the club plants is reading this, remind/inform the powers that be please....
  25. Christ we're certainly signing some characters 🤣 He makes Miller look shy on that, certainly nothing like the reserved Yuki is he....what a likeable chap he seems though. Gonna be a bit lively in the dressing room this season.
