  1. I think people underestimate how important Danny Graham has been for us. Our poty last season. Shirt is his to lose. Make Gally fight for it. I'd be disappointed if he were on the bench all season but he needs to earn the shirt and the respect of his team mates. £££ signs dont do that. Same for adarabioyo. Shouldn't just walk in.

  2. Anyone still saying they feel comfortable should have a look at the Sheffield United deadline day transcript posted a few pages back. Leave it that late and everything can easily become out of our hands. Its not good it has been left this late. I'm sure its not for the want of trying. And personally I don't blame Mowbray. I think we are lacking another member of staff who's job it is to help get these deals over the line

  3. I always feel like there is a distinct correlation between wages and our starting line up. Hence some of Mowbrays favourites rarely being dropped. Not only is it good to tie Trav down but hopefully this indicates Mowbray, like the fans see him as central to our future success

  4. He'll go at some point I'm sure. But I get the impression Dacky quite likes it here. I can't see him kicking up a mega fuss. He gets criticized, by myself included about his celeb lifestyle and his mrs. But shes moved up here with him. Unlike someone like Harrison Reed who always had the pressure on him to get back south. I think he's pretty settled.

I’m by no means saying it’s running like clockwork, in fact I have probably been one of mowbrays biggest critics. As mentioned previously though it’s striking when certain players become available rather than prioritising. I’m with you that a gk and defender should be higher priority. Been told that gk and defender deal may be frees with high wages, clubs willing to release rather than pay wages

Joe Hart as the goalie then?

Hopefully the lack of competition means that we can get them down to a more reasonable fee. Looks like the consensus on here is that he'd be a useful enough addition, just that you can do more with £5million

5 is what has been reported in the press. But Wigan fans were shocked they were even sniffing around a player at that price. I've a funny feeling it's going to be a fair bit less than that, going up to 5 should he perform well. Score enough goals, make enough appearances, promotion etc. At which point he would have definitely been worth the money. I just don't think Wigan would have been looking if it was 5 million guaranteed

  7. Put Raya in a team with proper commanding centre backs and his flaws will be nowhere near as obvious. Won't be perfect but we are clearly looking at what isn't a priority position. It's all about the big ugly centre half. And if Mowbray doesn't see that as his latest comments suggest he has taken us as far as he ever will.

  8. Every player should be trying to impress in pre-season to start that first game. Nobody should be guaranteed a place. If Mulgrew looked the biz in the build up to game 1 I'd have no problem him starting.

Issue is it doesn't seem as though it is a level playing field. If hypothetically Bauer was with us and looked a real deal I'm not sure he'd be given that same opportunity from the off.

Nobody should be guaranteed a starting place but players should be picked on form.

I've not really seen him play so no idea if he's any good. The problem though now is that PKE are now seen as a  bigger draw than us for prospective signings. I'd be surprised if they pay bigger wages, they certainly don't spend bigger on transfers. So what have they got that we haven't? My guess would be an inspiring, positive manager and not Lance Corporal Jones.

My guess would be nobody has been home for Rovers. Everyone is on their hols. Doesn't exactly inspire confidence in a player that they really are wanted when one club could be knocking on the door and the other is saying wait a few weeks until we are back from sangrias on the beach.

I'm not levelling this at Mowbray. We knew what league we were in this year a long time ago. Yet with flying out to India then a well earned break and not a huge backroom team we are always going to be playing catch up

Anyone follow Bradley's Mrs on Instagram? Seems as though they are on pretty much their 4th holiday since the season ended. With plenty of uploads of them drinking, clubbing etc. In stark contrast to other rovers players uploading themselves in personal training sessions.
