  1. Well I am sure the arrival of Rivaldo will get a few more arses on seats at the Reebok....whether he actually performs well is another thing. I wonder where Jay Jay will head if the two of them can't be kept on together.
  2. Most of ITV's pundits are lame anyway.....I mean Robbie Earle?!? Yes he has a wide array of European experience to help support his views... Then again most of us know the right thing for Blackburn and the nearest thing we get to management is ChampMan... Big Ron is a bit of a ######. I mean the way he thinks Christiano Ronaldo doing a few step-overs makes him special is beyond me...
  3. Basically we need players who love Blackburn and would sweat blood for Rovers survival. Hell if that takes some youth player than so be it.. I'm a bit fed-up of going over and over these same reasons (Souness, tactics, Duff, Dunn, Berg, no left-mid) etc. Sure Souness is the main man and should be motivating and tactically getting it right... but the players on the pitch have a right to give 110% for the club and that isn't happening (apart from exceptions).
  4. With all the trouble and despair in the world lately should we really be this bothered. Some positives: * We aren't in the relegation zone * Very tight down there so even if we did slump, there's still a chance to survive. * Hopefully some of the teams below will get worse results. Yes I know we have lost vital games and also the teams below and fighting hard compared to us... but its not over till its over.
  5. Best questions for GS to ask himself this term..
  6. Yeah he's a got page on the official site talking about today. However I can't seem to copy and paste it so go yourself! He just mentions how we got well and truly hammered and the players have to stand up like men and be counted for...
  7. I would love to see Mark Hughes take over Rovers. He is simply grit and hard-work personified. However, I really don't think sacking Souness now is the right time.. There is always a chance Parkes could lead us out of trouble but then there is the chance that it could have the negative effect, the same for keeping Souness. It's about time we gave 110% and sweat blood for the Blackburn cause, I say bring Amo into the first-team, he is full of determination and can't defend any worse as our lads did today..
  8. I totally agree with that long quoted post by rover6 and I do agree with him on many elements. However, I feel Barry Ferguson is better than Carrick and Michael Brown.
  9. I wouldn't think sacking him now would do much good. It would just make the players think of other things than actually focus on the relegation threat. However, his man-management and tactical decisions (No Duff-replacement, Douglas on left wing, crazy substitutions) it doesn't bode well for us. All I hope is that Souey can get us clear of relegation, rebuild the team over the summer and never EVER repeat his mistakes. As much as the Portsmouth result (and the season of a whole) has really hurt me, I believe we will avoid relegation. We've proved we can get results (Villa 2-0). I don't want to see Souness go but it will have to happen if the appauling results and performances keep coming. Pity you can't sack players too...
  10. Our problems all stem from the transfer market. Emerton was Gillespie's replacement and although Emerton hasn't been on-fire so to speak, he has shown us glimpses of his good assissting. Plus even with one leg he is a better player than Keith.. Amo is a good defender. Carried an injury but yet to see whether he can adjust to the Prem yet when not carrying an injury. Reid is extremely versatile and committed but no where near a replacement for Duff. But our poor season has also seen the likes of Gallagher, Douglas and younger players being blossomed into the side and given a chance. With Gally taking his.. To improve the team we need: * A decent centre-back with pace. (I would of said Van Buyten) *A raiding, attacking, young left-sided midfielder. *A good, confident, reasonably aged striker (Stead isn't enough)
  11. Did someone really say Souey has 'given-up?' Sorry but Graeme isn't the type of man to give-up. If we were 20th and 15points behind the 17th placed team then yes I kind of wouldn't blame him that much... But Souness is a fighter but he is just frustrated... I mean just as Barry Ferguson was settling in he gets a major injury...also Reid, Thommo & Amo all out injured and a lot of players not fufilling their potential.. Wouldn't that frustrate you? Or make you seem a little down? Souey's signings haven't been bad this season. But I think we didn't replace Duff at all and we also didn't sign a good striker. My only faults I find with Souness are: 1. His faith in Yorke & Cole partnership. 2. The times he played certain players out of position *cough* Thommo *cough*
