  1. No Darren Peacock on the option list? For shame...
  2. I think this will be a good signing, I told my Pompey-supporting mate about Youri joining us and his response was a chuckle, saying about his age. But to be honest, last season he was great for Bolton and only a year younger, we need a vital creative presence in midfield and I think Youri is a good option and despite his age will be a good signing.
  3. To be honest I would very worried if Souness came in for him. Tugay & Flitcroft have seen their best days and Thommo is struggling to get started with his injuries so Ferguson is vital to the side. Like someone mentioned, he's just come back from a bad injury, I know Fergie is a good talent and will prove it to us, lets just give him a bit more time, considering the injury he had and all.
  4. Rovers 2 Villa 1 Team (mine) Friedel Neill Amoruso Matteo (sigh) Gray Emerton Ferguson Pedersen Djorkaeff Dickov Gallagher
  5. Must. Reserve. Anger. For. Anti-Amo. People. Amoruso does give us fight, leadership and spark at the back, we need a defender who can bring it out of defence and not just ones who lump it upfield everytime they get it.
  6. Because... Short is injured. Nissa is failing to shine when given the chance. Todd is still in limbo... And don't even get me started on Matteo.
  7. Charlton 1 Blackburn 1 The players will be buzzing, holding their heads high after matching mighty Bournemouth for 90+mins... My team would be: Friedel Neill Amoruso McEveley Gray Emerton Ferguson Tugay Pedersen Gallagher Dickov
  8. With an on-form confident striker options in Jansen, Stead, Dickov, Gallagher & Bothroyd, we have good options and variety. Pffft and here Schmeichel was saying on MOTD that our main position we need reinforcements is up-front.
  9. He meant attacking football minded, not actually offensive behaviour
  10. Gamst Pedersen was replaced by Matt Jansen and the switch reaped dividends as the striker netted the winner over Pompey. The Norwegian was pleased for his team-mate and does not believe his place is in jeopardy under new boss Mark Hughes. "That goal was just fun," said Gamst Pedersen. "Jansen got enormous support when he came on, and the roof was almost lifted off after the goal. "Everyone thought he deserved this after the accident and all what he has been through since then. "At the same time Jansen is a striker, I'm a winger." Gamst Pedersen believes he will get more opportunities to shine under new boss Hughes. "I feel that Hughes seems more offensive in his mind than Souness was, I appreciate that," he added. "Also, he seems like a calmer type."
  11. So are some of you saying if the likes of Lee Bowyer, Alan Smith or Jon Woodgate joined u wouldn't be against it? I'm sorry but an opinion and view on your own player goes past just their football ability, it is the image and persona they have. And Matteo is just scum.
  12. 3-1 I wonder how many first-team players will be rested for this game. I would like to see Jansen and Bothroyd up-front together just to see if they can continue their impressive performances, also maybe a chance to see what Ciaran Donnelly can do?
  13. If Yakubu had his finishing boots on it would of been 1-1 'cos of Matteo.
  14. So MGP playing well in the Norwegian league and a few good friendlies stands him in good stead to be able to perform in the Prem? Yet Amoruso who won title-after-title for Rangers and performed very well in Scotland was ruled out straight away?
  15. I have no national obligation to support a bunch of overpaid prima-dona, thugs play football.
  16. I have never really taken personal swipes at members here but I always just give my opinions on things without wanting arguments or personal insults. So far I've been slammed for: *Not liking Matteo as a player, despite the fact a lot of you diss players a lot undeserving of it than him. *Not supporting the England football team.
  17. It really is pathetic to 'despise' a player with no genuine justification but on a whim. Matteo hasn't excelled for us - but he has been played out of position by Souness. He's was a hero at Leeds, and there must be a reason for that. This coming from the person who had a signature at the official site saying 'Amo out! Amo out! Negative? Absolutely!' after a few games into last season. I actually remember a Leeds game (can't remember too much of it since my attention doesn't exactly focus on Leeds that much) but the pundit on TalkSport was basically saying how he couldn't believe how a professional like Matteo could act in such a way. But that isn't just my justification in disliking Matteo.
  18. 1. Never really liked the way he plays or his attitude. 2. My surname and nickname is 'Drake'
  19. Dominic Matteo who I dispise and do not appreciate at all If you can't handle an opinion don't go to a message board.
  20. I wholeheartedly agree. People seem to just see Amo as this old, pasta-chewing carthouse but he is the only centre-back we have who can bring the ball out and have ideas, plus our own Bobby Carlos at free-kicks!
  21. Haha what a great result! Just got back from work and was delighted to see Rovers have beaten my hometown I am surprised we kept a clean sheet, and delighted obviously, because I really thought Yakubu, Fuller & Lua Lua would rip us to shreds with their pace. Good to see Matt back with a goal, I don't think I am the only one who thought his days were numbered, here's hoping that this will revive his Rovers career. The only downside is probably Matteo getting ahead of Amoruso...for shame.....but I suppose we won at the end of the day so I won't complain.. Also, what is up with MGP? Think its just an adapting problem? Didn't he show any good signs?
  22. Daniel Gabbidon please. You gotta be kidding, he's absolute garbage ill go as far as saying he is more dodgier than Ammo. Amo rox! 'ROX' I tell you! It's Matteo who deserves to be ousted.
  23. Saw Ronnie Johnsen in an interview on SSN and was shocked to see him not even speaking English. Bloody Hell, he's been here long enough to learn our language A crap signing (I hope and assume) for the Magpies but I would of preferred Souey of signed Johnsen for us instead of Dominic Matteo.... Actually maybe even gave an old bum off the street a squad number and centre-back position instead of 'Dom'.
