My tip is Dont buy him in the first place, my rule is if a player who i can sign but dosent automatically recieve apermit is anything above backup then dont sign him, if he is young and cheap sign him up and loan him out. dont sign a player for the amount you mentioned without a permit. I signed Esequal garay ( top 5 CB 2009 onwards) for Rovers and didnt play a game for me until his contact was about to expire.

A hint on Srna sign Bale , Baines, Taylor ( Wigan ) before you sign expensive foreigners who cant get a permit, all can be brourght for the same or less and are British

I would never sell MGP and I have no idea how you got 2 million for Jeffers and Roberts.

MGP is absoulute pap no pace, no dribbling,dosent score sell him and bring in some quality, you can get silva from valencia for 5-6 million

you can easily get 2mill for jeffers either pompey or west brom

roberts normaly goes for 1.5- 2 mill at the start of the 1st sesaon if you offer hm out

I suppose thats the nub of it, Newcastle clearly have great players but have had a succession of mediocre managers. If a new manager of quality came in (please not Hughes) then you would have to admit that newcatle have far more of a capability to challenge for the title over the next three or four years than we, or any similarly financially weak club, have.

To put it in context we would take Martins, Owen, Parker, Emre, Duff, Solano, Milner and Given off them, no hassle. I doubt Newcastle would particularly covet any of our players bar Nelsen, McCarthy and Neill. All of which goes to show the outstanding quality of Hughes (or paucity of Roeder) as a manager.

Id take Martins, Owen, Parker, Emre milner, but thats it duff is finished at that level ( a mixture of ego, the chelsea effect and injury's ), id take the whole of rovers rovers back 5, reid,bentley maybe mgp and benni over anything they have got

I think the reason why people hate Newcastle ( myself included ) is primarily the whole club and its followers are the most deluded in Europe . They believe themselves to be big the 2cnd biggest club in England and feel they can have any player they wish. They have big crowds but they should have big crowds been the only pro club within a 500,000 catchments area. But that is only plus point about there club the rest is all negative , for an area the size of Newcastle/Gateshead how many quality home grown players have graced st James park in the last decade .

You all talk about Newcastle been able to offer lucas a better financial package a seriously doubt that as they are already in over 80 million of debt the only reason they spend is to keep there fans happy ( as we all know how quickly they turn on there own team )
