I agree totally with your point, but as far as I remember he didn't score while on loan did he? Wasn't ManU, after securing a permanent deal, his first goals for us? Arrest me if I'm wrong though

Our last season in the old div 1 (00/01) was actually the season I got to watch most live Rovers games at pubs here in Norway. Think it was way over 20 matches being shown that year. That's never happened when we've been playing in the PL.

As have been said, Sherwood had number 4, and if I remember correctly Batty had 23, while Kevin had number 8 all the time Sherwood and Batty were at the club, until he left and Dunn had it. I find it scary that I remember the squad number from the 90s better than recent years
