  1. Rovers played a young trialist in their first game in Austria during their pre-season tour 2 years ago, who also scored. His identity was never officially revealed, because he he was not cleared to play under the International clearance laws. No doubt this is a similar case
  2. OK, to get the topic started, I would welcome anybody who may have the following Rovers HOMES to either exchange or sell. 1955/56 Swansea Town 25/11/55 Nottingham Forest 2/1/56 NottsCounty 3/3/56 Hull City 30/3/56 Middlesbrough 14/4/56 Rotherham United 30/4/56 1956/57 Rotherham United 29/12/56 Nottingham Forest 1/1/57 Airdrionians 9/4/57 (Friendly) Notts County 19/4/57
  3. Come on John. You should have seen enough football to realise that Terry was motionless and looking away from the keeper whilst the keeper was scrambling about trying to shove him out of the way to get to the ball (which by the way he had no chance of reaching before Sol C). Yes. I have seen enough football to understand exactly why the referee gave a free kick and not a goal. The contact by the flailing arm of Terry against the keeper was enough for the referee. You may well argue that goalkeepers get too much protection but any infringement against the keeper in his own 6 yard box, usually warrants a free kick against the opposition. It was disappointing, but a foul is a foul
  4. Maybe BlueBoy could write his own article for everyone to read on the messageboard. Then maybe he would find that it is not as easy as it seems to be a regular columnist. Trying to write objectively about BRFC is far from easy and obviously Simon or now Jason cannot please everybody in their own individual style of writing. I personally shared Jason's viewpoint regarding Lucas Neill in last weeks offering. As Lower Darwen Rover, he will no doubt elaborate if necessary on his forthcoming articles in the LET for the members of this board
  5. You're not Graeme Souness in disguise are you?
  6. I fully back up the comment made by Paul regarding Tom Finn. I had a problem regarding tickets allocated at the Worthington Cup Final. I wrote to Tom Finn and after he had taken the trouble to telephone me, he arranged for my tickets to be exchanged. As has been stated many times on this messageboard, the Club will always try and accomodate a genuine request if they are approached in a calm and reasonable manner. Whether people agree or disagree with the actual allocation of Celtic tickets, all the information was quite clearly detailed around the ground before the Newcastle game and everybody knew quite clearly the options of either trying to queue for hours or trying their luck on the telephone
