Rev, you have based your opinion on one stat from 18 months ago.
There is plenty of footage of him over the years including his spell at Portsmouth.
I've seem many a trailer for films that look great but are utter shite when I see the whole thing.

Scouts frequently attend games. Doesn’t mean they’re scouting anyone in particular.
Surely they could have many other PL games to go to for entertainment unless they pissed someone in the hierarchy off.

We haven't replaced Armstrong yet.
You trust Waggott/ Broughton to replace BBD in 5 days?
We'll have cold fusion before we have a remotely like for like replacment.

Fat Sam was always happy to roll over for the big boys as long as he picked him his 50 points a season. Didn't give a fuck about the fans forking out their hard earned - he wrote games off when the fixture list came out.
Think I'd take those 50 at the moment.

Maybe he was a crook? Would only work with an agent that feathered his nest, gave him kick backs on every deal, reduced the player pool, robbed fans of seeing better players?
The ironic thing is Venkys then adopted the same policy and the rest is history......
Maybe but I'd still rather be 10th in the Premiership than in the bottom of the Championship. You are quite correct about Venkys (I have never been a fan, bought the Banned By BRFCS shirt instead of the Pune Army one) and perhaps they were worried that they wouldnt be able to pocket as much. Thieves are always suspicious that others are stealing from them - this is not directed toward you.
Coincidently Sams first game, and victory 3-0, was against Stoke.

Or losing to a team managed by nobody like today.
I said a long time ago that the Venks sacked Sam purely because he wouldnt be a yes man and still feel the same. I cant recall a manager since that really challenges my opinion.

You didn’t got to Old Trafford a few weeks before he was sacked then?
Nope I was in the desert. I do remeber him steadying a sinking ship previously helmed by Paul Ince who just beat the Hell out of us. I would also argue that we have been in a downward spiral since his sacking (which coincides with our takeover) which at the time was explained, by our owners, that it was due to bad transfers. If we can judge his tenure on one game against Man U, I would argue that losing to a team managed by Paul Ince is far worse.
Didnt Man U win the title that season?

He was giving the bench every physical signal that he was knackered wanted to come off, but they had no one to bring on for him.
Great that we're selling him... Know that it's necessary so he doesnt go for free but Lord, what are we going to do? Find it hard to think we'll get someone in quickly enough. Wars have been won in the time we get transfers in.

No, nay , never.
I got the feeling that teams would rather not play us when Sam was in charge, get the feeling they look forward to it at the moment. You have to make yourself hard to beat before you should anything else. Sams football could be ugly but it was tough and ugly.

There can be no question that this squad minus Brereton and with Ayala injured are nailed on for relegation.
The anticipated new signings need to be better than our current players and slot straight into the team. I don't believe that will happen.
The players need to talk some sense into JDT.
Big Sam tactics time.

Not true, most people have watched too many war films were they get up and fight back, 7.62mm is massively unforgiving and really spoils your day
Very aware but I can't believe for a minute that people actually believe that. Regardless you know it's going to hurt bad or kill you, still cant stop it.

And when we started the season I am sure JDT said they studied their opponents all week and so knew what to expect on the pitch come Saturday... today's stats so dar suggest a rather more uncomfortable reality perhaps!
You know what to expect if you get hit by a rifle round but you cant stop it coming when fired at you.

You could read it in lots of ways, but he is a manager who is on record about promoting youth players - so doubt he will want a bloated squad.

Agreed. The 2 league defeats showed up our lack of strength and bite in midfield. We were comprehensively outbattled. Desperately need another "enforcer" type who can play a bit. The money we wasted on Szmodics could have been spent on one.
I miss Emerton and Savage. You never knew when they might do something rash, it was like added suspense. When Emerton was coming up behind someone with possession I literally heard the Jaws theme.
For sure need some metal in the middle.

Why on earth would they be putting 8/10m a season in via share capital then?
