When the prostate exam comes make sure you can't see both hands...
Dont think that's necessary today. It better not be...

Right now sitting in a hospital room in just a gown waiting to be manhandled by a doctor for a yearly physical. Still feel more secure than I do about our trasfer policy.
PS This gown is ghastly. Would rather have something with ruffles.

Was looking into Punes major exports and was suprised to see "depression" was not listed. Engineering is their top one tho, so maybe thats engineering depression.

Does anyone know what percentage of player sales is reinvested these days?

Yep. Like our "healthy budget". I'm still not sure there is any evidence of "healthy" in this context meaning many £ more than 'negative'.
Indeed I've postulated that healthy budget could mean enough to buy a bag of rice to a destitute person and could mean enough to feed a thousand to a rich person.
Regarding Nixon we must always remeber that he's shilling news for direct money, writing a story called "Bugger All is Happening" will not get him beer money.

Anyone subscribe who can post the article? I'm wondering what 'close in' actually means...could be just clickbait.
Close is very relative and can be used by journalists with a great deal of ambiguousness depending on the relative impact of the event. A comet is considered close at 500,000 miles but a car coming within 3 feet of you is also close. So in regards to us losing our best player "close" could well mean many miles away.

Yup, wonder if we'll go for Bowler now, and that Malmö LW??
Funny how Gregg said signings weren't dependant on Brereton sale.
Seems very much like every signing is now dependant on his sale.
Unless they meant no expensive signings either way.
If they dont already have a proper contingency plan in regards to BBD sale then fury will be well grounded. Ray Charles today could have seen this coming.

And money - think it costs £20k to rush through a work permit / appeals application.
Can we just get him to ask for asylum?

But he can’t get a work permit??
Sounds about right for the recruitment strategy.
"We tried to bring some in but the work permit rules wouldnt allow it"

You mean he'll develop more here than at Sunderland?
I believe he will get more game time here and for stand out more.

If its concerning his career and development he'll want to come here.
If he's worries about making a wedge and stagnation he'll go there.

Can we get a live feed set up! 🙂
We can ask Venkys to sponser it but he may have to hold it for a week or two to hear back.

He's now saying it's not permanent
Nixon seems to favour the shotgun in regards to news as opposed to a well aimed rifle shot. You are more likely to bag the odd fleeing bunny but no one will ever acuse you of being a marksman.

It's extraordinary how many replies he gets. Absolute star of the show, whether you agree with what he says or not.
He's a fantastic news aggregator with an almost eidetic memory for press conferences. A jolly Drudge Report for Rovers news. My enervated and jaded self can barely comprehend someone with such unrelenting cheerfulness and optimism.

Why are you so active in this thread if all judgement is to be withheld until the end of the window?
If I were the suspicious, ex intelligence type I'd say he gets a wedge or a deep discount, but you can never discount absolute loyalty and almost manic cheerfulness. Either way I take great enjoyment reading him.

''First of all, it is understandable, if I was a supporter as well, I would be going crazy," Tomasson admitted. "If you count the number of players we lost who played minutes last season, 12 left and three have come in.''
Sounds pretty strong. Maybe a gauntlet thrown down.

Of course you're right. But we could quite easily put some pressure on him to leave.
Give me half an hour, a power outlet, any electrical appliance, hose, sponge and a steady stream of water.
