Sigurdsson reminds me of the lad Antonsson we had on loan. He'd be deadly in League One but there's not enough about him for the Championship.
Shockingly slow for someone who's played at the top level

Utterly bizarre deal bringing in two youth products who will just go back to their respective teams at the end of the season.
Don't play and we strain (or at least don't enrich) our relationship with their parent clubs.
Play well or otherwise, and we lose them.
Can't see what the rationale for bringing them in is besides getting more bodies in the squad for a dogfight, but at the expense of loaning out your very experienced captain (also with no option for that club to buy), utterly strange.- 2

Real shame Ferguson is Irish to the bone, seemed a ready made Kane replacement.

Southgate laid the foundations, but is not able to get that extra 15% needed to really win. He must go.
I expect the Euros will be his last shot at winning something and if he doesn't do well, he'll get his marching orders.
Question is, who on earth would we replace him with? -
The number of times the ball has hit Markanday on the head and bounced out...

Second to every ball, passes to nowhere...
Always amazes me that professional footballers at this level can't even get the ball to feet or keep it on the field.- 1

Agreed on the out muscled part that is a concern. But we have more pace through the team than they do believe it or not need markanday dolan and sammy to be right at it from the start
Leonard is 6'1" so not that small (though do agree).

Judging by pre season, Ben Benson has just told them to take all corners short and try and dribble it into the box and JRC to go for goal with any central free kicks
One wonders if a certain A. Wharton would make a good dead ball specialist?

Girona 4 - 2 Real Madrid
Girona 3 - 2 Blackburn Rovers
Rovers = better than Real Madrid

Bellingham signed for Real Madrid
Which is probably the best place for him for English football, imagine being able to train/improve alongside the likes of Kroos, Modric, Valverde... fingers crossed it works out

I’m not too fussed either way personally.
Would be a little frustrated at the “starting again” element but would be a test of this new structure, and we’ve been told there are succession lists for all areas (including players, coaches, staff etc)
Wouldn’t miss the tippy tappy goalkeeper to Centre back to goalkeeper bollox either. I’m not suggesting we’d be better off throwing JDT and his style away, but fuck, I could do without the weak as piss defending, bad organisation and laborious build up play.
Whilst I'm a fan of not everything JDT (although most), who on Earth would we replace him with? Inevitably we'll get slaphead noname with no ambition - with no funds and poor back team management in recent times, we're not an attractive prospect for an incoming manager

One of those was the free kick against West Brom, where the goalie showed the wrist strength of a Jacobs cream cracker and palmed it into the net.
😂😂 Might have to steal that description for use next time I'm in the pub.

Has a nice touch and the right physique to do hold up play well if he can stay off the treatment table (and we had an actual striker...)
Clearly had a goal or two in him as well at Plymouth, maybe just needs to get on a run.
