  2. as i saidearlier....bollux homesick, all that money to compensate ,he wants to look at the real world not his nacy pamby spoilt life.He doesnt want to play for us so why should he get a start in the first team now....ANYONE WHO WANTS A MOVE DOESNT WANT TO PLAY FOR THE FIRST TEAM,IF RANGERS DONT WANT HIM THEN ITS HIS PROBLEM...CAPT?MY ARSE!

  3. I rang last Friday for a ticket in the Blackburn End for a friend and was quoted £28.

You could've sat in a warm pub, watched the game over three pints of bitter at less than £6.

The quality of football on offer last night was dire with half a dozen, at least, of our lot looking like the mediocre journeymen they are.

3 pints in 2 hours??man you dont drink much in preston lol laugh.gif

On a serious note its been said on this board before ..scotty?rev?gav,sg?not sure who but its like a drug, the people who have stopped coming have lost the habit.Whether it be lack of entertainment, lack of winning ,ticket prices etc its hard to get these fans back 10 pound tickets 5 pound tickets it doesnt matter.Same with away matches back in the 80s i did 3 years home and away lost 3 jobs umpteen girlfriends but went wouldnt think twice about going to oxford hullpompey for a night match. But now the cost is silly £35 for bolton /palace but sorry I aint paying it.Then Charlton away 15 not bad value but cant be arsed going because im used to radio lancs sky tv etc.

The crowds wont come back until there is something they feel worth paying for.

  4. I promise you Rangers will/can offer 4-4.5 million and that will test our resolve.

Everton may offer 6 million, lets see what Bazza decides.

according to papers on sunday they took out a bank loan for beattie due to not enough funds due to the fact that utd are paying for rooney in installments ,so whether they would have to take another loan for mard arse I'm not sure.

  5. well what can you say ,not seen it on tv awaiting sky ports news as we speak but i got a text off a nobender who hates rovers and he says we were cheated .....LITTLE SCROAT ....HE SHOUDNT HAVE BEEN ON THE PITCH AFTER THE ELBOW,AND 2 MINUTES LATER HE ALBEIT LAMELY LASHED HIS ARM OUT AGAIN NR THE BLACKBURN END

  6. so bellamy what your saying is im wrong for taking my little lad because he isnt 8?he has loved coming ever since i took him to the barca friendly, granted he didnt know much ,but now he loves going he knows who the players are and whats happening.Mind you he does have a stead shirt lol

Tell you what meet me in the blues bar next saturday I will bring the wife who will take the little lad  home after you tell him hes not old enough. ohmy.gif

Jesus Christ Abbey, why does everybody take everything said on here to be a personal attack? It's like when USABlue jumps straight in if somebody half-subconscously insinuates that you have to go to matches or live in Blackburn to understand something.

No I'm not saying you're wrong for bringing your kid. I'm not saying he's wrong for turning up. I'm not saying Rovers are wrong for having a strategy to bring young kids in. This is not a criticism of you or what you do on Saturdays. It isn't a criticism of anybody who brings a kid to matches. It was simply my view on what nodrog said concerning free tickets for 8-12 year olds. From my own personal example, I didn't get into football until I was old enough to start playing it competitively, and the free tickets did nothing for my little brother because he hadn't built up any interest.

Don't just assume I'm here to insult you. We're all here just to post our opinions, and if it happens to be different from your own situation then don't just assume it's a criticism, OK?

withstupid.gif never said it was a personal attack but to question whether its right for under 8s to attend matches well say no more. Why cant 6 year olds enjoy football?

It would take more than a few words on here bellamy to insult me I assure you.

  8. Great points about Student season tickets and attracting kids.Kids free under 8 attract Parents to bring them.

Thanks for the support mhead and I hope you are successful with your campaign but imo far from encouraging under 8's we should ban em!

I shudder to think how many kids have been put off football through over-eager parents forcing them to attend in the cold and wet. Kids under 8 cannot comprehend competetive team sports as they do not play them till that age at the earliest and all they seem to have in their minds is a desire to be at home in the warmth with the lego out or watching some Disney / Simpsons video. And who can blame em? (BTW there is a daft school of thought put out by a few pinkoes that competative sports played by kids are harmful anyway! laugh.gif )

Free tickets would be far better appreciated by the 8-12 age groups imo.

took my little lad when he was 3 and he loved and still does hes absolutly gutted he cant go to night matches yet ,hes 6.

To say he doesnt know whats going on is rubbish he gets more carried than i do.
