  1. I only saw BBC's highlights rather than Sky's 50-minute package, but what a disappointing way to lose out on a point. The sending off was an utter nonsense. The goal...well, none of our defence comes out of that looking smart, but I think Brad has to take a fair share of the blame. The wall was poorly positioned and he failed to get to an average strike in the area he should have covered. Oh well, there's always next week.

PS Anyone chanting about Cisse's leg injury should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves.

  2. my sentiments exactly - i posted a similar post to yours last night and somehow it got deleted by the moderators - obvisouly because i was nearing the truth that the majority of people on this board have something against scottish people .

I'd just like to point out that this isn't what I was implying at all.

But I'm mystified by the prevailent view of the English people posting in this thread, which seems to be:

Scots gloat over England defeat = bitter Jocks

Engs gloat over Scotland defeat = getting it up those bitter Jocks

    Nice and balanced, eh? rolleyes.gif

  3. What sort of pleasure do you get out of it?

I don't remember any of the Scottish members of the board having laughing fits when England lost to NI, yet somehow we're the ones with chips on our shoulders?

Is this sort of gloating just attempts to deflect attention from the turmoil England are currently struggling through?

(Cue response: at least we're winning jock lololol)

  4. Draw. Probably another 1-1.

Prove me wrong again lads. smile.gif

    Thanks for that. smile.gif

I've only seen the second half highlights, but my didn't we look impressive? Wave after wave of attacks. And 8th in the league? How quickly things change.

Finally, a big well done to Shefki. Well deserved goals not only for his performance yesterday but for all the effort he's been putting in despite things having not gone quite right for him so far.

  5. Well the first 60 minutes were some of the most dire I've ever seen. Andy Gray had it spot on when he said we were just cancelling each other out completely. The substituions seemed to spark some life into proceedings and we actually seemed intent on getting a goal from then in - encouraging display from Bentley, and for all his shortcomings, Kuqi saw more of the ball in 30 minutes than Jansen and Emerton did between them. Hopefuly Bentley can provide that crucial missing component between middle and front.

  6. Didn't see your game.  Couldn't watch mine. (well only through my hands).  David Healy, eh???  Who'd have thought it.  Combined cost of NI-= almost £0  Combined cost of England £millions.  Combined worth of England £0.  Combined worth of NI= priceless!!!

Now all that's got to happen is that Scotland need to keep rememebring how to play footy, and someone else in the group needs to beat Norway.  OK not likely but at least we're in a better shape than we were.  Maybe Walter Smith isn't that bad a manager.

Not pining for Paul Lambert anymore? Livi have started this season well eh? wink.gif

  7. Aye it is, but technically one of them wont count. Dunno if it has been mentioned on here on not, but Scotland's u21's 2-2 draw, has now been awarded as a 3-0 win to Italy as Scotland fielded a player who was menna be suspended.

Yeah, totally shambolic situation. How no one from the manager, his assistants, the admin workers and the player himbloodyself noticed the suspension is just ridiculous. A very fine performance counts for nothing.

    On a positive note:

Woohoo! Great result, and now we (Scottish folks) can get our hopes up only to have them dashed at the last and cry injustice.

    Its all good. cool.gif
