  1. How old is he?

Agreed on the lego games, good fun, not too hard and you could probably pick up some of the older releases for not much money (as a taster)

he is turning 7.. He is quite smart and like i said he enjoys Minecraft. So he seems to be enjoying the whole strategy type of thing by the looks of things. He does have the Lego games on PS3.

  2. Finally jumped in on a ps4 last week - I know it's terrible timing but £274 with doom, ratchet, uncharted 4 and cod 3 was too good to turn down. Traded doom and cod for just shy of £60 credit which I'll put towards VR.

One reason I've been intending to get a ps4 was Until Dawn, started it tonight and it seems brilliant; sadly I know a spoiler but I'm hoping it doesn't take too much away from it!

I finally switched from my old PS3 to an Xbox One. Bloody hell, i see now they releasing the Xbox One S.. oh well, i dont play much anyway, and my kids birthday is soon, so i bought it for him as a present. any good Xbox One games guys?

  3. They seem to be happy with ST sales, up 144 % on last year, new family stand, 255 sold as opposed to 5 last yr, according to Rovers website.

    Quite pleased with themselves. ^_^

So they could have sold 10 season tickets last season, and now sold 25. Show us the actuals, rather than percentages. In fact percentages mean nothing, unless you can show the exact figures.

Why worry?...whoever the hated Venkys appoint it WILL be the wrong person.

We are on a hiding to nothing.

Not really. What if they appointed me? Oh never mind, i know one person without a doubt who will hate them appointing me. So i get tour point lol

  4. as i said to you previously OOT, the ICC is turning cricket into a circus with T20. I hate the format of the game, because imo its just not cricket. I dont care what people say, whether it be a refreshing change or something else, it becomes a problem, because what the kids see, is throwing the bat at ball, and not being taught proper technique and concentration.

  5. Congratulations to South Africa , any team that comes from 0-2 down to win 3-2 deserves the plaudits. We had chances to put this series to bed , but dropped catches cost us, on top of two catastrophic batting collapses.

In response to an earlier post I think we have to be careful about down playing ODI cricket. Granted , for England , South Africa and Australia, test cricket is still the holy grail. Personally I much prefer us to win the Ashes than win an ODI world cup.

However for India , the great cricketing powerhouse , one day cricket is where it's at. One of the reasons Trevor Bailey was appointed , was to improve our performances in the ODIs. He's made a good start ( ironically in the Test arena !) and we are playing better cricket, but there will be falls along the way.

Having said that I'm much more optimistic for the T20 world cup under the new management. I agree with Iceman , T20 is more tickle, but hopefully if it gets young kids into playing cricket then that can only be a good thing. I have to admit that although I'm a test cricket armchair fan , the only first class tickets I've bought so far in 2016 are for the T20 Lancashire v Yorkshire on 3rd June. If last seasons games are anything to go by , we'll have another great night of cricket followed by another great night of celebrations in Manchester ! Come on Lancs !

OOT, thats the biggest problem for me. ie T20 being the reason why kids want to play cricket, rather than the hard slog and patience of test cricket. Im a big fan of test cricket myself, and im not a fan of either the 50 or T20 formats. I was brought up watching test cricket, and have played 3 day cricket locally on an amateur level, but its great the longer format.

T20 has imo destroyed the test scene when it comes to young kids

  6. That was hilarious, though I remember being pretty angry at the time. We switched to Sky Digital in '99 and WCW wasn't on there, so the only way I could watch it was through Channel 5 and it @#/? sucked. The segments were weeks if not months old and often spliced together with no cohesion at all. If I remember correctly the show was called WCW Worldwide. By the time WCW came to Bravo (2000, 2001?) I'd already migrated to the WWF/E.

I did go through all of the WCW eps recently on the Network, from around mid-96 to the beginning of 1998. Really great stuff - WCW in its prime was a fantastic show. A shame that they had no ideas once the nWo idea became stale.

But thats partly due to Russo and Bischof, as they were terrible at the way they matched things up.
  7. The WWF/WWE Attitude Era will never be surpassed. It was simply a good backbone storyline tied in with fantastically played and distinctive characters.

    • The Rock
    • Stone Cold
    • Triple H
    • Kurt Angle
    • Chris Jericho
    • The Undertaker
    • Kane
    • Rikishi
    • Booker T
    • The Dudley Boyz
    • Mick Foley as GM
To name but a few... I still occasionally go back and watch clips of it on YouTube, but my age not withstanding, WWE does seem to be empty these days.
Ive also lost interest. I agree with one of the posts above, the day WCW folded was the day it became boring. Seeing Bill Goldberg, Rick and Scott Steiner, Nash, Sting etc challenge those of the WWE to battes were great. Eric Bischoff was also a great windup, and it made its battle with Mr Mcmahon something pretty special.

But WWE can never compete with the days when it was known as the WWF, with Taker, the 4 Horsemen, Michaels, Brett Hart, Mankind etc.

  8. Your team got stuffed in the proper cricket, and you were nowhere to be seen.

Now your team is suddenly winning the slap and tickle stuff, you're back.

    Poor.

Oh calm down, i posted when we lost the test series. I took it on the chin, and had no problem with losing. So where do you come to the fact that i was nowhere to be seen?

This game is not over yet as i said, and yet you want to moan because im having a little fun that we at least giving England a bit of run here ffs. Be a good sport Jim, instead of calling this tickle form of the game. If you want to call a format a tickle, then its the T20 format of the game.

Hales has played really well, and its a pity the rest have thrown their wickets away. We could easily be bowled out for 150 and lose this game. Thats cricket, so the game is far from over

    Well played Hales, fantastic century

  9. I'd be extremely wary of fully believing anything on TV - especially 'reality' and documentaries unless someone like Theroux involved. When something has been filmed over that amount of time, there is an incentive to get a product - which cuts at a certain time, a fade out on a scene or music building up to a point would all provide. The case files, in some parts, tell a slightly different story although I work in TV not law and I can't say I've read the full court scripts.

thats why i bloody hate discovery, because of Shark week the fools. Loads of those episodes were fake, especially the one in Cape Town which turn out to be a fake. I used to love Shark Week, but what a load of @#/? :angry2:

  10. Josh Buttler is their nemesis ( well apart from that unlucky dismissal yesterday - catches win matches! ) but Quinton De Kock is ours. His knock yesterday was world class. He's one of those batters that seem to have all the time in the world to play his shots and never looks like he's going to get out. How South Africa must regret starting with AB as wicketkeeper in the Test series

Although I'd have liked a 5 - 0 whitewash , South Africa's win yesterday sets up the series nicely .

    Go on Saffers :D

  11. never heard of it before but just watched the trailer and it looks good fun and something different, any good?

It's good, a mix of Narnia, Game of Thrones etc. Or at least something like that. If you into the fantasy type genre, then you will like it. Im enjoying it, but I'm more intrigued at the plot and the visuals and so on
