  1. We are in serious trouble if we don’t get at least three quality attacking goal threats in here soon.

We need Armstrong. He can play up top with Graham, or wide right in the 4-2-3-1.

We need another right winger, as Bennett is now viewed at RB, RWB or CM. Left winger/Inside Forward and 6ft+ Striker. If we have the money a quality Centre half won’t go a miss. Lenihan can fill in at RB if Nyambe/Travis/Bennett are all out, we don’t need a RB. It’s the same needs we have had all summer, and two preseason games in it looks like we are right.

Nyambe was excellent last year, I watched 44/46 games on Ifollow. Been watching football for nearly 30years and can normally tell when someone is shite, live or on the 70” Telly. Some folks expecting him to look like Cafu. He is a very fast defensive right back. My biggest complaint aside from his crossing is he gets lost at times when the ball is in the air. It’s strange. He is lightning fast, strong as an ox, and can run all day. Think most people will agree he came on leaps and bounds last year, and as I said last week at Hibs, he looks to have lost a few pounds and looks even more athletic.

Just had a quick scan through and I found 15 Championship clubs that have brought in more than 2 players so far this window. Also we are a newly promoted team so we are going to need to add a few more as we will be playing a much higher standard of opposition this season. I still think that we need 2 wingers, centre forward, a centre half and a right back & we only have 26 days now to achieve this in.

Liked the comment, then had to unlike when I got to the right back part. Strongly disagree.

Love the optimism but I think we need to enjoy this year. Consolidating our status must be the priority and build on the positivity. We can't overshoot and expect things and rush things. With that squad while we could go up we would head straight back down from the PL. We need to build a squad that is ready and good to go to handle the PL and build on it when we head up. I would be happy to see our young team develop and move in the right direction.

You could sign all 4 for the price of one Lewis Grabban.

Tony said he wants young hungry players. Those were who I listed.

Just watched some more footage of Maddison, he has stolen MGP's left peg.

I don't think Smallwood is good enough for the Championship as a starter. Outside of a bottom 6 team.

First 4 months = ?... Then he got one booking away from the 2 game suspension and went seriously off the boil for me, he wasn't sprinting back either which was more concerning, he never rediscovered his form even after the deadline passed.

4-2-3-1, I'd start with Bennett and Davenport personally, Bennett is physically quicker, stronger, more of a goal threat (?) and I'd also say more committed than Smallwood. Davenport seems to have the quality to start, all things being said.

Smallwood's chant actually became satire, how often he actually gave the ball away.

He deserves his place in the squad and on the bench as a bit part player... but he's not going to take us beyond survival level. But I certainly would keep him around.

    All IMO.

    100% Hard truths.

  5. Imagine if we got Bauer, Maddison, Armstrong and Chapman all bought, and then loaned a Premier League Striker.

SIgning those 4 fits in with positions of need, what Mowbray says about younger players with resell value. Could get most of that done with the Josh King Cut.

Playoffs, you want to talk about playoffs.

If the sell on clauses haven't already been bought out...........

    Surely just a FM18 thing

For a decent window so far, folks are sure bitchy on here.

In terms of Edwards, was he the lad that ran the show against us at Ewood in the first half? That first half against Peterborough was the most impressive performance against us all season. Looked like bloody Barcelona showed up, we got lucky that day.

  7. Can't remember who mentioned it, but someone on here made the point of Armstrong has to learn to play the Inside Forward/Right Winger position. So many teams like us are playing the 4-2-3-1, he simply doesn't have the stature to play as a lone striker.

I wanna see a fast counter attacking team with Chapman and Armstrong providing the pace out wide.

He cost Liverpool £20 million 4 years ago. Only coming from one Twitter account by the looks of it.
Serbian international. Wages would be huge.
    No chance.

I mean I'm sure it would be a loan for a season. Poor lads been shipped out 4 years out of the last 4. On about 35k a week.

Done business with Liverpool twice in the past 12 months.

    Stranger things have happened.

  9. Chapman over Conway anyday of the week and twice on Tuesday. What is with this Conway lovefest, he can barely run for gods sake. If we play a 4-2-3-1 like we did last year for most of the season, then you need a left winger who is quick on the break and can beat a man. More focus on going forward.

Have Evans and Smallwood do the dirty work, we need someone in the team with pace.
