Poor girl Sparky, but that's a good one! -
RIP Ronnie, a true Rovers great. Nice to watch his and Dougie's love for their club in 67Splitscreen's video. True legends.

Has Belfast film-maker found time travel evidence? "A Belfast film-maker has posted a video on the internet showing what he says could be evidence of time travelling. George Clarke from east Belfast has been puzzled for more than a year by a scene in a film which appears to show a woman talking on a mobile phone. The unusual thing is that the movie was made by Charlie Chaplin in 1928 - long before mobile phones were invented. In the eight days since George posted the clip on Youtube - more than 1.5m people have viewed the video online........." -
Nice little schooling for the Turkish maestro before returning to Lancashire to take the helm of his spiritual abode. Would be a tough decision for him to leave Gala if at some stage Rovers were to offer him an assistant manager / manager role. Imagine Tugay at the touchline, cigarette in hand, expensive designer suit and ponytail. He'd have to be pretty damn bad for the Ewood faithful to turn on him!

My grandfather helped to make DeLoreans here in Northern Ireland where they were produced for the DeLorean Motor Company. Not aware of him ever producing a time machine however. I remember watching Back to the Future Part III at the cinema. Probably my earliest cinematic memory.

Along those lines, watched IT recently. Comes across as more of a comedy than how I remember it when I was younger, rather unsurprisingly.

He has never talked publicly about having a gambling problem. In his Newcastle days though he reportedly amassed a debt of £60,000. In his early days he apparently managed to squander £47,000 in one day and £62,000 over three – not what you'd call prudent housekeeping. Shame really, he comes across as a nice guy. Hope he finds himself a club in England. Think it was a mistake moving back to play in the Irish League last year, both financially and in terms of prolonging what's left of his career (particularly for the international side).

I can't say I'm massively shocked at that news!! -

Ah, excellent, I'll have to keep an eye out for that. I can imagine the banter (abuse!?!) he gets when he's out. The psychiatrist skit in the last one had me in stitches. That office seems strangely similar to the uni halls -
I remember e-mailing John Curtis many years ago when he was with us. Told him he was brilliant and I couldn't understand how Gary Neville was ahead of him for England. Seemed like a very amicable chap from his reply, but his sarcasm detector must be buggered.

Very funny, just watched the 6th one on his Facebook there. Hadn't realised it was finishing myself. I think they've probably got better in general as they've progressed. -

Think yous should enjoy these videos. There's a series of them called 'I am Fighter', the first of which is below: If you enjoy it, there's a set of follow-ups on YouTube, or his website Gedzilla. About half a dozen or so, and a range of out-takes. -

Anybody watch 'Broken Flowers' last night on BBC1? I only started watching it after reading Bill Murray was in it (legend that he is). Good little film, worth a watch if you didn't catch it.

That link led to me to this brilliant picture of Sol Campbell from last month. Puts Benni Mac to shame. Good Honeymoon Sol? -

Barely recognised Pep from that video. Seems to have been a bit shaver happy. Very Geography teacher. Trezeguet missed a sitter for 3-0 towards the end too. Jose will be a happy boy, particularly with Carvalho scoring in their win. -

David Sullivan - "It's just don't eat ice cream, don't eat cakes." That is funny, but Sullivan really is an interfering old ring-piece. Everything he thinks, he tells a journalist. Tomorrow's Sullivan exclusive - "I feel thirsty. Might have a glass of water." -

That's brilliant. 10/10 for imagination. -
Anyone ever seen a film called 'Tokyo Gore Police'? It's just wrong on so many levels. I think they must have used their whole budget waterproofing their camera equipment for the authentic blood which features so prominently. Worth a watch if you feel like a bit of a laugh, in a sick sort of way.

Watched Face/Off the other night for the first time in quite a while. Forgot how much I really liked it. Classic stuff.

A real shame that Benni couldn't get himself to a suitable level of fitness for the tournament for himself as has been mentioned, but also for the South African team. I think they missed a player of his style (when fit and motivated) to give that creative spark and goal threat in the final third of the pitch. I think he would have complimented Katlego Mphela very well up front, playing just off him. Mphela looked too isolated for most of the tournament. He must have felt like a prize idiot watching that tournament from home knowing what could have been.
