If you watched the Wigan v Saints game then Wigan's 19 consisted of 17 British players of which 14 come through the Wigan academy. April fools? not sure which bit you would think would an April fool.

Missed the RL bit! The Wigan area provides has so many people at all levels that losing Wigan would just cause the game to collapse. The RFU know this and have made a play for the club before now and will again.

Without Wigan would be a minuscule amateur game.

Not the greatest performance but who cares, it shuts stains up for an hour or two. What is exciting is how many young academy lads are not only breaking through but actually staking a strong claim for starting spots.

More action/skill/pain/determination/speed/handling/excitement in 10 minutes than you will see in the entire six nations. A good contrast between two teams the opposite ends of the squad life cycle.

I agree with the sentiment, but for the first time in years I've not renewed. I will go to some but I'm not wasting money on meaningless walk-overs. I fear the worst for RL, standards are falling dramatically, at least 50% of the clubs aren't viable and the play-off structure now means you can have a win ratio in the 40-50% area yet still win the competition whilst those who have gone for every game show fatigue towards the end and struggle right at the end. Great game, crap governing body. My prediction is that SL will be a semi-pro comp in the not too distant future.

Played 160 minutes of semi-final RL this season and only competed for 40 of those minutes. I said that we will only win the hubcap and I think that will be all we'll win under Wane. Wow, whilst you lot were no doubt watching the sh!te at Ewood I watched the most incredibly inept reffed game of RL ever. Leeds got away with so much it's beyond a joke and if McGuire isn't banned on Tuesday then the RFL is corrupt.

I think the clubs have an unwritten agreement that the team with the club call picks the lowest placed team remaining, in our case it'll be Leeds IMO. Can't see Wolfs doing anything other than destroy Hull and I think Leeds will just about scrape past Les Cats though it'll be a close one. Think we can win our Semi, still not convinced about final, Saints we have a chance, Wolfs, nope. Think we are a better team than Wolfs but we seem to bottle it against them.

That's all we will win this season.
