Although they are always “willing to sign the cheque”, why is it whenever it comes to money spending in the transfer window or something major, this doesn’t really happen?

Any update on the McGurie transfer? Maybe this question could be asked at the next meeting.

The minutes show the question was asked and the answer was a fudge.

Obviously, we’ve had no confirmation either way, but I’d be amazed if there was any sort of price drop at all.

Particularly if, as suspected, there’s a drop off in sales, then SW will need to hit his revenue targets.
Which to him are obviously far more important….

They’ll sell very few new tickets if they increase the prices.

They’ll almost certainly lose some existing sales if they increase the prices.

    The man is a moron.

Sheff Wednesday released 24/25 season ticket prices in January, whilst 6 points adrift from safety!

Prices have gone up too, dearest £720 if bought early, cheapest £460 if bought early, they only go up in price from there!

It’s good to know it’s not only us who has ******* bonkers owners.

Just taken a look, current range is £535 to £765!

  4. How they could justify a price rise on a product which is becoming ever inferior* is beyond me.

‘we need the money’ would be at total odds with their assertion that the owner’s ongoing court case won’t affect the running the club.

    * both in terms of the quality on the pitch and the number of matches being moved for TV.

    Point 4…

How can Waggott say the case hasn’t had a direct effect on the club when we had to sell Wharton to pay the day to day bills??

How can Venkys see no issues with sending funds as and when needed when they need the court’s permission to do so??

    Point 5…

Just how long does an internal investigation into someone not pressing the right button take??

    Point 6…

I thought recruitment was now a director of football thing and not a head coach thing??

On McGuire - was there any confirmation as to whether we ever flew to Orlando as February’s statement said we would?

General point - is there any reason I should believe a single word attributed to the club employees in these minutes?

Which is shit and is why we've never seen an English team do anything on the international stage.

It's a shit approach and never yields anything other than mediocrity.

You're better off getting beat trying to win than getting beat trying not to lose. I have yet to see useless even trying to win a game. Sunderland was a dead rubber for them and Leeds was a smash and grab where we got incredibly lucky to not concede in the first half.

We all know this squad is shit but he came in singing their praises and basically alluding to JDT just making "excuses" for the absolute dog shit results. As we all know they weren't excuses, the squad is shit and full of soft little boys that can't handle the jandal.

Also remember this, when useless took over we were closer to the top six than the bottom three.

No we weren’t, after the Stoke game we were 11 points behind sixth and 7 points ahead of 22nd.

This is in no way an endorsement of JE - he’s done nothing to convince me he’s the right man for the job (before anyone asks I’ve no idea who would be 😬)

The TV deal is a sickener for all clubs. Sky will put absolutely no thought towards the fans, moving more games here there and everywhere. It will affect crowds up and down the country, showing furthermore that when Sky said during Covid that football is nothing without fans, it was a blatant lie from their side.

Throw in the disconnect currently between the fans and the club and the shoddy way its being run with owners as bad as youll find in the EFL, and budget cuts galore. With a poor team under an unpopular manager and a pitiful home record this season, season ticket sales will dive. The only way to keep them respectable is a significant drop in price. I expect at best a freeze.

Neither did the EFL in agreeing the deal.
