  1. I expect they’re waiting for you to pay for the prize.
  2. Perhaps Tronstad does want to go back to Norway. If that is the case, maybe just maybe we should be trying to persuade him to change his mind.
  3. On holiday, forgot what day it was 🤦‍♂️ Maybe I should do that more often 😄
  4. I think when one ‘reason’ disappears another one takes its place.
  5. No, the court case and the investigation are two separate things (albeit the former is only happening because of the latter). The Adjudicating Authority will rule re any fine (max circa £7.7-£8.5 million depending on source of exchange rate used) - I believe they have a year to do so (I’m not sure whether this is from submission of the complaint by the Directorate of Enforcement or from when they then first convene).
  6. The investigation into the Venkys has reached the Adjudicating Authority stage who will decide if and what punishment (fine) they’ll receive. The court cases instigated by the Venkys will next be heard in November, the website isn’t currently working so I can’t check the exact date (I think it’s the 12th). As far as I recall (can’t double check as above) they’ll now just be arguing over which version of the relevant law should have applied to the monies mentioned in Venkys original petition to the courts. This mattered as under the preceding version they would’ve had the certificate needed to send monies over but under the new version they did not (as the legislation change included changing which institution issues this certificate). I don’t see why it matters any more as the various interim orders have allowed Venkys to send monies anyway. Maybe they’ll be trying to remove the remaining conditions (having to show the money is used for its stated purpose). I hope that makes sense.
  7. Him playing for Hungary will make no difference for now given their current ranking. Doesn’t matter though as, so long as he remains first choice, he’ll have enough points (% of minutes played for us + quality of league we play in) to convert in January.
  8. I fear I may start having to talk to my wife again 😁😁
  9. If we can afford to pay more be critical of the fact we’re not willing to. If we can’t afford to pay more be critical of what’s lead to this. Neither position, in my opinion, is defendable.
  10. I think you’ve outlined perfectly the difference between a wage budget and a wage structure. The first is a very arbitrary limit, the second is more fluid and would have reasoning behind why a player is in a certain range and what’s necessary for him to move into a further one. If these are clearly conveyed to the players they then can’t be in any doubt as to what they need to do to achieve a pay rise. The club should also be keeping an eye on other clubs’ pay structures so what we offer can be adjusted to remain as competitive as possible.
  11. Chaddy has previously said we should offer key players £15,000 a week. The suggestion is made that our new wage limit is £10,000 a week. Logically point 1 should lead to him being critical of point 2. Apparently not…
  12. You just can’t shift that thought can you @DeeCee 😁😁
  13. Unless things take an expected turn then I think you’re right re our interest (but I’ll keep an eye on it anyway ‘just in case’). I also had the thought they may now go after the difference between securities and maximum fine. Like you, I doubt they’d, if successful, pass this onto the club.
  14. Using the same numbers as the court order: Venkys ask to send circa £12.5 million without the need to make a guarantee payment Points out guarantee previously reduced to 50% Confirms monies (and value of properties) held by Directorate of Enforcement far exceeds the highest fine Venkys could receive. States court doesn’t see why further securities necessary. Venkys request (see 1) approved but points out remaining conditions remain Case (just this bit re guarantee, not the entire thing!) closed. I hope this helps.
  15. No it’s a brand new £12 million to us but without the need for a further guarantee payment because of it. No guarantees needed for future remittances either.
  16. Just for clarity, this is the most it could be and, as the adjudication is yet to be made, there may be no fine at all.
  17. Linked to this maybe?? https://www.scottishfa.co.uk/news/young-players-given-greater-flexibility-to-move-during-key-development-stage-as-cooperation-system-launches-in-scotland/
  18. They sent £15 million in March ‘24 (without going to court).
  19. Squad list announced: https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2025/september/08/rovers-submit-2025-26-squad-list/
  20. How’s this one sound?: One of the remaining conditions to them remitting money is the club’s auditor must issue an end use certificate within three working days so… Current auditor binned off towards end of December, new one not appointed until early February.
  21. As it doesn’t happen very often I would like to play the I was right card 😁😁
