  1. I suppose it depends on how much you liked the first film, I grew up loving fantasy films such as Jason and the argonauts and the Sinbad films but Clash of the titans was my all time favourite. The big thing for me is that all the mythological creatures that are in the ealier movies have a feel of terror to them, in the new one I half expected Medusa to have a I pod on and nail varnish.
  2. Avatar was a decent film only ruined by Sam Worthington, For some reason I cant stand him, watched him in Clash of the titans which was without a doubt the worst remake of any film ever. Only film he was good in was Rogue in which he got eaten Film was great though.
  3. Watched City of God the other day, Fantastic film, cant believe this has been out since 2002 and I never heard of it.
  4. Nice clip, Shearer would never get away with a shoulder barge like that these days
  5. When I saw the South africans being led out by The Axe and they were all singing and dancing in the tunnel it sent shivers up my spine and covered me in goosebumps, also so many South African fans talking about there best player Benni Mccarthy before the WC, the majority not even knowing he wasnt in the squad. How they really could have done with an in form and fit Benni too, he could have made hero status in his home country if only he would have given some effort, I certainly cant speak for him but if he hasnt got the biggest regret of his life after missing out on that then he was born with no heart. Such a shame for him to reflect back on in later life, some people just never learn.
  6. I was a huge Band of Brothers fan and Have been looking forward to the release of the Pacific (I couldnt wait for easter so I found other means of getting the series ) but so far I have to say it is not a patch on BOB, the first episode felt really rushed, It doesnt really give you much time to get to know the characters unlike BOB where you had a full episode of them training, then they seem to have 1 battle and are bruised and battle veterans. The next episode was worse it showed the Japs relentless attacking (at night) which makes it very hard to see and then they end up coming off the line to board the boats upon which learning they were heroes back in the US to which surprised them. I have no doubt that there exploits in the Pacific would have made them heroes but in 2 episodes it all feels rushed, there are ten episodes in total and I sure hope it picks up a bit as I have been waiting for the series for quite some time, I have just bought Band of Brothers on Blueray and was hoping to add this but at this rate it may only make my betamax collection
  7. I watched the game played out and its a great game, I believe there are around 20 endings and every action you take leads to a different reaction to how the storyline goes, however at the end the killer is always the same. It wasnt the butler either
  8. I found this too, I had barely heard about the game let alone the beta but like you since I put the game in cod 6 really hasnt had a look in, I find it a lot less hmm how do I put this.....well personal. In some gametypes I havent really got a clue whats going on when I first start and my score reflects that but I dont get some random guy giving me grief because of my kill death ratio, as a medic I usually score more xp than them anyway which places you higher than kills or deaths which is nice. On the skirmish maps I can happily come away with a score of over 20 kills and less than five deaths through sniping but still be placed nowhere near the top 3. As I said it makes a refreshing change to be able to play how you like and not be judged on kills or deaths, although I had never heard of M.A.G plenty had when I went to buy this game I bought the last instore, Game had sold out, I got the last one from Gamestation, and all the other stores were putting the prices up to £49.00 from the £39.00 I had paid, I havent had to wait very long before joining any kind of battle online either which is also cool.
  9. I bought M.A.G the other day and have to say im really enjoying it, I have played fps shooters for ages and never pass up the opportunity to get another, most of the fps I played was on the pc with a high amount of players on each server however since the arrival of COD 6 on pc and how bad it was I decided to learn how to use the pads ond play on the PS3. Having played COD 6 on PS3 I got a bit of a taste for fps on the ps3 even though I was still getting a lot of lag, so enter M.A.G it bosts 256 players on the same map at the same time with some really good gamestyles and plenty of choices as you lvl your character up. So far I have enjoyed being a medic and reviving downed allies it really builds your xp too, sniping too is really fun as the maps are so big you can really have a good wander around for some good spots, if you like the more frantic action you can assault with your platoon and acomplish the objectives. All in all its a very good game and makes a refreshing change to COD 6 and in all the time I have played I have encountered zero lag which FPS games really need to have to be accurate with your guns. Also I am looking forward to Battlefield bad company 2 which is a going to be much like M.A.G but with less players, if you like COD 6 have a look at these games for a refreshing change.
  10. I dont see how anybody can blame Sam for Benni going (Believe me I would like to) it was only a matter of time before someone called his bluff. I will miss his creativity and his confidence in front of goal but since Chelsea wanted him Benni's heart just wasnt there. I just hope Beattie isnt going to be lined up to replace him as I dont quite see how that would work unless Sam plays 2 up front or are we going to see poor Kalinic warming the bench again. At least there are 2 good things come from this, the FM 2010 fans have got to see a bit of activity in this damn window and I hope it fires Sam up and the players to get a long overdue win daan in the east end.
  11. I hope not, the longer he is there the better for clubs around them , there are some bad clubs this year, i really feel there are at least 5 or 6 clubs that could well go down, but i feel pompey regardless of which manager they have will still go down unless they inject some brass into the club.
  12. He wants to spend his final footballing years in his home country and has been lucky enough to secure a years contract at a good club, most rovers fans would be glad to see him gone at his age and replaced with someone younger that includes me. At rovers he did a professional job to the best of his abilities and i wish him all the best, i dont see what there is to fuss about, thanks andre.
  13. very true, but its always worth a try , i managed to blend my son (quite annoying) with my dog (very loyal and placid) it worked a treat !! imagine a dog that can take himself for a walk and pick his own crap up! but on the downside its virtually impossible to find an xbox in the shape of a bone! Forgive my incoherant ramblings, in short i feel benni is a striker who can score and therefore i have all the time in the world for him as frustrating as he can be, pair him with the right man and watch him blossom, show him no love and watch him crumble. the oh so delicate mind of a footballer .
  14. If we could combine jase and benni into 1 player what a player it would be, a player who is strong, works hard, runs with ball, tracks back, and most of all could finish with confidence, the pairing of these 2 should really work but doesnt to a degree , lets just get some chloroform, mess with genetics a bit and develop a 25 goal a year machine and play 4,5,1 job done top seven finish!! now why the hell cant i win a game in fm 2009
