  1. It was absolute madness to take off all of Cantwell, Dolan, Hedges, Travis and Tronstad. You can't take off our 5 best players in the biggest game of our season, especially when you replace them with a bunch of journeymen who have barely played all season.

Unfortunately after redeeming himself in the last 4 games, Ismael panicked at the end there and made too many changes to try and nick it.

Credit to the lads though, it was still a fantastic season but once again we miss out by the smallest of margins. Sheffield looked superior to us in every way, and it's unlikely we would have been able to beat them another 2 times if we reached the playoffs anyway.

  2. Final nail in the coffin this. If we can’t even beat a poor team like Wednesday. Two goals before half time is laughable.

Ismael needs to go he can’t be in charge next season unless they genuinely want to kill the club. You can’t keep your job when it’s this bad.

We’ve had a good track record recently hiring managers with Mowbray, JDT and Eustace. But this latest appointment wasn’t it and they messed up badly. Own up to it and make the change now. The longer they drag this out the worse it will get for everyone.

  3. If we end up on the losing end tonight, which looks quite likely now, this manager absolutely has to be potted ASAP. Let Lowe and co manage the last few games. It can’t be any worse than this.

I visited Ewood for the first time in my Rovers supporting life for the Pilgrims game and absolutely loved watching us get a fantastic 2-0 win. Two great goals, good atmosphere and a brilliant team performance all round. I had some naive hope leaving that game that things would turn out okay… but this moronic pick of manager and horrendous run is just absolutely infuriating.

    Heads should roll after this.

  4. I can’t believe what an absolute shambles this is. To leave a team in the top 6 for a poor team in a relegation scrap is a massive embarrassment for this club’s management team.. far more than even the diabolical mismanagement of the Lewis O’Brien transfer.

Most depressingly for me is that I’m currently in the UK, for the first time in my 20 years supporting Rovers. When we first booked the trip, it was in mid-December and we had just come off our 6-match winning streak. I had some small hope that by the time I would arrive this week, we would still be doing well and there would be a somewhat positive atmosphere at the  stadium for my first trip to Ewood Park. But it seems as always, the post-Christmas collapse is well and truly on with an inexplicably shambolic situation behind the scenes.

  5. Hi all,

I’ve been an overseas Rovers supporter for a long time now (although not as long as a lot of you on here!) and seeing a game at Ewood Park has been on my bucket list for that time. I’m finally going to make my way there in February next year with the missus and our newborn, so keen to get some recommendations from the folks here on what to do and see near Blackburn or UK in general.

I would have loved to make it for the Preston game on the 1st of Feb, but we won’t make it to the UK until the 9th, so the plan is to come through Blackburn on the 15th for the game against the Pilgrims.

Any and all recommendations are welcome and I would be keen to meet up with people for a drink or 2 before the game!
