Right up there with the best performances of the season. The 2 old heads doing exactly what we needed and leading the way, Downing and especially today Johnson were superb. Well done to the players and well done to Mowbray who got it spot on.

Buckley shut me up by putting in a performance a million miles from what we have seen prior. Samuel as good as ive seen him with some very intelligent hold up, Armstrong has had better games and not quite as sharp as he can be but of course a threat. Adarabioyo so composed, Nyambe had a shaky first 10 minute them back to his usual recent self afterwards, Bell far more composed than usual, Lenihan made a few really needless rash challenges and one yellow away from a 2 game ban but a leader back there. And Walton bailed us out with a few excellent saves and was generally very dependable. Travis gave it away a few times and got sloppy but got through plenty of work. And the subs came in and just slotted in nicely.

Spot on. I couldn’t have summed that up any better. Ref was shocking for penalising Samuel Early doors  when it was a certain penalty and sending off. Bottled it big style.

  2. So, I’ve had several conversations with young Maddison, scores goals, assists and saw him recently he hit the post, puts crosses into the box, he shoots from outside the box, is now the delegated free-kick taker but we decided to go down a different route.

I am at a total loss trying to understand what our manager’s  thought process is? Amazing!

I would feel much more confident if we had Bauer and Maddison in our line up tonight.

It's more than just being in this "crap division " for me matey. It's the whole mess, the debt, the powerlessness, the alienation from the fans of the what used to be what I felt was my club, the lots of really dull football, the "doublespeak " from those supposedly in charge. It's the whole nine yards. You and I have seen us in this " crap division " before for decades but we never lost the faith, Rovers were our team even when we couldn't pay the electric bill. I could always paint a rosy picture of our future then even if it was pretty unrealistic, under the Chokers I can't.

Post of the year thus far. Just about sums up everything about the once great Blackburn Rovers Football Club and where we are today. An institution that has lost its soul and I don’t know if and when we will ever get it back. Certainly not under this lot.

Greaves moved him back into midfield in latter years and he strolled through.

Byrom always had a touch of arrogance (in the right way) and was a class act - loved watching him play.

Also was intelligent in using his energy at the right moments - something Sam Gallager needs to learn if it's not too late, instead of charging around on lost causes.

Interesting that no one appears to have mentioned Raya’s major blunder on Boxing Day. OK, they were 3 up at the time but if Walton had committed such a blooper, I’m sure he would get sheds load of criticism on here.

Another even more horrendous blooper from Raya again today. That’s 2 in 2 this week and cost them the match today.

Getting a bit fed up waiting for Sky to announce their next batch of TV games. As it stands they have announced up to but not including 5th October. We are down to play QPR away and I want to book the train before the prices go up. I don't want to risk it because knowing my luck they'll move the game for TV.

They are supposed to announce the TV games a minimum of 5 weeks before it takes place. That's this Saturday so they're pushing it right to the wire.

No chance QPR game will be live on Sky. Their game at home v West Brom is live the Saturday before. Can’t see anyone being on in consecutive  weeks unless you are (we want you back in the Premier League) Sky’s favourite - Leeds Utd.
