I seem to remember him kissing the Chelsea badge after scoring against us; that wouldn’t have helped…
I seem to remember an interview he gave on TV about his career and never mentioned Rovers.

I was speaking with a PNE Director some 12+ months back and their Club have a policy of targeting every PR postcode
I wouldn’t put too much credence to what your PNE director says Mike. He may have sanctioned that action but the minions carrying out his wishes obviously haven’t read the script. I have lived in the PR2 postcode for 16 years and thankfully have never been targeted by PNE. The bonus being less paper waste consigned to the bin.
Nevertheless your points are very valid, unfortunately I would suspect that the villages you mention will not be known by the likes of Waggot, nor will he have the gumption to look at their location on a map.Apathy is their watchword

One of the best I ever saw was Ricky Holden at Oldham and City. I swear I could run faster but all he needed was a little jink to buy him half a yard and he’d whip in a great cross. A left footer playing on the left wing. No way would Mowbray and most modern coaches play him there.
Talking Rovers players, Mike Harrison could put over a bullet of a cross without breaking his stride whilst running at top speed. Not something you see much these days.
The speed of the cross is important as well, whipped in, it cuts down defenders reaction time.Mike Harrison, what a player.

I presume he has an agent? Who is it, as most decisions lie in the palm of their hands regardless of length of contract.

England have never had as gifted a manager since El Tel, a great man manager who had a total affinity with both players and fans, yet was so forward thinking. Both he and Clough were not liked by the FA but at least Tel got the opportunity to show his skill.
RIP Terry, and thoughts, as always, should be with his family. -
We certainly had a thug/hard man as a manager though.

Shearer as someone said earlier could always look after himself especially if he sniffed a scoring opportunity, wasn’t it Keown he nudged into the Nuttall Street gravel track in our first home game in the prem?

Not sure which was worse, the England performance, the referee or Dion Dublin.

Southern Macedonia is a province within Greece. Northern Macedonia is an independent country. Greece objected to the independent country calling itself just Macedonia (itself only created when Yugoslavia fell apart) as by the name there is a perceived inference that it lays a claim to all of historical Macedonia including the bit in Greece. So settlement reached where independent Macedonia renamed itself as Northern Macedonia. Everyone happy (probably not).
Very informative answer, thank you

It’s time to ditch VAR, it was bloody obvious it was offside.

Greece.
I was making a point as to why it’s North Macedonia. Saying South Macedonia is Greece isn’t an answer really.
-
So where is South Macedonia then?

It will be a close run thing. I’m impressed by the number of shirts the Indian fans have bought mind.

India on the ropes in the final. Can’t wait for the Aussies to win on India’s home turf.

They were better. The Leeds team of the 1960-70s was one of the best this country has produced. I loved watching them
I beg to differ . Real have won the European Cup/Champions League a total of 14 times, including 5 on the trot in the 50’s. Leeds on the other hand have been runners up once.

Talking about shirts with different sleeves like Ipswich, there must be some on here who remember Leeds with yellow shirts and blue sleeves. I think it was Revie who changed it to all white so they looked like Real Madrid.
Dream on Don, they were nothing like Real Madrid.- 1

How very sad, a true Rovers legend, only one year older than me so must have started going about the same time.
RIP Alan, sleep well and do your best looking down from above, the same as you did from the terraces for all the years.- 2
