I’ve just discovered a film called “Going In Style” starring Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman and Alan Arkin. It’s the sort of storyline that appeals to me about the small man getting his own back after being stuffed by authority.
The one thing I respect Michael Caine for is even though when acting in an American production like this one, he doesn’t try to adopt a Mid Atlantic accent. -
Well southerners should take solace in this. They even put R’s in words where they don’t exist: eg
I thought I sawr a pussy cat
I did some drawring at school today
Obviously not English that they are speaking!

I used to be fasinated with the names of some of the Scottish teams.
Me too, especially when clubs like Stenhousemuir don’t exist as an actual location. Another interesting fact is that Queen of the South are the only football club in the UK to be mentioned in the bible.

Since when have spurs ever been "the best of the prem"?
Fourth best at the absolute maximum.
But yes, all it would take here is some organisation and people who give a fuck and we'd be back to our 'natural level'
I wasn’t meaning a direct comparison to Spuds UD but more a generalisation.

Three ex Rovers keepers who were slagged off on here at various times, all holding their own in the Prem.
Be careful what you wish for.

Watching Brighton v Spuds, just goes to show what a well run club Brighton are, from obscurity to challenging the best of the Prem, who does that remind us of?

Well Christmas has now passed once more, so here’s thanks to all the team that makes this fans web site the absolute best in existence. Thanks to you all, you know who you are.
For Yankfan’s lad; if anyone asks him which club that shirt belongs to, tell them who we are and that we were in existence when Ulysses S Grant was president. That should tell them we have history longer than them.- 2

It seems to be that the blame is always laid at the door of the keeper on most occasions.
I met him on the Isle of Mull where he was a postman and I think ran a guest house. The poor lad finished up suffering with Altzheimers before he died -

Am I correct in saying that there is a move afoot to get home test matches on free to air TV?

One of our large local shopping centres has been bought by “ the Blackburn based Adhan Group “. They got it for a song really, Anybody know anything about them. What I can find out on the internet leads me to think this isn’t going to end well.
It won’t

Quote from their sporting director (sounds very Broughtonesque)…
He has an excellent and well-founded reputation for developing players and he is an outstanding progressive coach, who is aligned with our playing identity and naturally fits within our structure alongside Mike Dodds and the wider team."
Developing players? At Rangers he spent a fortune on absolute dross. Rangers fans glad to see the back of him.
