There can't be many people actually looking forward to buying one of these as it stands today.
A terrible home season with barely any wins or goals, a squad built mainly of loans and academy players, no strikers, no wingers.
Then you consider the match day 'experience' which is truly awful in terms of atmosphere, service and comfort.
Then the clown show off the pitch which has and will see us sell our best players, loan out our captain and bring in nothing but frees/loans to pad things out.
Next season could be the worst in my living memory in terms of value for money. If they really are going to freeze or raise prices I hope they sell barely any and have to play the first few games in an almost empty stadium.
Maybe that is what it will take for the owners and mgmt. to stop taking the piss out of us all.

Jesus, if we replace Broughton with Gestede that is a new low even for these guys.

What’s the point in having a DoF when we have no money to spend? It’s just a waste of a wage along with a scouting department.

Maybe it just reaffirms the belief there is no money to spend this summer. Why have a director of football or a scouting team when all we spend is a bag of haribo and a fizzy pop on players

I would right off any of our current attacking players, they are not good enough to be first team starters. Dolan, Gallagher, Siggy, Markanday, Telalovic only good for the bench or out the door IMO.
We need 3/4 new ones ideally 2 tricky, pacey type players who can dribble and 2 who can score goals inside/outside the box. Some ability to hold up the ball would be a bonus.

he said 3 areas of the team not players.
If you were limited to three signings, which of our current player’s would you start? "

He gifted Ipswich and Sheffield Wednesday wins at Ewood - it absolutely is a disaster if he's not replaced.
He made a mistake, Dom Hyam made 4 against Bristol City but gets far less complaints. If you go back over the season you can pin goals on most of our players it just goes unnoticed when they arent a GK.
I stand by my view, if we can only get in 3 players they should all be attackers. Even if Pears drops a couple in his net it wont matter if we cant score at the other.

I’d love to upgrade Pears but it isn’t a disaster if we don’t. Same for the defence and midfield.
If we don’t sign wingers and forwards this summer it will be a season like the last 15 or so games but without Szmodic. We will be lucky to score at all.

😂 I was giving it a few months to suss out how crap we will be but by all means it might be sooner

We could stumble on with our gk defence and midfield.
we absolutely cannot survive next season without two first choice winger and a striker. Spend every last penny here and then bodge a few loans in to cover other positions.

See you all in October 😂
Massive relief and let’s see what the summer brings

I’m not normally one to slag off Gallagher but he looks totally uninterested today and barely lifted his legs all game.

It’s lining up for a goal difference relegation.

There is an air of predictability about today. I can see us slip into the relegation places on goal difference with 10 mins to go.
For those of us on this thread back before Xmas it has felt inevitable all season with the performances, management, squad quality and circus off the field.
I just hope that come 2:30pm we scrape through and we can all just forgot this season ever happened. With 6 home wins all season it shouldn’t be hard to.

Appears to be no recognition of the total lack of wins/points since he came in or that he is under pressure if we go down.

It’s not just about statistics is it ? He was the one player who could consistently get us from deep in our half to deep in the opponents half with a pass or a carry. Tronstad can’t, Travis couldn’t , JRC could do it once in half a dozen games. It’s not his fault if he was laying balls on a plate for the other dopes to squander.
The difference without Wharton is palpable, with him balls went forward or in behind to start attacking play.
Without him we continually go across the back line into the corner, back out again, across the line. Meanwhile all 11 opposition players have filled their box whilst we move it along like a hot potato going nowhere.

His points return is awful and his media talk infuriating. I wouldn’t mind if he left at the end of the season.
At the same time the squad is poor from an attacking sense. Losing Wharton and not replacing him was the death of passing it forwards. Costello has had a go but largely looked poor in that role, same for Buckley.

Well it's pretty much guaranteed that we lose and by a decent margin. So we are relying on the 3 other teams to lose or draw to keep us up.
Pray to whatever god you believe in.

I think the abysmal quality of our loans this season is a large factor in how we have ended up in this mess.
The last good loan we had was Harvey Elliot and almost all of them since have been no better than our own u23s.

Thought we did ok today but just had no luck in the box with lots of missed/blocked chances. Its largely down to a lack of attacking quality as we have mentioned loads of times, the final ball or finish poor most the time.
Just feel flat and have done for a while, want the season declared safe and over but rovers just keep prolonging the agony. Its slim that all the results go against us next week but would be just our luck it happens.

Szmodics trying to create a siege mentality for tomorrow. If more of the squad had his mentality and attitude then I wouldn't be as fearful of going down but sadly there are too many surrender monkeys for my liking.
Hopefully by tomorrow evening I am eating my words.
The players have proved time and time again at Ewood this season that they are complete bottle jobs. We have barely taken a point off anyone at home and just turn up expecting to lose these days.
All we hear before these 'crucial' games is about how the fans need to get behind them and all stick together. Then when Saturday comes they play like non-league plodders kicking them in their own net or passing it out of play.
Then after the game the manager and players say "we have an incredible opportunity next week to put it right". Well guess what dickheads you have run out of games.

As soon as I saw it mentioned in the fans forum that the average ticket at other clubs has gone up 3/4% or whatever its clear what is being positioned.
Best we could hope for is a price freeze ( which as another poster said is £50 more than most paid last year).
If PNE tickets are £250 does that make ours almost £200 more expensive? Plus no free child places.
And the club/players wonder why we are all so pissed off and won't renew.
-
Presumably the Wharton and Raya money will be drip feed in small amounts over their contracts. That probably means Szmodic goes to keep us going till after xmas.
That or they will have to take out some dodgy loan like last time. This £1 for £1 offsetting with the bank of India seems to be pie in the sky as they could have already done that if it was the case.

Yet somehow we still lose £20m a season. Something stinks at the club
