  1. I donโ€™t blame Brittain for going he can earn a load more money elsewhere, we would all do the same.

If the club wasnโ€™t a total circus he would have been tied down and the club looking at large profit.

This only ends one way if the plan is to live within our means with little or no investment from our owners. If we are lucky itโ€™s league 1 but could easily end up league 2.

Sell all three if they donโ€™t sign contracts.

We lost three players on a free before and Iโ€™d rather get some money than lose them on a free- especially Brittain- everything that is wrong with modern football in a nutshell.

Iโ€™ve got to the point where id rather have the players for a year and let them go for free.ย

The club have shown when we do sell players it makes no difference whatsoever to the transfer budget or bringing in players of anywhere near the same quality.

May as well just enjoy them whilst we can.

    They're clearly linked.

You're not going to be squeaky clean in one aspect of your business if you're dirty in another.ย

The figures simply do not add up - this flat ยฃ20m loss year in, year out despite the fact they've decimated our playing squad stinks to high heaven.

Two Venkyโ€™s examples are them buying a house to stay when coming to see Rovers then declaring it a chicken farm or something similar.

They also sent ยฃ2m to Rovers but then diverted it to Akon the rapper (although this seems so bizarre maybe I dreamt it!).

Whilst Iโ€™m not happy at the running of the club etc to say the current squad is equal to coyles is simply just not trueย

do we need replacements absolutely and hopefully some more experienced ones (jury is out on that one given rudys youngsters claim)

but if season were to start tomorrow we still have a team/squad there capable of mid tableย

obviously of Travis/tronstad or both go that could change the conversation but to say at present it is like coyles team is simply wrongย

I said since Coyle - agree his was worst.

Our first 11 is good enough to compete at the lower end of the table but behind that it's dross and I am sure the club is eyeing more exits to pay the bills.ย

Dolan hasn't made that big a difference has he?

Weimann and Baath have more or less been replaced and there are signs, shock horror, of pace in the squad.

Theose are 3 proven championship level players, 2 of which are 2/3rd top scorers and one is our best defender.

The 2 players that have been brought in are some unknown bargain basements that have no track record or experience at this level.

None of the two signings replace Dolan or Batth? You could even argue Weimann hasn't been replaced given the Belgian has played mainly as a left wing back before joining us and has no record of goals or assists.

From a financial perspective where we are going makes sense... Only way to make the numbers work is with players coming from leagues where a 5-10k tops a week wage offer is attractive. A question i have is has anyone done that in the Championship? I can't think of one, but my knowledge of other clubs is not the best.

Plenty of promoted club have given it a go with League One players, but I cant think of any who have brought over lots of cheap overseas players with no British experience. But its such an obvious thing to do financially presumably someone has? Closest I can come up with is the loan models of clubs like Wolves but that was usually with partnerships with clubs for loans. I guess Brentford 5-6 years ago was maybe something similar? But feel they were probably offering more cash and buying from further up the food chain abroad?

A lot resting on the scouts really making good calls.

A few years ago they talked about a new rule where wages had to be 70% or less of income (something like that). Seems to have gone quiet but appears we are moving to that sort of model.

Will end in relegation as our income is pants vs other clubs.

  7. We don't have a pot to piss in. Free transfers and loans is all I expect. I also don't believe we paid any more than a few 100k for the two lads we have signed spread over 3-4 years to make it affordable.

What worries me most is we aren't being linked with any frees or loans as at least these could be achievable. Players worth ยฃ4m is laughable to be linked with.

  8. Dolan had a brilliant last few months in a rovers shirt and was probably our best player.
    ย

Whether that is him improving and becoming more effective or just a blip is a matter of debate. The Dolan of prior seasons I would have been less upset to see leave.
    ย

He is a an honest and hard working lad though so would like to think itโ€™s improvement rather than him just working a bit harder for a big move.

    Definitely be missed next season.
