  1. Any goodwill from existing paying fans has been burnt by Waggot and Venkys so they will lose rather than gain fans in summer I think.

Maybe if they invest in some good players and we get off to a good start there is a flurry of ST sales late in the summer.

£250 in the riverside and free tickets for u15s with a paying ST holder (like PNE do) would be a good start. Gets the younger crowd in and converts them to paying fans later in life.

Given the shambles on and off the pitch though I'm not sure even that would get more through the door, especially if we flog Sammy early doors.

  2. He has looked inconsistent but is one of the few players we have who want to play it forward.

I wish he didn’t dwell on the ball so much especially in risky situations. As Matty said probably too much of a risk whilst in a relegation fight.

Ayari is probably ahead of him in centre mid as well if Tronstad/JRC drops out.

  3. The Wharton and Raya money is already gone to cover the Venky financial failings in my opinion.

if we do sell Sammy in the summer hopefully at least some of that would be reinvested. It wouldn’t surprise me if we are looking at frees and loans again though now Venkys have a taste for keeping their money in their pocket.

  4. Without Wharton pulling the strings we have nobody to create any chances.

Without his through balls you need players bursting down the wings, taking on a man, having a shot from range, powering onto  crosses and smashing it in.

We have no players who can do that. It’s a team of hard working lads who want to pass it 5 yards to the next one.

The recruitment has been total shite for far too long and losing Wharton without replacing him is the final nail in the championship coffin.

  5. We miss him massively, he was the only creative player in a side of plodders.

If we do end up going down this season I’d pin it largely on him leaving. The only way it should have happened in January was if we had 4-5 money signings through the door at the same time.

  6. It feels like relegation is our destiny. Played well apart from the first 20mins. Ipswich started a lot more aggressive and were hungry for the points, no excuses for that John.

Eustace and rovers really need a win. We have had an awful points return against some pretty poor sides in recent weeks.

The squad is crying out for some wingers and a striker. Recruitment has been total shit for too long.

  7. Again not surprised the players weren't happy, especially the defensive ones which were hung out to dry by JDT suicide football. If I was left in regular 3 vs 1 scenarios or being given a hospital pass in their own area whilst being closed down by the opposition I would feel the same.

Either way it didn't need to be said, just go out and win some matches. There is far too much talk from the players, manager, DOF at the moment without the results to go with them.

  8. Just listened through and the guy certainly talks a good game. The proof will be in the pudding this summer, less talk more signings. And good ones for decent money not some unknown b team players with potential.

I won't be renewing my season ticket until there is some evidence of ambition this summer after the Waggot pre-season surrender last year.
