All this narrative on this board tonight is very surprising...
Rothwell has been in our top 3 players this season.....
Now he's shit🤣
Just goes to show, maybe don't take Aberdeen fans' current opinion on Hedges at face value.

Found this while looking for transfer news according to this they are after Tony
Haha imagine if Mowbray jumped ship now too!

There's no way they don't know how this will go down with fans. They MUST have some deals lined up, which could well be exciting.

Uh oh. Pete O'Rourke is as well connected and trustworthy as they come.

Wouldn’t touch Jozwiak with a barge pole. Doesn’t fancy the rough and tumble of the championship. Sibley and Bielik now your talking.
Bielik is just coming back from his second ACL in as many years. Wouldnt take the risk, given we're already in that boat with Dack.

Mowbray said yesterday Hedges isn't Rothwell replacement:
"It’s not Hedges for Rothwell, no. Hedges is just about a free transfer, we have to pay a little bit of money to get him. He’s out of contract in four months time and they’re basically worth nothing to us after this window shuts.”

Bang on. Could of kept things behind closed doors but needed to force Venkys hand.
targets will have been sounded out, we will be working on the deals now, knowing the Rothwell money is incoming.
I hope you're right but we were hardly as proactive as you assume with the Armstrong money were we

Darragh down-tooled when we got relegated and Sheff United wanted him. They’re ALL the same. Please don’t think they’re not.
And the irony is it's often the manager that genuinely cares most about the club, its fans and wider community yet he is the first person the fans turn on and is binned off.

Yet it’s enough to buy 2 ‘very good’ 23/24 year olds from the championship?
Depends on your...or rather TM's...definition of very good. Hedges is costing £200k, how would TM refer to him?

£6m does seem extremely high for somebody with only 6 months left.
It seems completely unrealistic to me. I imagine the final fee, if it happens, will be far less.

Battling performance from a patched up side. Take the point.

If you look at the last 5 games, Fulham and QPR have done better than we have. Expecting Fulham to finish first but getting really edgy about QPR!
Not sure about QPR, you can't keep relying on late goals and not sure what strength in depth they have. Main threats in my mind are Bournemouth, WBA if they get their act together possibly under a new manager, Forest and Boro.

Sam fucking Gallagher!

That Sheff Utd side Wilder brought to Ewood in their promotion year still sticks in my mind as one of the best away performances in recent years. A top manager at this level. People are right to be wary.

Big 'ol bloody game this one now!

Where's Sharpe got rest of the season from? TM said 'more than a few weeks' but didn't put timescale on it.

At least it happened now with time to bring someone extra in on loan

Edun wasn’t great first half at all but I thought in the second half he was our best player. Not that that’s saying much.
Agree with this, especially going forward

Thought Kaminsky was really poor for the goal tbh. Was never getting to the ball.
Then makes a terrific save.
He was barged about 6 foot out of the way!

Chris Wilder has the measure of Tony Mowbray as proven in previous seasons. Big league game coming up and potential playoff game. Hope TM is ready!

But for that 7-0 home defeat we probably wouldn't have gone on the run we have weirdly

With Sky Leeds in the PL they seem to have been replaced by Sky Coventry.
QPR have definitely taken that mantle. Including next two, they'll have had about 5 games in a row on Sky.

January Transfer window 2022
in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard

"Rovers have a contingency plan in place in anticipation of a Rothwell exit but you can't have one without the other. Mowbray affirmed 'they would be stupid' if they were to sanction Rothwell's departure without some form of guarantee on the incoming front and the club already have a variety of options in mind."
Expectations have been set. Up to the club to make this Rothwell move a disaster or an opportunity.
