I'm not sure what I have said that is wrong. There are only a select few clubs that would result in Wrexham fans scrambling like mad to get a ticket for. You would NOT be scrambling like mad to get a ticket at Bolton, Preston, Wigan, Plymouth, Barnsley, as there is no glamour in those ties. You would not sell out those away ends.

Which of the following do you disagree with? Wrexham get drawn away against any of the below:

1) Man Utd at Old Trafford - 9,000 allocation. You sell out in a flash.

2) Man City at the Etihad - 4,500 allocation. You sell out in a flash.

3) Liverpool at Anfield - 6,000 allocation. You sell out in a flash.

4) Chelsea at Stamford Bridge - 6,000 allocation. You sell out in a flash.

5) Arsenal at The Emirates - 7,000 allocation. You sell out in a flash.

6) Tottenham at the new White Hart Lane - 9,000 allocation. You sell out in a flash.

7) Newcastle at St. James Park - 6,000 allocation. You sell out in a flash.

8. Leeds at Elland Road - 5,000 allocation. You sell out in a flash.

9. Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park - 7,000 allocation. 6,800 sold in just over a day. That's a fact. You sell out in a flash.

What does that tell you?

Are any of the above suggestions wrong, in your view? You're coming in droves to see the former champions, still a respected name in the game, despite the dickheads running the club. Fair play to you, but you will be shocked by how we look today.

I'm not knocking Wrexham or your owners. No problem with the netflix doc or your new fans either. Our nightmare with the worst owners in England goes on, but I'm genuinely pleased Wrexham now have ambitious owners and their dark days are a distant memory. We would all love to say that about Rovers, but it might get a lot worse before it gets better for us.

Good luck for the rest of the season, apart from at Ewood, of course.

It always pleases me to see the minnows looking forward to their big day out at Ewood Park. We see it often with PNE. While it is impressive that Wrexham have sold that many in such a short space of time, would there be such a fanfare and following if they were drawn away at Luton, Plymouth, Barnsley, Burnley and the like? If the Wrexham fans are honest with themselves, they know the answer to that. They have only sold this many because it's Blackburn Rovers they are up against. Only six or seven other clubs in England would cause Wrexham fans to snap up tickets this quick, and they know it.

Unfortunately, they are in for a major shock when they see for themselves the damage that has been done by 13 years of Venky's. That doesn't change the truth though regarding their fans:

It's a case of hoping something crops up during this investigation which forces a change of tack from the Court.

Unlikely, but we never know what could happen. It's the only out we have right now, if the Court was to refuse them permission.

That's exactly it. None of this feels natural. It's a terrible situation in the context of a football fan, which nobody understands apart from people on here.

People on the outside look at the club, without knowing anything apart from 'oh those chicken owners, yeah, shame'. They look at the Championship table and think it's not that bad, but the situation is worse than they can imagine. 13 years of this is incredible.

Venkys maintaining their position as one of the best ownerships in the league. They have been for years! Pumping money in year after year after year.

 

The support Venkys have put in to #rovers is incredible and would be more if not for ffp. Yes they were badly advised to begin with but the club is stable and competitive because of them. Without them the club wouldn’t exist. 

I know this is a fan who has tweeted the above. However, those words in bold, I have seen before on twitter.

From a guy who is saying Venky's saved the club from the 'turmoil' post Jack. Ha.

A lack of knowledge about the club, in particular the last 13 years, plus a "let's just be positive" outlook is a dangerous combination. It's due to this combination that there is no discontent aimed towards Venky's at Ewood, imo.

Yep, Sutton is our best hope of bringing attention to this mess. He had it spot on with his analysis of the club on Sky, it could have been any one of us on here speaking that day. I'm not sure if it was during that piece, but I remember him saying his son is an avid Rovers fan who follows all the ins and outs closely and keeps on top of what's going on.

His son could very well be a visitor/member of this forum, as there's nowhere else online that discusses Rovers in the way that we do here.

To be fair to Shearer, he did say the following when over in India working for the Premier League. Starts at 1:18 of the clip. Granted, it was a few years ago, but still:

I enjoyed watching Gally play for us. He wasn't the biggest or the quickest, but even at that young age you could see that he had the technical quality to make a contribution. He was surrounded by experienced heads who could help him out and advise when needed. That's how it should be. Not making them central figures allowing all the pressure to be placed on them.

I remember it was Gally who played a superb through ball to Jon Stead for the winner against United in 2004. He played his part alongside Stead in the second half of that season, to steer us away from trouble, and that's how I mostly remember his time here.

A goal of his that often comes to mind when I see his name mentioned, is the late equaliser against Chelsea at Ewood in Feb 2004. Narrow angle, he somehow clipped it past Cudicini (I think it was). Clever finish. I was sat right behind it in the Riverside. Of course, in typical Rovers fashion, we went and lost the game in injury time.

He wasn't quite good enough to be a Premier League regular, in a side that was trying to achieve top 10 and more, but had a good career in the Divisions below.

Oh and just on that clip. Good link up by Gally, but what a ball from Coley for the first goal. Superb!

True, it is an old article. There are a couple of key pointers in there though that need to be picked up on, imo.

I was initially for the Gelhardt signing when he was first linked with us, as he looked like a player in the short time that I saw him at Leeds.

However, he didn't do much in a Sunderland shirt. Would he be worth bringing here? We are that short on options and quality and we need fresh ideas up there, so maybe.

I don't think he would be a Gallagher replacement though. I think it's likely to be Ennis out on loan, replaced by Gelhardt on loan.

The buffoons are sure to have a silly valuation in mind for Gallagher, like they did with Brereton, and if it isn't met, he's probably going nowhere.

A bit of research shows that Ennis shares the same agent as Harry Pickering, Patrick Gamble and Luke Brennan (former Rovers youth player).

I didn't know until yesterday, but a transfer target of ours, who we have been linked with a few times previously, including just last week, also has the same agent. Joe Gelhardt.

What transfer rumour was going around the other day. Was it Ennis going out on loan?

Very reminiscent of the Scott Dann signing. He played like he didn't want to be here, was shite most of the time, apart from a few games here and there.

As soon as I saw that Blackburn End moment from Hyam, I was done with him. Never in the class of Nelsen, Short, Berg etc as a player or leader.
